Abstract

Pendidikan usia dini sebagai dasar perkembangan anak maka dasar pendidikan harus sangat ditekankan pada usia-usia ini dengan penanaman nilai-nilai karakter sejak dini. Dari survei awal didapat informasi bahwa guru masih merasa kesulitan bagaimana menanamkan atau mengajarkan kedisiplinan dan juga semua karakter yang disarankan di Perpres 87 tahun 2017 pada anak-anak dalam menjalankan kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan penguatan pembelajaran karakter melalui permainan edukatif di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 16 Kota Malang. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di TK Aisyiyah Bustanol Athfal 16 Kota Malang. TK ABA 16 memiliki 2 kelas, 5 guru, dan 1 tenaga administrasi. Kelas A terdapat 33 siswa yang dibagi dalam 2 kelas, sedangkan kelas B terdapat 30 siswa yang dibagi dalam 2 kelas. Aktivitas dalam pengabdian ini meliputi: (1) Metode komunikasi dua arah, (2) Ceramah dan (3) Pelatihan. Dengan metode komunikasi dua arah akan ada komunikasi yang lancar antara pendamping dan mitra. Pendampingan Kegiatan ini juga dilakukan dengan memberikan penjelasan kepada para guru tentang Pendidikan Karakter. Dari metode dua arah, ceramah dan pelatihan, diketahui bahwa para guru merasa kesulitan untuk mendisiplinkan anak didik. Dengan pelatihan yang penguatan 10 dasar ketrampilan yang harus diajarkan pada anak, para guru  lebih bisa mengajar peserta didik melalui permainan edukatif yang sesuai. Para guru lebih bisa menyesuaikan APE (Alat Permainan Edukatif) yang sesuai untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Pendampingan kepada para guru juga dilakukan dengan mendampingi para guru memilih APE yang tepat untuk penguatan karakter untuk anak didik. Strengthening Character Learning Through Educational Games at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 16 Malang Abstract Early childhood education is a basis for the development of children, and basic education must be emphasized at these ages by teaching character values from an early age. Based on the initial survey, teachers found difficulties in teaching and implementing the characteristics mentioned in Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2017 in their daily activities. Therefore, this activity aims to provide reinforcement of character learning through educational games at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 16, Malang. This Community Service activity was carried out at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 16, Malang. There are five female teachers and 1 administrative staff in the school. Class A has 33 students divided into 2 classes, while Class B has 30 students divided into 2 classes. Activities in this community service include (1) two-way communication, (2) lectures, and (3) training. The two-way communication enabled flowing communication between the companion and partner. This activity is also carried out by providing explanations to teachers about Character Education. Two-way communication also allowed the teachers to share their problems related to their teaching activities, particularly in the implementation of Character Education. Lecturing and training activities assisted teachers to find a solution for students’ discipline, related to Character Education. Those activities equipped teachers with knowledge of 10 Basic Skills of Character Education that must be taught to children. Moreover, teachers were also provided with EGT (Educational Game Tool) to teach. The appropriate EGT allowed teachers to teach better. Assistance to teachers is also carried out by supporting teachers in choosing the right EGT for character strengthening for students.

Abstract

Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers article 10 mandates that every teacher is required to meet the academic qualifications and teacher competencies that apply nationally, so that coaching to increase teacher competency needs to always receive more attention in its development. This service aims to increase teacher professionalism through innovative, creative and effective learning. This service was carried out at SMA Aisyiyah Boarding School Malang (SMA ABSM) in October 2022. The activity was attended by 13 teachers from various subjects. The methods used are two-way communication methods, lectures and training. This activity provides an explanation to teachers about strengthening teacher competency to become quality teachers and outstanding performance. This activity trains teachers in terms of pedagogical, professional, social and personal skills, and also equips teachers on how to be interesting when teaching and liked by their students, thereby creating innovative, creative and effective learning. This community service only reaches the stage of delivering material, and not yet at the stage of evaluating and assisting teachers in daily practice. Therefore, in the future it is hoped that there will be community service activities that focus on assisting teachers' daily practices, teaching practice, and reflecting together.

Abstract

UMKM Rengginang in Kromengan village since 2002 has been selling rengginang wholesale, which is produced daily for approximately 100 to 150 kg in the form of raw onion-flavored rengginang. However, the number of orders is uncertain in one month. The rengginang UMKM group feels the condition that has lasted for almost 17 years to be very unprofitable and less able to develop because they are only waiting for customers to contact for deposits with uncertain amounts and times. Another obstacle is the drying process, which takes time and relies on the sun upon, limiting the production process. Assistance is provided by training in making rengginang by providing innovations in taste, shape, color, and packaging. This assistance also uses technology that can increase and speed up production in the form of packaging technology and solar drying. The marketing process is carried out offline and online, as well as socializing how to build networking, product promotion, financial management, and licensing in the form of proper hygiene to halal certificates. This mentoring program can improve the quality of partner resources to improve the economy of women and become a pilot project for empowering other women.ABSTRAKUMKM Rengginang desa Kromengan sejak tahun 2002 menjual rengginang secara grosir, yang diproduksi setiap hari kurang lebih 100 sampai dengan 150 kg berupa rengginang mentah rasa bawang. Namun pesanan tidak menentu jumlahnya dalam satu bulan. Kondisi yang sudah berlangsung selama hampir 17 tahun ini dirasakan oleh kelompok UMKM rengginang sangat tidak menguntungkan dan kurang bisa berkembang karena hanya menunggu pelanggan menghubungi untuk setor dengan jumlah dan waktu yang tidak pasti. Kendala lain adalah proses pengeringan yang membutuhkan waktu dan mengandalkan matahari, membuat proses produksi menjadi terbatas. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan pelatihan pembuatan rengginang dengan memberikan inovasi pada cita rasa, bentuk, warna, dan kemasan. Pendampingan ini juga menggunakan teknologi yang dapat meningkatkan dan mempercepat produksi, berupa teknologi packaging, dan pengeringan dengan tenaga surya. Untuk proses pemasaran dilakukan offline maupun online, sekaligus sosialisasi cara membangun networking, promosi produk, manajemen keuangan dan  lisensi berupa layak hygiene sampai sertifikat halal. Program pendampingan ini mampu meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya mitra sehingga mampu meningkatkan perekonomian perempuan serta menjadi pilot project untuk pemberdayaan perempuan lainnya.

Abstract

Narratology, an interdisciplinary study of narrative texts, integrates literary studies, linguistics, philosophy, and psychology. It examines narrative structures, delivery, and reader interpretation. The film "The Fallen Angel," adapted from Dazai Osamu's novel "No Longer Human," exemplifies a literary work with a psychological narrative linked to human life. This study classifies the types of Todorov's five stages used in the film and assesses the implementation of these narrative structures from Tzvetan Todorov's perspective in "The Fallen Angel" by Genjiro Arato. This qualitative research employs narrative analysis using Tzvetan Todorov's narrative structure theory. Data are categorized into primary and secondary. Information is gathered through documentation and observation, with the author serving as a human instrument. The interactive analysis model guides the process, which includes information collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research shows that the plot idea consists of five stages: Equilibrium, Disruption, Recognition, Repair the Damage, and New Equilibrium. As well as the plot in Todorov's five-stage structure is then classified into a description of the form of results percent (17%) Equilibrium; (25%) Disruption; (33%) Recognition; (17%) Repair the damage; and (8%) New Equilibrium. This study carries important implications for film analysis, serving as a versatile tool for storytellers and educators, offering a deeper understanding of cinematic narrative construction, and demonstrating its broader applicability across various field

Abstract

This study aims to examine the standards for social and personality competencies, identify the most critical personality variables, determine the indicators of these variables influencing teacher performance, and explore teachers' perspectives on these issues. A cross-sectional survey involving 165 middle school teachers from various regions in Indonesia was conducted. The survey data were triangulated through interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) for deeper insights. Data analysis was performed using Smart-PLS 3, with findings visualized through regression and composite models. The findings highlight key competency standards, including effective, empathetic, and polite communication with educators (impact value: 0.180) and a wise personality (impact value: 0.128). The most significant personality variable identified was a teacher's sense of true life calling, showing a negative relationship with teaching performance (-0.290). Indicators of personality variables that significantly influenced teaching performance included appropriate dress compatibility (impact value: 0.102), respected behavior (impact value: 0.122), decisive speech (impact value: 0.194), swift attire presentation (impact value: 0.251), and a fit appearance (impact value: 0.098). From the teachers' perspectives, critical aspects of social and personality competencies that enhance teaching performance were effective communication with students and parents, a wise personality, and a strong sense of true life calling. These traits enable teachers to navigate challenges and adversities effectively.

Abstract

The growing need for proficient educators has driven the government to establish extensive Pre-service Teacher Professional Development Programs. This research examined the implementation of the English Language Pre-service Teacher Professional Development Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Employing a field research approach, this qualitative study utilized the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Product) model to analyze the program's effectiveness. The study yielded descriptive data, shedding light on the program's impact on participants' professionalism. The findings revealed a significant enhancement in the participants' professional competencies. This improvement is evident in their expanded knowledge of pedagogical content, as well as their heightened skills in preparing all facets related to the English language teaching (ELT) process. This encompasses the creation of ELT materials, instructional media, the utilization of diverse teaching, and school administrative management. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to the ongoing discourse on teacher professional development in the context of English language education. The study's insights could inform educational policymakers, curriculum designers, and teacher training institutions about the strengths and areas of improvement within the program. This research aimed to enrich the quality of English language education and foster the growth of proficient and dedicated educators.
