Abstract

This research raises the problem of low critical thinking skills and student cooperation in science and science lessons in elementary schools due to learning that is not focused on students and the use of learning models is still lacking. This problem can be overcome by implementing a combination of learning models, namely the PERMATA model (Problem BasEd LeaRning, SAVI (SoMatic, Auditory, VisuAlization, dan Intellectually), dan Two Stay Two StrAy) and Wordwall Media. The aim of this research is to describe the improvements that have occurred in activities, critical thinking and collaboration skills, as well as the learning outcomes obtained by students. This research applies PTK research or classroom action research with fourth grade students at SDN Terantang 2 who act as research subjects. The method used is a qualitative and quantitative approach. The results of the research concluded that during the 4 meetings there was an increase in teacher activity with very good criteria, student learning activity increased from less active to very active, students' critical thinking and collaboration skills increased from less skilled to very skilled, and student learning outcomes increased. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the use of the PERMATA model and Wordwall media is effective in increasing activity, critical thinking and collaboration skills, as well as student learning outcomes. The results of this research are recommended as reference material for similar research in efforts to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to explore the values of character education in Kalimantan folklore and their role in shaping the character of early childhood. The approach used is the concept of children's literature and character education. Kalimantan folklore is still rarely heard, especially in kindergarten, even though it has been a bedtime story for children since ancient times. Through this research, a character learning mode develops using Kalimantan folklore as a material to transfer values, norms, and culture in the development of AUD character. This study uses a Research and Development (R & D) approach. The setting of this development research was carried out at PAUD Lab school ULM; considering the conditions of the covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of this research trial used a teacher visit and home visit strategy. The steps of this research are: 1) data collection, 2) planning, 3) model preparation, 4) expert validity test, 5) product revision, 6) field trial, 7) product revision, and 8) dissemination and implementation. The resulting model is a conceptual model of character learning based on local wisdom of Kalimantan folklore which shorts to BEKANTAN. The BEKANTAN model is an acronym for Early Childhood Character Learning Based on Local Wisdom in Kalimantan Folklore. Researchers chose the philosophy of the acronym BEKANTAN because this animal is a characteristic of South Kalimantan, which only exists in Kalimantan and is part of Kalimantan's local wisdom. The study results explain that the value of local knowledge that package through the story of Semangka Emas and Putri Junjung Buih can apply several character values for children. Character values include helping each other, not being stingy, helping sincerely, not being greedy, independent in conveying ideas, working together in groups, discipline, honesty, democracy, and responsibility in carrying out tasks.

Abstract

This study aims to describe resource management strategies (human, financial, infrastructure, and technology) in supporting educational transformation at SMK Telkom Banjarbaru as a technology-based vocational school. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied with data collection through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and document studies of the principal, teachers, facility managers, and industry partners. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman's interactive model with triangulation of sources and methods to ensure validity. The results show that SMK Telkom Banjarbaru implements annual industry needs analysis, intensive training for technical and non-technical human resources, laboratory facility upgrades, and industry partnerships for internship programs. Supporting factors include a commitment to contextual analysis and cross-sector collaboration, while the main obstacles include delays in implementation, unscheduled facility maintenance, limited industry partners, and infrequent soft skills training. The novelty of this research lies in its contextual focus on technology vocational schools with integrated industry partnerships, alignment of workplace competencies, and productive facility management. Practical recommendations include strengthening budget maintenance mechanisms, KPI monitoring systems, expanding partnerships, and regular soft skills training programs. Thus, resource management can be a catalyst for sustainable educational transformation, producing competent and work-ready graduates

Abstract

Despite the growing discourse on digital transformation in education, there is a scarcity of empirical research specifically examining the synergy between technology integration and resource management within Indonesian public senior high schools. Addressing this gap, this study aims to explore the integration of technology and resource management at SMAN 1 Panyipatan, focusing on the utilization of Management Information Systems (MIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and human resource management strategies. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved teachers, administrative staff, and the school principal as informants through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that while technology integration has improved administrative efficiency, data transparency, and student engagement, challenges such as uneven digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and the need for ongoing technical support remain. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that technology implementation, underpinned by effective resource management, significantly strengthens teacher professionalism and school operational effectiveness. These insights provide critical implications for school management policy and digital transformation strategies in similar educational contexts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the gap between the demands of the independent curriculum and teachers' readiness to implement it, particularly in terms of pedagogical competence. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation, impact, obstacles, and solutions of the teacher learning community program in improving teacher competence. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design at SDN Kelayan Selatan 2 Banjarmasin. Data were collected through structured interviews with the principal, nonparticipant observation, and documentary analysis. The results indicate that the teacher learning community is an effective collaborative platform for teachers to share experiences, improve pedagogical competence, and innovate in project-based learning. This program also has a positive impact on increasing self confidence, collaboration, and communication between teachers and the principal. However, obstacles such as limited resources, time, and motivation remain a barrier to implementation. The principal plays a crucial role through reflective supervision, the use of digital media, and providing appreciation to maintain teacher motivation. Overall, the learning community program has proven effective as a model for teacher professional development that supports the successful and sustainable implementation of the independent curriculum.
