Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how urgent it is for higher education institutions to adopt conflict management practices. Conflicts in the workplace are often caused by different perceptions, so it is very important to manage them effectively. In this study, participants from higher education organizations at a private university in Yogyakarta participated in interviews using descriptive qualitative methodology. The findings of the study indicate that conflict management can be beneficial for business in addition to being important for preventing losses. Effective problem solving is a sign of successful conflict management, where the ability of individuals to communicate effectively under the direction of a capable leader is essential to achieving common goals. Awareness of problems and conflict resolution skills can improve outcomes and strengthen companies in the face of adversity. This study confirms that the implementation of effective conflict management is essential for the development of higher education organizations.

Abstract

Job analysis is a strategic tool in improving teacher performance, which serves to identify the tasks, responsibilities, and obligations inherent in the position. The main issue raised is the importance of placing teachers according to their qualifications and skills. Research shows that proper placement can improve teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes, because teachers who understand their roles can make better contributions to the educational process. Related studies show that job analysis not only helps in teacher placement, but also in their professional development. By identifying training needs, schools can design appropriate programs to improve teacher competency. Previous research has indicated a positive relationship between job analysis and teacher performance, but there is still a lack of understanding of the specific factors that influence the effectiveness of job analysis itself. Existing research gaps include the lack of exploration of how job analysis can be implemented effectively in different contexts and its impact on teacher motivation and commitment. Although there is evidence that job analysis has a positive effect on performance, further research is needed to explore other variables that may contribute to the success of this implementation. Therefore, this study aims to provide further insight into the application of job analysis as a strategy to improve teacher performance in schools.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah menjadi isu lingkungan yang serius di Desa Grujugan Lor, Kabupaten Bondowoso, akibat rendahnya kesadaran warga dalam memilah dan membuang sampah. Melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) berbasis lingkungan, mahasiswa UIN KHAS Jember melaksanakan Program Peduli Sampah dengan tujuan meningkatkan kepedulian masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan. Program ini dilakukan selama 40 hari dengan metode partisipatif melalui observasi, penyuluhan, praktik lapangan, serta pengadaan beberapa unit tempat sampah terpilah di titik-titik strategis desa. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan adanya perubahan signifikan pada perilaku warga, di mana masyarakat mulai terbiasa memisahkan sampah organik dan anorganik. Dampak program tidak hanya terlihat pada meningkatnya kebersihan lingkungan, tetapi juga membuka potensi ekonomi sirkular melalui pengumpulan sampah anorganik untuk dijual dan pemanfaatan sampah organik sebagai kompos. Meski demikian, kendala masih ditemui, seperti keterbatasan kapasitas tempat sampah dan belum adanya sistem pengangkutan teratur. Secara keseluruhan, program ini terbukti mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya tujuan 11 tentang kota dan permukiman berkelanjutan serta tujuan 13 tentang aksi terhadap perubahan iklim. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penyediaan infrastruktur sederhana yang mudah diakses sebagai pemicu perubahan perilaku masyarakat terhadap lingkungan.
