Abstract

Abstract The approach of religious moderation is crucial in responding to the threats of extremism and religion-based violence in society. An effective strategy for religious moderation in preaching is needed to assist preachers, religious leaders, and the wider community in conveying Islamic values that promote tolerance, peace, and interfaith cooperation. This article aims to outline religious moderation preaching strategies as a guide for disseminating messages that support peace and reject extremism. This study employs a training method consisting of theoretical material delivery and in-depth discussions. The training was held at the East Jakarta office of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and was attended by preachers from various districts. During the training, materials on religious moderation preaching strategies were presented, followed by intensive discussions between the presenters and participants to deepen their understanding and application of the concepts. The training showed that participants gained new knowledge about religious moderation, particularly in dealing with communities vulnerable to extremism. The participants also experienced an increased understanding of the importance of an inclusive, tolerant, and socially contextual preaching approach in promoting the values of religious moderation.  The findings from the training affirm that preaching strategies emphasizing tolerance and interfaith harmony are more effective in preventing extremism compared to rigid approaches. In-depth discussions also helped strengthen participants’ understanding of the importance of considering social and cultural aspects in preaching activities. This study concludes that religious moderation preaching training can provide new insights and effective strategies for preachers and religious leaders in confronting extremism. A balanced and inclusive approach should continue to be developed to foster harmony in culturally and religiously diverse societies.   Abstrak Pendekatan moderasi beragama sangat penting dalam merespons ancaman ekstremisme dan kekerasan berbasis agama di tengah masyarakat. Strategi dakwah yang efektif dalam moderasi beragama diperlukan untuk membantu da’i, tokoh agama, serta masyarakat luas menyampaikan nilai-nilai Islam yang mendorong toleransi, perdamaian, dan kerja sama antar agama. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan strategi dakwah moderasi beragama sebagai panduan dalam menyebarluaskan pesan-pesan yang mendukung perdamaian serta menolak ekstremisme.   Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pelatihan yang terdiri dari pemberian materi teori dan diskusi mendalam. Pelatihan tersebut dilaksanakan di kantor sekretariat Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Jakarta Timur dan diikuti oleh da’i serta da’iyah dari berbagai kecamatan. Selama pelatihan, materi mengenai strategi dakwah moderasi beragama disampaikan, diikuti dengan diskusi intensif antara pemateri dan peserta untuk memperdalam pemahaman dan aplikasinya.  Pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta memperoleh pengetahuan baru terkait moderasi beragama, khususnya dalam menghadapi masyarakat yang rentan terhadap ekstremisme. Para peserta juga mengalami peningkatan pemahaman akan pentingnya pendekatan dakwah yang inklusif, toleran, dan menyesuaikan dengan konteks sosial dalam menyebarkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama. Temuan dari pelatihan ini menegaskan bahwa strategi dakwah yang menekankan toleransi dan harmoni antar umat beragama lebih efektif dalam menangkal ekstremisme dibandingkan dengan pendekatan yang rigid. Diskusi yang mendalam membantu memperkuat pemahaman peserta mengenai pentingnya mempertimbangkan aspek sosial dan budaya dalam aktivitas dakwah. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pelatihan dakwah moderasi beragama mampu memberikan wawasan baru dan strategi yang efektif bagi da’i dan tokoh agama dalam menghadapi ekstremisme. Pendekatan yang seimbang dan inklusif perlu terus dikembangkan guna menciptakan keharmonisan dalam masyarakat yang beragam secara budaya dan agama.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang dinamika kebijakan pendidikan Islam dalam konteks kebutuhan sosial masyarakat modern, dengan menyoroti bagaimana arah dan implementasi kebijakan dipengaruhi oleh kepentingan politik, sosial, dan budaya. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan sosiologis dengan menelaah empat fokus utama, politik kebijakan Islam, kebijakan manajemen pesantren, kebijakan manajemen madrasah, serta studi kasus terhadap Undang-Undang Pesantren dan Madrasah. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan Islam tidak hanya merupakan hasil dari proses birokratis semata, tetapi juga produk dari negosiasi antara aktor-aktor politik, kepentingan sosial, dan kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai agama. Dalam manajemen pesantren dan madrasah, terdapat tantangan dalam menyelaraskan regulasi negara dengan otonomi kelembagaan serta karakteristik lokal. Studi kasus Undang-Undang Pesantren/Madrasah memperlihatkan bagaimana kebijakan negara mampu mengafirmasi eksistensi lembaga pendidikan Islam sekaligus menimbulkan ketegangan terkait standar nasional pendidikan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan telaah pustaka, makalah ini menekankan pentingnya sinkronisasi antara kebijakan formal negara dan realitas sosial masyarakat demi terciptanya sistem pendidikan Islam yang inklusif, responsif, dan berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the adaptation of curriculum and technology at Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Azhar Muncar Banyuwangi in responding to modernization. As an Islamic educational institution that seeks to maintain traditional values while being relevant to the times, this boarding school makes various adjustments in its curriculum to integrate general and religious knowledge comprehensively. In addition, the utilization of information and communication technology is also a focus in the learning process, administration, and resource development. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore the adaptation strategies applied, the driving and inhibiting factors, and the impact on the quality of education and graduates. The results of the study are expected to provide insight into an effective adaptation model for modern Islamic boarding schools in facing the challenges of modernization without losing their identity and distinctiveness.

Abstract

Refers to students' lack of understanding of good communication ethics due to various factors. This research aims to design and develop flashcard learning media to increase awareness of communication ethics in class VI students at SDI Assalam, as well as determine the suitability of the flashcard products that have been produced so that they are suitable for use in learning Communication Ethics. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The development process includes needs analysis, design, development, implementation and media evaluation. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires, expert validation, and documentation. Expert validation was carried out by 3 media experts and 1 material expert. The media developed was tested by 11 students. Sampling was carried out using the Non-Probability Sampling technique.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of critical reasoning skills in the Islamic Religious Education and Ethics class IX textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture based on the Independent Learning Curriculum. A descriptive qualitative approach is used to evaluate the content of textbooks through critical thinking indicators developed by Robert Ennis, including basic clarification, basic support, inference, advanced clarification, and strategies and tactics. The results of the study show that the textbook as a whole has integrated various activities that support the development of students' critical thinking skills, such as analyzing arguments, assessing the credibility of sources, drawing conclusions, defining terms, and designing problem-solving strategies. This research provides recommendations for teachers to choose appropriate teaching materials and design learning that is able to encourage the development of students' critical thinking skills optimally.
