Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan LKS berbasis hierarki konsep pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Kevalidan diukur dari penilaian validator dari aspek materi, media, dan bahasa menggunakan lembar validasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi ahli. Validasi terhadap LKS berbasis hierarki konsep dilakukan oleh dua orang validator. Data penelitian yang diperoleh berupa skor kevalidan LKS berbasis hierarki konsep dari lembar validasi ahli materi, media, dan bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS Berbasis Hierarki Konsep yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari aspek materi, media, dan bahasa telah valid dengan nilai kevalidan rata-rata sebesar 1,00 dan berada pada kriteria sangat tinggi, sehingga telah dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.Kata Kunci: kevalidan, LKS hierarki konsep, kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan

Abstract

Approximately, 325 cultivars of bananas were found in Indonesia. They have variation in shape, taste, color of fruit pulp, essential vitamins and mineral. The β-carotene is one of essential nutrient in banana with various concentration in every cultivar. The aims of this research were to describe the morphological characteristics and to analyze β-carotene content of mature fruits of three different genomic groups of Indonesian dessert and cooking banana cultivars namely Berlin (AA/dessert), Barangan (AAA/dessert), and Kepok (ABB/cooking). Morphological characterizations of fruits were conducted according to Descriptor for Banana from International Plant Genetic Resources Institute. The β-carotene content of mature banana pulp was analyzed using High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method with three replications. Banana fruit characters were analyzed based on 15 descriptors. The bananas were then subjected to clustering analysis.  The result showed that β-carotene content  were 27 μg 100g-1, 5 µg 100g-1, and 3 μg 100g-1 fresh weight respectively. Berlin showed the highest value of β-carotene. Cluster analyses formed two groups. The first group consists of Berlin and Barangan while the second one consists of Kepok. This study can be used as a a reference for people to consume bananas with high content of β-carotene in meeting the needs of vitamin A and as a consideration for the plant breeding especially for β-carotene improvement purpose.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop valid, practical, and effective guided inquiry teaching set to improve the students’ achievement on the course of Analytical Chemistry in Muhammadiyah University. The researcher applied Thiagarajan 3-D model; define, design, and develop. The sample of this research was obtained by purposive sampling resulted in 7 students as the try out sample and 16 students as the main test sample. The data was collected by measurement, and indirect observation. The instruments of this research were pre-test and post-test questions, observation sheets, and questionnaire sheets. The findings of this research showed that the validity of the teaching set was given the score 1,00 by expert; the practicality of the teaching set from the students’ responses was given the score 75,60 and 82,46; the students’ achievement after utilizing the guided inquiry based teaching set showed that 81,25% fulfill the criteria of completeness. For that reason, the guided inquiry based teaching set developed in this research is suitable to be used in the teaching and learning process. Keywords: Guided inquiry, chromatography, the development of a teaching set

Abstract

This research aimed to developed an evaluation instrument based on Kahoot! valid, practical, and reliable in evaluating student learning. This research is a model of development that use Borg and Gall. There were seven stages performed, starting with research and data collection, planning, product design development, initial field trials, review of initial trial results, main field trials, and refinement of field trial results. This research was conducted at Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak Senior High School. As nine samples for the initial field trial and 29 samples involved for the main field trial. Three instruments developed by the researcher were validity, practicality, and reliability. The research data was obtained from the instrument as a result of the validation of materials experts and media experts, as well as questionnaires for teacher and student responses to the Kahoot! based evaluation instrument. The percentage of teachers and student responses to the instrument were 97.22% and 83.33%, respectively (very practical). Validation of materials experts and media experts with the respective percentages of 81.73% and 80.47% (very valid) and the obtained confidence value is 0.89 (very reliable). The results of this study indicated the instrument can be used in the evaluation of learning about acid-base materials.

Abstract

A coated-wire ion selective electrode (CWISE) based on chitosan as a carrier for detection of chromate, was developed. CWISE has easy measurement for field analysis, good selectivity and sensitivity. The CWISE’s membrane consist of mixture an active material of chitosan, aliquat 336-chromate, polyvinylchloride (PVC) and dioctylphtalate (DOP) as plasticizer = 4:0.5:35:60.5 (% w/w) dissolved in tetrahydrofuran (THF) solvent (1:3 w/v). The electrode exhibited a good Nernstian slope of 29.77±0.03 mV/decade and a linear concentration range from 10-6 to 10-1 M for chromate. The limit of detection was 1.862 x 10-6 M. It had response time of 20 – 40 sec, and could be used for 49 days. This chromate selective-electrode was found more selective towards the chromate ion than other anions, useable in pH range of 5.0 – 9.0 and temperature of 20 – 50 oC. It was applied as an electrode for direct determination of chromate in water samples and their result compared to standard spectrophotometric method.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar dan keterampilan sosial siswa diduga karena model pembelajaran yang diterapkan disekolah masih menggunakan metode ceramah yang belum mampu melibatkan siswa berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran, sehingga dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan sosial siswa. Tujuan khusus penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) keterlaksanaan RPP, (2) hasil belajar, (3) keterampilan sosial, (4) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas 2 siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Temuan penelitian: (1) keterlaksanaan RPP pada siklus I dan II berkategori sangat baik yaitu 85,2% dan 89,36%,  (2) ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa siklus I  sebesar 66,66% (tidak tuntas), dan  siklus II sebesar 80,95% (tuntas), (3) keterampilan sosial siswa pada siklus I sebesar 82,81% dan siklus II 84,68% dengan kategori sangat berhasil, (4) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran adalah baik. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT efektif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan sosial siswa kelas IX A SMPN 17 Banjarmasin pada pokok bahasan listrik dinamis.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning model that can improve students' collaboration and communication skills. The learning model developed is called the PBIESPL (Project Based Integrated Environmental Science Problem Learning) with authentic assessment. This study used reseach and development methods with reference to Borg and Gall consisting of preliminary study, development, and testing. The validity of the learning model was carried out by 20 science learning experts and analyzed using the Lawshe method. The results of the validity test of the PBIESPL learning model with authentic assessment showed an average CVR = 0.99, which means it is very valid.  Based on the results of this study, it is known that the PBIESPL learning model with authentic assessments can be implemented by educators in their classroom learning because it can improve students’ collaboration and communication skills and then can facilitate educators in assessing student skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat karbohidrat optimal dalam pakan untuk mendukung kinerja pertumbuhanikan tengadak (Barbonymus achwanefeldii). Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan yaitu tingkat karbohidrat dalam pakan yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu; 10%; 20%; 30%; dan 40%, dengan 3 ulangan. Pakan percobaan yang mengandung protein sama (isoprotein) dan energi yang juga sama (isokalori) diberikan pada ikan tengadak berukuran rata-rata3,66±0,49 g yang dipelihara di akuarium selama 60 hari. Ikan tengadak diberi pakan percobaan sesuai perlakuan secara adsatiasi dengan frekwensi 3 kali sehari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan dengan tingkat karbohidrat dalam pakan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kandungan protein dan lemak tubuh, retensi protein dan lemak tubuh, laju pertumbuhn harian, jumlah konsumsi pakan harian dan efisiensi pakan. Perlakuan terbaik adalah ikan tengadak yang diberi pakan dengan kadar karbohidrat 20%, dengan nilai  kandungan protein tubuh  50,94±0,45 %; lemak tubuh 23,49±0,13 %; retensi protein 22,13±0,04 %; retensi lemak 30,93±0,01 %; laju pertumbuhan harian 3,52 %; jumlah konsumsi pakan harian 0,53±0,02 g dan efisiensi pakan 55.68±1.35 %. Tingkat karbohidrat dalam pakan ikan tengadak yang optimal adalah 22,89 %. Kata Kunci: karbohidrat, kinerja pertumbuhan, kan tengadak dan Barbonymus schwanenfeldii

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the differences in student learning outcomes based on the low student learning outcomes which are below the KKM value ≥ 70 and aimed at knowing the magnitude of the influence of the use of cooperative models Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) with those taught using conventional models of class X class 10 Pontianak SMA on the material of the atomic structure sub protons, neutrons, electrons and isotopes, isobar, isoton. The form of the research used was quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest design control group research design. The sample in this study was class XA students as the control class and XB as the experimental class. The data collection technique used was a measurement technique. Data collection tools used were interviews and test results of student learning in the form of essays. The results of statistical tests using the Mann Whitney U-test with α = 5% obtained a probability of <0.05, which meanth that Ho was rejected. These results indicated that there were significant differences between the learning outcomes of class X students of Pontianak State Senior High School on the material of atomic structure sub proton, neutron, electron and isotope, isobar, isoton. The magnitude of the influence of the use of the cooperative model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) on the atomic structure material of protons, neutrons, electrons and isotopes, isobars, isotons on student learning outcomes calculated by Effect Size was 0.431 which is categorized as medium. This showed that the use of the cooperative model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type had a categorical influence on the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak on the material of atomic structure sub proton, neutron, electron and isotope, isobar, isoton.
