Abstract

Abstract

Masjid An Nihayah, located on Jalan Adam Malik, Karang Asam Ilir Village, Sungai Kunjang Subdistrict, Samarinda City, plays a crucial role as a center for worship and religious activities. However, the interior of the mosque, which has not been updated for a long time, has experienced a decline in aesthetic quality, affecting the comfort of the worshippers. As a place that represents spirituality, an aesthetic update of the interior has become an urgent need. Therefore, this assistance activity aims to enhance the aesthetic quality of the interior of Masjid An Nihayah to create a more comfortable and attractive worship space for the congregation. A participatory approach is used in this activity, involving the analysis of the existing condition, gathering input from the mosque management, and formulating design recommendations. Briefly, the technical planning assistance provided by the service team consists of several stages: the design phase, the preparation of the Budget Plan (RAB), and the construction process assistance phase. This activity resulted in an interior improvement design that highlights aesthetic elements such as the use of harmonious colors, optimal lighting design, and the selection of suitable decorative materials. In addition, this activity strengthens the relationship between academics and the community in supporting development based on local needs. This assistance successfully provided a design solution that improved the aesthetic quality of the mosque's interior and created a more comfortable worship space for the congregation.

Abstract

Abstract

Ergonomic problems, particularly postural disorders resulting from prolonged sitting, are prevalent among workers involved in administrative tasks, computer operations, and public communication activities. Extended sitting durations can cause physical fatigue, impaired blood circulation, and discomfort in the lower back and legs, which may eventually lead to decreased work efficiency and musculoskeletal complaints. This study aims to develop an ergonomic footrest equipped with adjustable features based on users’ anthropometric dimensions to improve comfort and prevent postural strain. Data were collected from 60 office workers, including measurements of sitting height, lower leg length, foot width, and other dimensions related to foot positioning while seated, using standard anthropometric instruments such as an anthropometer, measuring tape, and caliper. Data adequacy and uniformity tests were performed to ensure reliability and consistency, and percentile analysis was applied as a basis for design parameters. The final design resulted in a footrest height of 51.85 cm derived from sitting popliteal height, accommodating 95% of users for optimal posture; a width of 30 cm based on sitting popliteal width; and a length of 50.99 cm based on foot length, ensuring full foot support. The proposed ergonomic footrest design is expected to minimize the risk of postural disorders, enhance user comfort, and support overall workplace health and productivity.

Abstract

CV. XYZ is a company engaged in the field of goods delivery services that must distribute to various customer points every day. With the number of vehicles and delivery routes that continue to grow, the company faces challenges in managing efficient routes. If delivery is carried out without optimal route planning, there can be wasted mileage, increased fuel costs, and delays in delivery that can reduce customer satisfaction. This study tries to provide a solution with a combination approach between the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) and Heterogeneous Vehicle Routing Problem (HVRP) methods using the Evolutionary Algorithm feature in Microsoft Excel. The main problem to be answered in this study is how to determine the most optimal route and how much distance savings are obtained from the optimization results. The steps in the study start from initial observation, collecting customer and vehicle data, creating a route model, processing data with Excel, to analyzing the results. From the optimization results, the total initial mileage before optimization was 318.7 km, which was then successfully reduced to 300.44 km after processing with Solver, resulting in a difference savings of 18.26 km. These findings indicate that a mathematical method approach in delivery route planning can have a significant impact on the company's distribution efficiency and operational costs.

Abstract

The rapid development of the global gaming industry has made games not only serve as entertainment but also as a medium for learning, social interaction, and game-based entrepreneurship. One of the most widely favoured genres is the Action Role-Playing Game (Action RPG), which combines action elements with RPG mechanics. This research aims to design and develop a 2D video game titled “Supply Odyssey” in the Action RPG genre using the Godot Engine as the primary development platform. Godot was selected due to its open-source nature, free licensing, and strong support for both indie and professional developers. The research employs the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) methodology, incorporating the Line of Sight (LOS) technique to model enemy (NPC) behaviour. The implementation of LOS is expected to increase combat realism and provide greater tactical depth in real-time encounters by enabling players to strategize according to enemy visibility ranges, select optimal positions, and engage in more dynamic interactions. Supporting data were collected through observations on game platforms and developer and gamer community forums to identify relevant trends, preferred game concepts, and engaging gameplay patterns. The results of this research are expected to produce an Action RPG game that not only offers entertainment but also contributes to the development of Godot-based games and serves as a reference for applying GDLC and LOS methods in similar game development projects.
