Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen non-tes berbasis metode 5S untuk meningkatkan penilaian diagnostik siswa SMK. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen quasi digunakan untuk mengukur pengaruh penerapan metode 5S terhadap kompetensi kerja siswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas XI Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di SMKS Pembda Nias sebagai subjek. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan portofolio, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode 5S secara signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas penilaian non-tes. Skor rata-rata kinerja siswa meningkat dari 70,2 menjadi 85,4 setelah penerapan metode ini. Selain itu, peningkatan terlihat pada aspek kedisiplinan (+20,6%), pengorganisasian alat (+22,2%), dan keterampilan teknis (+22,9%). Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi metode 5S dalam pendidikan kejuruan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan siswa menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja.

Abstract

The application of School-Based Management (SBM) has emerged as a strategic method to enhance education quality, particularly in vocational high schools. This study investigates the influence of SBM implementation on the educational standards at SMK Swasta Pembda Nias. A quantitative approach combined with descriptive analysis was utilized to gather data through interviews, observations, and questionnaires involving principals, teachers, and administrative staff. The findings demonstrate that effective SBM practices significantly improve education quality by ensuring structured curriculum management, optimal human resource utilization, and active involvement from the community and stakeholders. Key factors contributing to success include strong school leadership, community collaboration, and adequate resource allocation. These results underscore the relevance of SBM as a vital strategy for advancing educational quality in vocational schools, particularly in regions with distinctive challenges like Nias.

Abstract

By utilizing IoT-based digital media such as iLPA, students are expected to be able to apply theory in real-world contexts that mimic real-world workplace conditions. This study aims: Develop IoT Light Planning Assistant (iLPA) learning media in the form of a relevant and contextual Smart Electrical System simulation. Type of research: This study uses a Research and Development (RnD) method with the aim of developing Internet of Things (IoT)-based learning media in the form of a Smart Electrical System simulation integrated into the Building Utility Construction Drawing course. The results showed that the validity aspect of the learning media achieved an average Aiken V-score of 0.88, indicating a valid category based on the assessment. All assessment aspects received Aiken V-scores above 0.75, with the ease of navigation of the IoT system and the quality of the comparison graphs with SNI 6197:2020 receiving the highest scores of 0.93. The practicality of the learning media demonstrated very satisfactory results, with an average score of 4.5 out of 5 (90%) based on responses from DPIB vocational teachers and an average score of 4.2 out of 5 (84%) based on student responses. The integration aspect with the DPIB curriculum received the highest rating from teachers (4.7/5), while the usefulness of the SNI 6197:2020 comparison feature received the highest rating from students (4.4/5).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi budaya kerja 5S dalam pengembangan kurikulum di SMK Swasta Pembda Nias. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini, melibatkan 50 wawancara mendalam dengan peserta didik, guru, dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi prinsip Seiri (Sortir) membantu menciptakan ruang kerja yang lebih teratur dan efisien. Seiton (Set in Order) meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dengan menata alat dan bahan agar mudah diakses. Seiso (Shine) berhasil menanamkan kebiasaan menjaga kebersihan di kalangan siswa. Seiketsu (Standardize) membantu menjaga keteraturan dan kualitas hasil kerja melalui prosedur standar operasional. Shitsuke (Sustain) memastikan keberlanjutan praktik 5S melalui evaluasi rutin dan pelatihan berkala. Integrasi budaya kerja 5S ini terbukti meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan kesiapan kerja siswa, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih kondusif, terstruktur, dan efisien.
