Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) faces challenges in aligning learning materials with technological developments and global issues. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the use of learning videos in improving students' understanding of global issues. The research method used was a quantitative survey with a questionnaire involving 33 students in grades IX H and IX J. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale as well as interviews with teachers to gain in-depth insights about the implementation of learning videos. Data analysis was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner with percentages, as well as qualitative analysis to understand teachers' perceptions of the obstacles and benefits of using technology. The results showed that 96.9% of students found PAI interesting, 75.7% felt that the material was relevant to daily life, but only 36.4% of students stated that teachers often use learning videos. As many as 75.8% of students stated that globalization has an effect on their religious understanding, while 72.7% consider social media to help their understanding of Islam. However, 63.7% of students feel that outside culture can weaken their beliefs. In conclusion, the integration of learning videos in PAI improves student understanding, but its use is still limited. A more systematic strategy is needed, including the selection of relevant content, teacher mentoring, and interactive discussions so that learning is more effective and contextual in the digital era.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools as traditional Islamic educational institutions have a strategic role in shaping the character of the young generation through the instillation of religious values, with the kiai as a central figure who plays a role as an educator and charismatic spiritual leader who influences the lives of students and the surrounding community. However, during the development of the era and the influence of modernization, the role of charismatic kiai faces new challenges that require adjustments in relevant leadership methods. This study aims to understand the characteristics of charismatic kiai leadership in Islamic boarding schools, identify factors that support the development of this leadership, and explore the strategies implemented by kiai in facing the challenges of modernizing Islamic boarding schools. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study method at the Al-Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School, West Bandung Regency. Data were collected through direct observation, documentation studies, and in-depth interviews with kiai, staff, and students. The results of the study show that the characteristics of charismatic kiai leadership include exemplary behavior, simplicity, devotion to worship, humility, caring, wisdom, and persuasion. Factors that support the development of this leadership include collaboration and active involvement, open communication, development of professionalism, and adaptation to technology. The implementation of these findings includes strategies implemented by the kiai, namely the involvement of all parties in decision-making, integration of traditional values with modernity, encouraging innovation and critical thinking, strengthening networks and cooperation, and emphasizing morals and character. In conclusion, charismatic kiai leadership plays a crucial role in leading Islamic boarding schools to remain relevant and advanced in the modern era without abandoning the identity and fundamental values of the Islamic boarding school. This study fills the gap in previous literature that has not studied much about the development of charismatic kiai leadership in the

Abstract

This study explores the potential of quantum philosophy as a conceptual bridge between Islamic spirituality and modern scientific understanding, with implications for developing monotheism-based Islamic education. While quantum physics emphasizes empirical measurement and mathematical precision, quantum philosophy engages with the interpretative and metaphysical meanings of quantum phenomena. Key principles such as quantum entanglement, the uncertainty principle, and superposition are examined for their philosophical alignment with core Islamic concepts including tawhid (divine unity), tawakkal (trust in God), and multidimensional spiritual existence. Employing a qualitative, literature-based methodology, this research synthesizes perspectives from quantum theory, Islamic theology, and educational philosophy to construct an integrative framework. Sources were selected for their relevance to both quantum theory and Islamic educational discourse. The findings reveal meaningful analogies: quantum entanglement reflects the interconnectedness of all creation under divine will; the uncertainty principle parallels the Islamic notion of human limitation and trust in God; and superposition aligns with the layered nature of human existence—spiritual, moral, and material. The discussion highlights how these analogies can be incorporated into curriculum design, teaching strategies, and assessment tools within Islamic educational settings. The integration fosters a holistic learning paradigm that harmonizes scientific reasoning with faith-based values, encouraging critical thinking, ethical development, and spiritual consciousness. In conclusion, this study presents a theoretical model that supports the integration of quantum concepts into Islamic pedagogy, offering a foundation for future empirical research and curriculum innovation that reflects the unity of knowledge in Islamic epistemology.
