Abstract

The growth of Chili pepper (Capsicum chinense Jacquin.) is affected by biotic and abiotic stresses. Abiotic stress such as waterlogging increases the expression of ACS (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid synthase) enzyme. This enzyme plays a great role in the process of ethylene biosynthesis and encoded by multiple genes. Waterlogging causes hypoxia condition. One of ACS enzymes that responds to hypoxia condition is ACS2. The different respond to hypoxia stress among plant was assumed to be caused by a different structure of the ACS2 enzyme. This study aimed to identify and confirm the active site of Capsicum chinense Jacquin ACS2  using modeling and in silico docking. The result of the three-dimensional (3D) structure modeling showed 91% similarity of Capsicum chinense Jacquin ACS2 with the structure of the tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.). The Capsicum chinense ACS2 confirmed five active sites that bind to the substrates asparagin396B, valine397B, thyrosine152B, threonine128B, and thyrosine92A.

Abstract

Constitution number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (hereinafter abbreviated as "ITE") in this dynamic era. This is considered important because of this sophisticated era, especially among young people (especially students) who are inseparable from technology, especially social media, which can have positive and negative impacts, so it is necessary to inform them that there are legal provisions (both civil and criminal) that can threaten them if they are not careful in using social media to convey expressions or opinions. The problems discussed are regarding students' and teachers' understanding of ITE regulations and the application of sanctions if they violate or commit ITE crimes. So that with this socialization, it is hoped that it can be a learning experience for Malang city residents to be wiser in using social media. This activity was carried out offline and was carried out for two days. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the awareness of Malang city residents regarding their knowledge of ITE regulations is still low, so this activity is considered as a new provision so that they can be more careful in accessing social media.

Abstract

This research discusses the development of teaching materials needed in the world of education. This research uses a skinative research method with secondary data methods, namely through literature studies. Teaching materials are one of the most important components in the learning process, and can help students learn more easily. Instruction consists of two categories: printed instructions and non-printed instructions. One type of printed teaching material is textbooks. Teaching materials can be defined as any type of material used to help teachers or instructors carry out teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Print teaching materials through the media of books, handouts, maps, magazines, etc. Non-print teaching materials audio programs, display teaching materials, overhead transparencies (OHT) models, videos and computer-assisted teaching materials. Knowledge of teaching materials is needed so that students can apply it in the form of product development or research related to teaching materials. In learning biology, delivery requires teaching material media as a lat in channeling knowledge.

Abstract

Histology is a field of biology focused on examining tissue structure in detail using a microscope to analyse thinly sliced tissue samples. These sections reveal a variety of shapes, sizes, and layers, including cellular, fibrous, and tubular structures. Histology plays a crucial role in studying the normal tissue architecture of organs, addressing both anatomical and physiological aspects. This type of research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing secondary data primarily derived from literature such as journals and supporting articles. The literature review serves as an essential tool alongside contextual assessment, offering valuable insights and enhancing the understanding of the subject matter. Histological preparation involves the application of haematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, which includes several key steps: tissue fixation, tissue selection (trimming), dehydration, clearing and tissue impregnation, tissue block creation, tissue sectioning, staining, and tissue examination.

Abstract

The incorporation of natural bioactive compounds into dairy products has gained increasing attention due to their potential to enhance nutritional value and functional properties. Moringa oleifera, commonly known as the drumstick tree, is a nutrient-dense plant rich in polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamins, and minerals, making it a promising candidate for yoghurt fortification. This review evaluates the impact of Moringa oleifera leaf extract on the physicochemical, microbiological, antioxidant, and sensory attributes of yoghurt. Data from recent studies (2014 - 2024) indicate that the addition of Moringa oleifera extract at concentrations up to 0.5% significantly improves total phenolic content, antioxidant activity (DPPH and ABTS assays), water holding capacity (WHC), and viscosity, while maintaining acceptable pH levels and supporting probiotic viability. However, higher concentrations may lead to undesirable sensory characteristics such as astringency and greenish coloration, which can affect consumer acceptance. Optimization of extraction methods, fortification levels, and formulation strategies such as encapsulation or blending with other natural ingredients is recommended to balance functionality and sensory appeal. Overall, yoghurt fortified with Moringa oleifera extract demonstrates potential as a functional food with enhanced antioxidant properties and improved nutritional profile. Further research is needed to assess long-term stability and in vivo health benefits.
