Abstract

This research discusses the internalization of religious values at MAN 1 Klaten through various religious activities aimed at instilling the values of faith, morality, and exemplary behavior in students. This internalization is carried out through daily activities such as prayer recitations, murojaah (qur'an memorization review), tadarus (qur'an recitation), congregational dhuha prayers, and the habit of greeting and handshaking. The study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore the meaning of the experiences of the informants related to the process of internalizing religious values. The results indicate that the role of teachers, the school environment, and habitual methods are the main factors in instilling religious values in students. Supporting factors come from teachers and parents, while the inhibiting factor is the lack of seriousness from students in carrying out religious activities. The internalization of these values aims to shape students' character to be virtuous and possess a religious ethos in their daily lives.

Abstract

Education in the modern era serves not only as a means of transferring knowledge but also as a primary tool in building individual character and advancing society. Ibn Khaldun's thinking emphasizes that education is strongly influenced by the family, school, and community environments, which shape children's mindsets, behaviors, and moral values. A religious and communicative family environment, a school that encourages intellectual development, and a society that upholds the values ??of justice, equality, and cooperation are important factors in creating a holistic education. This article examines Ibn Khaldun's educational thinking, which emphasizes the balance between naqli (the natural) and aqli (the rational) knowledge, as well as the importance of instilling adab (good manners) in the educational process. This research demonstrates that good education must pay attention to the interaction between individuals and their social environment and focus on building strong character. In the context of globalization and technological advancement, the influence of social media and the social environment is a determining factor in children's character development. The conclusion of this study is that children's education must involve synergy between families, schools, and communities to shape a generation that is intellectually intelligent, has noble character, and cares about social life. ABSTRAK Pendidikan di era modern tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana transfer ilmu pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai alat utama dalam membangun karakter individu dan kemajuan masyarakat. Pemikiran Ibnu Khaldun menekankan bahwa pendidikan sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat, yang membentuk pola pikir, perilaku, serta nilai-nilai moral anak. Lingkungan keluarga yang religius dan komunikatif, sekolah yang mendorong perkembangan intelektual, serta masyarakat yang menjunjung tinggi nilai keadilan, kesetaraan, dan kerja sama, merupakan faktor penting dalam menciptakan pendidikan yang holistik. Artikel ini mengkaji pemikiran pendidikan Ibnu Khaldun, yang menekankan keseimbangan antara ilmu naqli dan aqli, serta pentingnya penanaman adab dalam proses pendidikan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan yang baik harus memperhatikan interaksi antara individu dan lingkungan sosialnya, serta berfokus pada pembentukan karakter yang kuat. Dalam konteks globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi, pengaruh media sosial dan lingkungan sosial menjadi faktor penentu dalam perkembangan karakter anak. Kesimpulan dari studi ini adalah bahwa pendidikan anak harus melibatkan sinergi antara keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat untuk membentuk generasi yang cerdas secara intelektual, berakhlak mulia, dan peduli terhadap kehidupan sosial.

Abstract

Panti Asuhan Yatim Muhammadiyah di Sukoharjo adalah lembaga sosial yang memberikan perlindungan dan pendidikan bagi anak-anak yatim piatu. Artikel ini mengulas kegiatan rutin di panti yang berfokus pada pengembangan spiritual, pendidikan, dan keterampilan sosial anak-anak. Kegiatan di panti dimulai dengan hafalan Al-Qur'an, diikuti oleh kegiatan sekolah di siang hari, dan dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan keagamaan dan pendidikan pada sore dan malam hari. Panti ini  juga mengadakan kegiatan Tapak Suci dan muhadarah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan fisik dan kepercayaan diri anak-anak. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif, dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Berbagai kendala yang teridentifikasi kemudian dianalisis guna menemukan akar permasalahan serta merumuskan upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan social dengan kegiatan Muhadharoh (Pidato). Tujuan utama dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial anak-anak di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo melalui penerapan kegiatan Muhadharoh.  Kegiatan PKM merupakan kegiatan berupa pendampingan dan pelaksanaan muhadharah (pidato) yang disusun secara sistematis dan terstruktur untuk melatih keberanian dan kemampuan anak dalam berkomunikasi dengan baik. Pelaksanaan muhadharah secara bergiliran membuat anak-anak lebih berani tampil dan mampu menyampaikan pendapat di depan teman temannya serta para pengasih di panti.

Abstract

The 21st century's digital disruption, intensified mobility, and the resurgence of identity-based polarization have reconfigured the aims of education beyond cognitive achievement toward ethical agency, intercultural competence, and socially responsible citizenship. This article examines how Indonesian pesantren-Islamic boarding schools with a long tradition of moral formation-cultivate multicultural character and what lessons their value-based ecology offers for global educational development. Using library research, the study conducts a philosophical and conceptual content analysis of peer-reviewed scholarship, pesantren-related policy and curricular documents, and global education frameworks, especially Global Citizenship Education and Education for Sustainable Development. The synthesis indicates that pesantren operationalize multicultural character through (1) ethical-theological foundations such as rahmatan lil 'alamin and ukhuwah insaniyah, (2) communal pedagogies emphasizing exemplary leadership (uswah), habituation, and community learning, and (3) adaptive innovations that integrate digital literacy with moral restraint. These practices foster moderation, empathy, inclusivity, and civic responsibility-capabilities aligned with 21st-century learning agendas. The article proposes a Pesantren-Based Multicultural Character Education Model (PBMCEM) as a transferable conceptual framework. Implications are discussed for curriculum design, teacher formation, and policy, highlighting how localized religious-moral traditions can inform internationally relevant strategies for multicultural character education.

Abstract

The phenomenon of low literacy quality in Indonesia is a very urgent problem to be overcome, considering that literacy is a basic skill that is very important for every individual, especially students. Literacy not only includes the ability to read and write, but also includes the skills of critical thinking, analyzing, and understanding information. With low literacy skills among students, this hinders their ability to access the more complex knowledge needed in later education. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that affect the low quality of literacy in Indonesia and explore the development of innovative literacy teaching models that can be implemented in primary schools. In addition, this study also aims to provide recommendations for the development of education policies related to literacy. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data was collected from relevant scientific literature, including journal articles, reference books, and conference articles. The main focus of this study is the text-based and technology-based literacy teaching model, as well as its relationship with students' critical thinking skills. The analysis technique used is thematic analysis to identify patterns and trends related to the research topic. Based on the research that was found, the low quality of literacy in Indonesia is caused by several factors, including lack of access to quality teaching materials, limited resources, and lack of teachers' skills in using technology in teaching literacy. The use of digital technologies such as e-books and gamification-based learning platforms can increase students' reading interest and improve their literacy skills. Literacy teaching models that integrate project-based and text-based approaches have proven effective in improving students' understanding and skills in literacy. This study concludes that to improve the quality of literacy in Indonesia, there needs to be reforms in teacher training, with a focus on integrating technology in literacy teaching. Teaching models that combine technology and text-based methods can be an effective solution to address literacy challenges in Indonesia. This research contributes to the development of literacy-based education policies that are more relevant and applicable at the elementary school level.

Abstract

PAI learning in schools still tends to be uniform and teacher-centered, so it is not fully able to accommodate individual differences of students. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, differentiated learning is a relevant approach because it is in line with the spirit of "independent learning" and Islamic values such as justice ('adl), compassion (rahmah), and responsibility (amanah). The purpose of this study is to examine the concepts, principles, and implementation of differentiated learning in PAI based on theoretical reviews and scientific literature, as well as analyze the relevance of this approach to the development of students' Islamic character and values. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach . Data was obtained from various written sources such as books, scientific articles, academic journals, and the results of previous research that discussed the concept of differentiation in the context of Islamic education. The results of the study show that differentiated learning in PAI can be applied through three main strategies, namely content, process, and product differentiation. This strategy allows teachers to adjust the material, methods, and forms of evaluation according to students' abilities and interests. Islamic principles such as justice, compassion, and responsibility become the theological foundation in its implementation, so that learning not only improves academic results, but also shapes the spiritual and moral character of students. The main obstacles to the implementation of this approach include the limitations of teacher competence, infrastructure, and the learning paradigm that is still teacher-centered. Therefore, continuous training, collaboration between educators, and learning innovations are needed to support optimal implementation. differentiated learning in Islamic Religious Education makes a significant contribution to the creation of an adaptive, humanist, and learning process based on Islamic values. This approach not only increases the effectiveness of learning, but also strengthens the purpose of Islamic education in forming a generation of faithful, knowledgeable, and noble character.
