Abstract

Beberapa wilayah di Kota Serang diduga mengalami genangan air akibat hujan deras yang turun seharian. Kota Serang khususnya Kelurahan Kalodran Kecamatan Walantaka yang berada di wilayah Banten hampir setiap hari dilanda banjir, hal ini terjadi karena wilayahnya sangat rendah dan terdapat rawa-rawa yang dipenuhi sampah serta saluran air di sekitarnya. Selain itu wilayah ini juga merupakan wilayah yang selalu rawan banjir. Ketidakberdayaan remaja terhadap bencana terjadi karena keterbatasan pemahaman mereka terhadap bahaya yang ada di sekitarnya yang mengakibatkan mereka perlu bersiap menghadapi bencana. Hal ini menunjukkan perlunya informasi tentang bencana dan pengurangan risiko bencana sejak dini kepada remaja agar dapat memberikan pemahaman dan arahan tentang langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan ketika terjadi bencana di sekitarnya. Berdasarkan penelusuran situasi dan permasalahan yang ada di lingkungan sekitar, maka sangat penting bagi masyarakat untuk melakukan kesiapsiagaan terhadap bencana, melakukan prediksi bencana dan melakukan adaptasi terhadap bencana yang dikenal dengan upaya moderasi bencana. Kegiatan sosialisasi tanggap bencana yang dicanangkan dapat menjadi salah satu bentuk kegiatan sosialisasi tanggap bencana bagi siswa SMAN 8 Kota Serang untuk meninjau kembali kesiapsiagaan bencana di wilayah binaannya di Kecamatan Walantaka. Perluasan informasi kesiapsiagaan bencana dapat dilakukan melalui sosialisasi dengan penekanan pada pembelajaran. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah informasi yang dimiliki oleh para anggota (siswa SMAN 8 Kota Serang) yang mengikuti sosialisasi memiliki informasi yang baik dalam hal penanggulangan bencana, khususnya bencana gelombang pasang

Abstract

The prevention of juvenile delinquency is a crucial issue in efforts to build a healthy, productive, and character-driven generation. One effective approach is optimizing extracurricular activities as a platform for youth character development. Extracurricular activities not only develop students’ talents and interests, but also shape their positive attitudes, behaviors, and values. Through these activities, adolescents can be guided to enhance social skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence, which are essential in preventing delinquent behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of extracurricular activities in preventing juvenile delinquency and developing student character in the context of achieving Golden Indonesia 2045. Employing an empirical and systematic approach, the research explores various types of extracurricular activities that contribute to reducing the potential for delinquency, while also identifying the link between character development and adolescents' readiness to face future challenges. The study also emphasizes the importance of collaboration among schools, parents, and communities in creating an environment that fosters positive character development. The findings indicate that well-structured extracurricular programs can significantly reduce juvenile delinquency rates by enhancing self-awareness, social competencies, and personal responsibility. Furthermore, programs that incorporate national and moral values help strengthen youth readiness to face the challenges of Indonesia Emas 2045. Therefore, optimizing extracurricular activities can be a strategic effort to cultivate young individuals with strong character, integrity, and a readiness to contribute to national aspirations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social and economic impacts of the policy to evict illegal stalls along the railroad tracks in the Maulana Yusuf Stadium area, Serang City, which was implemented in early 2025. This policy was adopted by PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and the Serang City Government on the grounds of regulating state assets, ensuring train safety, and urban spatial planning. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, this research collected data through in-depth interviews with displaced vendors, observations at the post-eviction site, and analysis of relevant documentation. The results of the study indicate that the eviction had a significant economic impact on the vendors, including loss of primary income sources, increased debt, and loss of business assets. From a social perspective, the impacts felt include social displacement, loss of community networks among vendors, and psychological stress due to uncertainty about the future. Although the objective of regulation was achieved with the railway embankment area becoming cleaner and more orderly, this study found that the relocation solutions or alternative empowerment programs offered by the government have not effectively addressed the needs of the vendors. This study recommends the need for more humane and participatory urban planning policies that not only focus on the physical aspects of the city but also on the sustainability of its residents' livelihoods.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the normalization of the Kepandean Market in Serang City and its impact on advancing the urban economy. The Kepandean Market, a vital economic center, has faced challenges related to infrastructure, spatial planning, and vendor management, which have hindered its potential. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews with traders and the market management, and documentation. The findings indicate that normalization efforts, including infrastructure revitalization, vendor relocation, and improved management, have significantly enhanced the market's functionality and aesthetics. These changes have led to an increase in visitor numbers, improved transaction volumes, and a more orderly trading environment. The implication of this normalization is a positive stimulus for the local economy, creating a multiplier effect that supports the vision of an advanced Serang City economy. This study concludes that a structured and well-managed market normalization is a key strategy for urban economic development.
