Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan jahe dan daun afrika fermentasi terhadap performa broiler. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yaitu lima perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Setiap unit penelitian terdiri dari lima ekor broiler. Perlakuan penambahan jahe dan daun afrika fermentasi dalam air minum terdiri dari: A0 = 0 %, A1 = 1 %, A2 = 1,5 %, A3 = 2 %, A4 = 2,5 %. Variabel yang diamati adalah pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan dan konsumsi pakan. Data yang didapat dalam penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA). Setelah dilakukan analisis sidik ragam terdapat pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) maka diuji lanjut menggunakan DMRT. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi pakan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) dengan penambahan jahe dan daun afrika fermentasi, sedangkan konsumsi pakan tidak dipengaruhi oleh penambahan jahe dan daun afrika fermentasi (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan perlakuan yang terbaik adalah penambahan jahe dan daun afrika fermentasi sebanyak 1,5% terhadap pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum sedangkan penambahan jahe dan daun afrika fermentasi sampai 2,5% dapat ditolerir broiler terhadap konsumsi pakan.   Kata kunci: Daun Afrika, Konsumsi pakan, Konversi pakan, Jahe, Pertambahan bobot badan

Abstract

The change in behavior from miners back to farmers requires the people of Palaluar Nagari to reclaim their land, which is generally a former gold mine. However, natural land reclamation takes quite a long time and costs a lot of money so it needs support from various parties, especially the government. Government of Palaluar Nagari, in order to improve land to achieve food security, launched a program based on sustainable agriculture. Sustainable tourism development by utilizing local resources does not only focus on environmental aspects but also economic and social aspects of the community. The implementation of land reclamation is carried out by developing educational tourism which involves tourists in reclaiming land, which includes two edutourism packages, namely the Sitampan Edutourism Package and the Sikamek Edutourism Package which are based on an integrated farming system and are a form of sustainable tourism. The research aims to examine the potential for developing sustainable agriculture-based education tourism in Palaluar Nagari using descriptive methods. The development of educational tourism on reclaimed land from a former gold mine in Nagari Palaluar based on sustainable agriculture has development potential because it provides positive impacts from social, economic and environmental aspects.

Abstract

This study evaluated the effect of incorporating stingless bee honey (Trigona spp.) into butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea L.) kombucha in drinking water on cholesterol levels, abdominal fat, and carcass yield in broilers. A completely randomized design with five treatments (T0: control; T1-T4: kombucha with 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% stingless bee honey) and four replicates were used. Treatments were administered through drinking water for two weeks. Results showed that honey-enriched kombucha significantly reduced cholesterol levels, with the best result observed in T4 (95±4.63 mg/100 g). Abdominal fat decreased and carcass percentage increased, although not statistically significant. These findings suggest that stingless bee honey-enriched kombucha has potential as a natural feed additive to produce healthier broiler meat, likely mediated through enhanced antioxidant activity and inhibition of HMG-CoA reductase.
