Abstract

upacara adat atau keagamaan dalam suku Karo menggunakan music tradisional Karo yaitu ensambel Gendang Lima Sedalenen dan Gendang Telu Sedalenen sebagai unsur pendukung pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dampak dari memudarnya penggunaan alat music Karo dan menyajikan upaya pelestarian budaya alat musik suku Karo yang hampir memudar karena penggunaannya digantikan menjadi music dari keyboard. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara dengan mengumpulkan Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan wawancara semi-terstruktur sebagai teknik pengumpulan data utama. Metode ini dipilih karena mampu menggali pandangan dan pengalaman partisipan secara mendalam terkait topik yang diteliti Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui upaya kolaboratif, seperti pendidikan budaya, pengenalan kepada generasi muda, serta pemanfaatan teknologi, musik tradisional Karo tetap berpotensi bertahan dan berkembang.

Abstract

Community empowerment has long been a primary focus in the tourism industry. Empowering local communities in the development of tourist villages should contribute to the overall well-being of the community. Denai Lama Village is a potential tourist village suitable for development and can serve as a platform for local community empowerment, enhancing positive aspects and providing benefits to the community. This study aims to analyze the empowerment of the Denai Lama Village community through the Kampoeng Lama tourist village. The research employs a descriptive methodology with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include field observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The findings of this study lead to the conclusion that the development of the Kampoeng Lama tourist village in Denai Lama Village has become a platform for community empowerment, providing positive benefits in social, cultural, and economic aspects. The community also utilizes local wisdom as the main attraction in the Kampoeng Lama tourist village. Community empowerment is carried out by focusing on capacity building, the role and initiative of the community as subjects or actors, enhancing the position and quality of community involvement/participation in tourism development, and increasing the positive benefits of tourism development for social, economic, and cultural welfare. This tourist village has fulfilled the 4A components (attraction, accessibility, amenity, ancillary) as requirements for tourism development.

Abstract

This counseling paradigm, implemented within the Abdurrab University Community Service Program (KKN) in 17 secondary schools across Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, espouses a holistic approach to adolescent development, encompassing the physical, cognitive, social, and environmental dimensions of well-being. The program's core focus, encompassing reproductive health, traditional family medicine utilization (TOGA), personal image enhancement, bullying prevention, and promotion of a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS), addresses key challenges faced by adolescents arising from health and self-development knowledge gaps. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the counseling interventions, delivered through participatory and direct consultations, upon student understanding and behavior. The results showed that significant increase in student awareness and knowledge regarding the targeted topics, concurrent with a notable shift towards positive behavioral changes.
