Abstract

This study is the result of research that describes what are the errors in the use of research terms in the theses of Arabic language education students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Language error analysis is the process of identifying, analyzing, and understanding errors that occur in language use, both in writing and conversation. The understanding of grammatical errors, vocabulary, spelling, syntax, and improper use of idioms. Where these language errors are often seen in the writing of scientific papers or theses. The background of the author to make this thesis is based on observations and readings made by the author on errors or inaccuracies in the use of research terms in the theses of Arabic language education students in the central library of UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Where the use of Arabic research terms is not maximized so that repeated errors occur in the thesis or scientific work. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection methods, namely reading and writing, and documentation. The population in this study is the thesis of Arabic Language Education students class of 2018 and the sample in this study is as many as 15 theses class of 2018 and additional data 10 theses class of 2023, using data collection techniques, data grouping, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that the use of the term thesis in writing the thesis of Arabic Language Education students still has many repeated mistakes. Of the 25 theses of Arabic language education students in 2018 and 2023, researchers found 24 errors, 6 errors in vocabulary selection and 18 errors in grammar (ibaroh). With this research, it can be a positive impact for students in the use of thesis research terms and can also be a source of easy improvement recommendations where repeated errors are expected to be minimized again and are expected to be eliminated. Hopefully, the interest and enthusiasm of researchers can make students' scientific work more qualified so that readers can more easily understand the contents of the theses that have been made.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of intonation and rhythm in the production of Arabic utterances by non-native adult learners. in the production of Arabic utterances by non-native adult learners. native speakers. Through an experimental approach, this study examines the effects of prosody training on prosody training on fluency and intelligibility of Arabic speech production. Participants participants consisted of 30 adult learners studying Arabic as a second language at an advanced level. as a second language at an advanced level. Results showed that training in intonation and rhythm training significantly improved fluency, clarity and accuracy of meaning in their utterances. These findings reinforce the importance of prosody in Arabic language acquisition and recommends the implementation of prosody training in the language learning curriculum. in the language learning curriculum

Abstract

The Arabic language plays a significant role in shaping and expressing the cultural identity of Muslim communities, both in the Arab world and within diaspora communities. This study aims to present a systematic review of academic literature examining the relationship between Arabic language and cultural identity from a sociolinguistic perspective. Using a qualitative literature study approach, data were obtained from twenty selected scholarly sources and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings indicate that Arabic serves not only as a communication tool but also as a religious, ethnic, and national symbol that mediates identity construction through practices such as diglossia, code-switching, and code-mixing. Dialectal variations and the use of Arabic in digital media further strengthen cosmopolitan and religious identities. This study also highlights the influence of globalization, migration, and technological transformation on the position of Arabic in the contemporary social landscape. By integrating theories of linguistic identity, language ideology, and linguistic anthropology, this research produces a new conceptual synthesis that explains the multidimensional relationship between Arabic language and cultural identity. These findings are expected to serve as theoretical and methodological foundations for future studies in linguistics, education, and Islamic cultural studies.

Abstract

Kesenjangan antara pendekatan teoritis dan keterampilan praktis dalam pembelajaran tafsir, ta’wil, dan terjemahan masih menjadi persoalan utama dalam kurikulum pendidikan bahasa Arab di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi ketiga konsep tersebut berdasarkan perspektif pengajar dan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kepustakaan, dengan metode wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tafsir dan ta’wil dianggap penting dalam pengajaran bahasa Arab, penerapannya masih dominan pada ranah teoritis. Mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan dalam memahami konsep tersebut secara praktis, khususnya terkait dengan konteks terjemahan. Penelitian ini menawarkan kontribusi kebaruan melalui pendekatan analisis dua perspektif yang mengungkap sejauh mana ketiga pendekatan makna ini diinternalisasi dalam proses pembelajaran dan bagaimana integrasinya dapat diperkuat melalui pengembangan kurikulum kontekstual dan pelatihan berbasis praktik.

Abstract

الملخص: يصبح تحول المنهج ونموذج التعليم للغة العربية في المدرسة ضرورة في العصر الرقمي، بالتزامن مع مطالب تقدم تكنولوجيا المعلومات وتغيير نموذج التربية في القرن الحادي والعشرين. تهدف هذه الدراسة الى تحليل ديناميكية تغيير المنهج واستراتيجية التعليم للغة العربية ذات الصلة والمبتكرة والسياقية بشكل شامل، بمنهج الدراسة المكتبية لسبعة عشر مقالا من المجلات العلمية الحديثة. تستخدم الدراسة المنهج النوعي الوصفي التحليلي بتقنية تحليل المحتوى نموذج مايلز وهوبرمان، تشمل تقليل البيانات والعرض واستخلاص الخلاصة. تظهر نتائج الدراسة ان منهج ميرديكا يوفر مساحة مرونة تربوية، مما يتيح اعتماد التكنولوجيا الرقمية في شكل وسائل تفاعلية وتطبيقات التعليم والمنهج القائم على المشروع. لكن تنفيذ هذه السياسة يواجه تحديات مثل انخفاض محو الامية الرقمية للمعلمين ومحدودية البنية التحتية ومقاومة ابتكار التعليم. تؤكد خلاصة هذه الدراسة على اهمية التناغم بين اصلاح المنهج وتدريب المعلمين المستمر وتطوير وسائل التدريس السياقية وسياسة التقييم التكيفي لخلق التعليم للغة العربية الفعال والشامل والتنافسي وسط تيار رقمنة التربية.

Abstract

This study explores the role of ChatGPT as an interactive dictionary in enhancing mahārah kitābah (Arabic writing skills) learning. Arabic writing remains a challenging area due to learners’ limited vocabulary, complex grammatical structures, and insufficient feedback, which highlights the necessity of adopting technology-based pedagogical solutions. To address these challenges, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines to ensure methodological rigor and transparency. The review analyzed 15 peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2025, systematically selected from Scopus, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results demonstrate that ChatGPT substantially enhances vocabulary retention (reported in seven studies), improves grammatical accuracy (five studies), and promotes learner motivation and autonomy (four studies). Despite these advantages, the findings also reveal challenges, including the risk of overreliance on AI-generated input and the need for teacher scaffolding to sustain creativity and critical thinking. In conclusion, ChatGPT shows strong potential as an interactive dictionary for supporting mahārah kitābah within digital Arabic language education. The study contributes by synthesizing current empirical evidence and offering pedagogical insights for integrating artificial intelligence into Arabic language curricula in a balanced, ethical, and effective manner.
