Abstract

Perubahan gaya hidup di masyarakat, seperti kebiasaan merokok, konsumsi junk food, dan kafein, meningkatkan risiko penyakit Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). GERD adalah kondisi refluks asam lambung ke esofagus yang menimbulkan gejala seperti heartburn, regurgitasi, dan mual. Edukasi tentang pencegahan GERD sangat penting, terutama di kalangan remaja yang mulai menunjukkan pola makan tidak sehat. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa-siswi SMP Negeri 19 Medan tentang pencegahan GERD. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dengan ceramah menggunakan media presentasi PowerPoint, leaflet, dan video ilustrasi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan observasi awal dan persiapan yang melibatkan pihak sekolah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa-siswi sangat antusias selama kegiatan berlangsung. Mereka mampu memahami materi tentang penyebab, gejala, dan cara pencegahan GERD. Diskusi dan sesi tanya jawab menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang disampaikan. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan edukasi ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang GERD, sehingga mereka dapat mengelola kondisi ini dengan lebih baik dan mengadopsi pola hidup yang lebih sehat

Abstract

Language is a very important communication tool to be able to interact with each other. The language used in all activities, study, work, including the marketing of a product. Companies must have the capacity to create or control audiences (readers, or listeners) to buy the goods they offer. To tell more about a product, service or idea, companies use English in their promotion in the way of advertising. In fact, many companies often make mistakes in using grammar in writing advertising slogans to market their products. This study aims to identify the types of grammatical errors and focus on the types of errors used in advertising slogans by companies. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The method of writing advertising slogans uses a description of words or sentences that do not have a percentage or value in the form of numbers, where the researcher analyzes according to the type of data error category. From the results of the study, researchers found fifteen (15) advertising slogans were collected from companies via the internet.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana efektivitas kerjasama orangtua dan guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di sekolah menengah pertama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode kepustakaan. Metode kepustakaan   merupakan metode pengumpulan data dengan mengumpulkan buku-buku perpustakaan dan bahan-bahan tertulis serta referensi-referensi yang relevan dengan penelitian yang sedang dilakukan. Adapun sumber kepustakaannya yaitu diperoleh dari beberapa sumber baik dari buku, jurnal, artikel serta pustaka yang berkaitan dengan judul penelitian ini.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) Kerjasama antara orang tua dan guru sangat berperan penting  dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik. 2) Wujud  partisipasi  orang tua dan guru untuk mengatasi keterlambatan  kemampuan calistung dengan  memberikan  perhatian lebih di rumah, menyediakan sarana  dan prasarana belajar serta 3) Mengadakan kerja sama antara kedua belah pihak dimana membangun komunikasi keduanya dalam memantau perkembangan belajar peserta didik. Artinya, orang tua tidak sepenuhnya memberikan tanggung jawab pencapaian prestasi belajar yang baik hanya kepada guru, namun lebih dari itu, orang tua dapat melanjutkan apa yang telah dipelajari siswa di sekolah untuk diulang kembali di rumah. Dengan penyatuan kerjasama antara orangtua dan guru untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh perkembangan belajar peserta didik. Adapun bentuk kerja sama yang sudah dilakukan yaitu dengan membangun komunikasi formal maupun nonformal seperti dengan pemanggilan rapat mengenai pembangunan program-program sekolah, informasi yang disampaikan melalui surat, pemanggilan orang tua apabila anaknya bermasalah baik dalam sikap yang kurang disiplin maupun nilai atau prestasi anak yang mengalami kemerosotan  dan sebagainya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of micro-teaching on improving teaching skills of German Language Education Study Program students at Medan State University. The problem identified is the need to improve students teaching skills before plunging into the real world of education. This research used descriptive qualitative method with research subjects of 20-25 students who had taken the micro-teaching course. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis used thematic analysis which included data reduction, data grouping, and data interpretation with data triangulation for validity. The results showed that micro-teaching contributed positively to the development of basic teaching skills, especially in the ability to speak and interact with students (69.9%), the use of teaching methods (46.4%), and classroom management (28.6%). However, mastery of the material (25%) still needs to be improved. This study concludes that micro-teaching is effective in improving students' teaching skills, but there needs to be optimization in the aspects of mastery of material and classroom management.
