Abstract

The era of education that increasingly demands an increase in the quality of human resources (HR) has positioned teachers as an important component in the learning process. The application of learning methods that are relevant to the demands of the times is needed to encourage the development of students' increasingly complex problem-solving skills. Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers are expected to be able to present a learning environment that is conducive to the development of students' abilities through a contextual and project-based approach. Project Based Learning (PjBL) is one of the learning models that aims to provide real project-based learning experiences to students. This model is based on the principles of Vygotsky's constructivism, which emphasizes the importance of social interaction and collaboration in learning. In the context of PAK learning, project based learning helps students develop critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills, as well as problem-solving abilities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the impact of implementing the project based learning model on improving the problem-solving abilities of grade XI students at SMA Negeri I Kauditan. Data collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving students and Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers show that project based learning has proven effective in developing students' critical and analytical thinking skills. Students feel more confident in facing challenges, more collaborative in working in groups, and more disciplined in completing tasks. Teacher evaluations also confirm that the process of working on a project is as important as the end result, because it can describe the development of students' problem-solving skills as a whole.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Kristen dewasa memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk spiritualitas dan pemahaman iman mendalam, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan kehidupan modern. Pendidikan agama Kristen bagi orang dewasa menghadapi tantangan akibat perubahan sosial-budaya, seperti sekularisme, individualisme, keterbatasan waktu, rendahnya motivasi belajar, serta pluralisme dan relativisme nilai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan, strategi, dan dampak pendidikan agama Kristen dewasa dalam konteks sosial-budaya modern, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan pendidikan agama Kristen yang lebih relevan dan kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan. Data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka yang mencakup seperti buku, jurnal, artikel, dan dokumen terkait yang membahas topik ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan agama Kristen dewasa menghadapi tantangan besar, seperti dampak globalisasi, sekularisasi, dan perkembangan teknologi, yang mempengaruhi cara berpikir dan keterlibatan orang dewasa dalam kegiatan keagamaan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih sesuai, seperti pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, pendekatan kontekstual, dan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, penting untuk mengintegrasikan ajaran agama Kristen dengan kehidupan sehari-hari guna memperdalam pemahaman iman peserta didik dewasa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah gereja dan lembaga pendidikan perlu mengembangkan kurikulum serta metode pengajaran yang dapat mengatasi tantangan tersebut, sekaligus mendorong terbentuknya komunitas Kristen dewasa yang memiliki nilai-nilai iman yang kokoh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran remaja dalam pertumbuhan gereja di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi. Meskipun remaja saat ini memiliki akses terhadap informasi yang luas dan potensi untuk berkontribusi secara signifikan, namun gaya hidup modern yang serba instan dan hedonis menjadi tantangan besar bagi mereka untuk terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan gereja. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kehadiran remaja di gereja semakin menurun, dan hal ini berdampak pada dinamika kehidupan jemaat. Namun, dengan pendekatan yang tepat, remaja dapat menjadi agen perubahan yang positif dalam gereja. Penelitian ini menyarankan beberapa strategi untuk melibatkan remaja secara aktif dalam pelayanan, seperti menciptakan program yang relevan dengan minat mereka, memanfaatkan teknologi dalam kegiatan keagamaan, serta memberikan ruang bagi mereka untuk berkontribusi dalam pengambilan keputusan di gereja.
