Abstract

Abstract: The use of X-ray radiation is currently widely used in the medical world as a diagnostic tool or therapy for diseases. X-ray radiation in the field of health, especially medicine, is used as radiography which plays a role in diagnosing a disease by depicting the anatomical structure of the human body. Pregnant women are women who have a fetus developing in their womb. Pregnant women are advised to pay attention to adequate nutritional intake. Conduct regular pregnancy check-ups, avoid smoking and alcoholic beverages and maintain personal and environmental hygiene. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge about radiation to pregnant women and the community in general. The method used is counseling and providing understanding to pregnant women so that they understand more deeply about the dangers of radiation. The benchmark for this understanding is carried out by using the distribution of pre-post test questionnaires to conduct counseling.

are in a period of growth and development. The problem of occupational safety and health in schools that continues to occur is the lack of guidance regarding steps that must be taken in the school environment to prevent work accidents and work-related diseases and increase the sharpness of elementary school students in recognizing dangers that may occur. Just as accidents and illnesses caused by certain activities can be reduced or prevented as soon as possible, disasters that occur in environments such as homes, schools and roads can be prevented as soon as possible. Potential danger of accidents at home, school and on the road. The objectives of holding related to K3 are 1) getting used to behaving commendably and acting in accordance with what is right, with correct environmental management 2) increasing the ability to avoid characteristics that can endanger the environment 3) Developing sensitivity of students and the community towards environmental conditions so that Things that can harm the environment can be avoided. 4) Instill a spirit of compassion and responsibility for environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This research aims to introduce the dangers of radiation in everyday life to SMA 2 Siak students as an effort to increase awareness and understanding of the impacts of radiation exposure. Radiation, both ionizing and non-ionizing, can be found in various aspects of life, from nature to modern technological devices. Although most radiation is low risk, excessive exposure can harm health, including increasing the risk of cell disorders and cancer. Through literature study and outreach methods, this research succeeded in mapping radiation sources, explaining possible health impacts, and providing education regarding mitigation steps that students can take. The results show the need for continued education and the development of appropriate safety guidelines so that students can be wiser in interacting with radiation sources in their surrounding environment

Abstract

The radiation safety management system at the Radiology Installation of Petala Bumi Regional General Hospital is designed to protect patients, medical personnel, and the public from the risk of excessive radiation exposure. This system begins with the preparation of a radiation safety policy that serves as a guideline for every radiology procedure. In addition, risk identification and assessment are carried out at every stage of the radiology procedure to ensure that appropriate preventive measures can be implemented. The ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle is also applied to minimize the radiation dose received by patients and medical personnel, with the aim of keeping radiation exposure at the lowest possible level. In addition, medical personnel and hospital staff are given regular training on radiation safety procedures and the use of appropriate protective equipment to reduce risk. The radiology equipment used in this installation is also maintained and calibrated periodically to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly and does not provide excessive radiation doses. Monitoring of the radiation dose received by patients and medical personnel is also carried out regularly to ensure that all procedures remain in accordance with established safety standards. Overall, this radiation safety management system aims to maintain the safety and quality of radiology services, as well as ensure that the use of radiation is carried out safely and efficiently. This system is also evaluated and improved on an ongoing basis to ensure its effectiveness in reducing risks and improving safety standards in the hospital.

Abstract

The waiting time for radiology services is the grace period from the patient in the photo to receiving the results that have been experienced by the radiologist. One that affects the waiting time for radiology services is the use of PACS in radiology. PACS is a system that functions to receive, store, display and distribute radiological medical images. Since 2022, the Radiology service at one of Hospital in Pekanbaru has carried out a digital system, namely the use of PACS on all computers. The use of PACS at one of Hospital in Pekanbaru does not always run efficiently, not infrequently there are several examinations that get the results of doctor expertise/doctor's reading results that are long enough, even exceeding the minimum service standards. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) on the waiting time for Radiology services. This research is a type of descriptive quantitative research through document studies. This research was conducted at the Radiology Installation one of Hospital in Pekanbaru by taking samples of 300 data for 2021 and 300 data for 2023. From the results of this study, it was found that there was an influence of the use of PACS on Radiology service time seen from the tcount of 4.688 which was greater than the ttable of 1.6474 with a large influence of 4%.

Abstract

Kelompok usaha patin salai merupakan usaha pembuatan ikan salai di kampung patin Desa Koto Masjid yang dibina oleh Unit Pelaksana Tugas (UPT) Usaha dan Produksi Perikanan Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Kampar. Dalam pembuatannya, ikan patin harus melalui 3 tahapan yaitu, pencucian, penjemuran dan pengasapan. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan, para pekerja pada usaha ini masih memiliki kesadaran yang kurang dalam keselamatan dan kesehatan kerjanya. Selain itu juga adanya keterbatasan Alat Pelindung Diri dan tidak adanya APAR yang membuat kurangnya kesadaran dalam peningkatan keselamatan dan Kesehatan kerja. Pekerja dilokasi penyalaian ikan patin tidak pernah menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri dalam bekerja. Selain itu, pekerja yang melakukan pengecekan pada ikan yang diasapi juga tidak menggunakan baju khusus untuk mencegah api menyambar pakaian mereka. Hal ini membuat pentingnya diadakan sosialisasi Upaya peningkatan keselamatan dan Kesehatan kerja di kampung patin tersebut. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu dengan melakukan soisalisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi serta melihat keberlanjutan program. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu rata-rata pemahaman pekerja tentang pentingnya keselamatan dan Kesehatan kerja meningkat. Pada kegiatan ini juga diberikan beberapa Alat Pelindung Diri yang bisa digunakan oleh pekerja usaha salai patin, serta diberikannya APAR untuk mencegah apabila terjadinya kebakaran
