Abstract

Ikan rucah merupakan ikan yang cacat fisik dan rusak akibat penanganan yang kurang baik dalam proses bongkar muat maupun sortasi yang mengakibatkan nilai ekonomis ikan menjadi rendah. IRT Kelurahan Sirantau yang pada umumnya merupakan istri nelayan memiliki keterbatasan pengetahuan pengolahan ikan rucah sebagai lauk pauk sumber protein. Perlunya pemberdayaan melalui program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan diversifikasi olahan ikan rucah menjadi kerupuk ikan rucah dengan tingkat penerimaan yang baik pada Kelompok IRT Produktif . Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan melalui melalui Focus Discuccion Group (FGD) pelatihan Diversifikasi produk ikan rucah menjadi kerupuk ikan rucah serta pendampingan masyarakat pada pengujian kesukaan terhadap beberapa sampel kerupuk yang dibuat pada Kelompok IRT Produktif yang dilaksanakan pada September – Oktober 2024 di Kelurahan Sirantau Kota Tanjungbalai. Pemberdayaan melalui pelatihan diversifikasi olahan ikan rucah menjadi kerupuk ikan rucah memberikan hasil peningkatan pengetahuan kepada mitra masyarakat Kelompokk IRT Kelurahan Sirantau, Kota Tanjungbalai. Hasil pretest diperoleh rata-rata skor 13.13 dan posttest sebesar 74. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mitra pada diversifikasi olahan produk ikan rucah sebesar 54,67 serta hal ini berbanding lurus dengan signifikansi berdasarkan Uji T Berpasangan diperoleh bahwa hasil  bahwa postest memberikan pengaruh. Pada pelatihan pembuatan kerupuk ikan rucah mitra mampu mengikuti dan membuat kerupuk ikan rucah dengan resep yang telah diberikan. Mitra Kelompok IRT mampu menentukan uji sensori dari produk ikan rucah yang telah dibuat. Hasil uji sensori kerupuk ikan rucah yang dihasilkan dengan rata-rata >7 yang berarti dapat diterima konsumen dengan kategori pada parameter tekstur 8.01, aroma 7.89, rasa 8.45, dan kenampakan sebesar 7.61. Pelatihan PkM ini dapat direplikasi di daerah pesisir lain dengan potensi dan bahan lokal serupa. Keberlanjutan kegiatan PkM tahap selanjutnya pada pelatihan pengemasan produk dan pemasaran digital agar berdampak terhadap ekonomi lebih berkelanjutan dengan ruang lingkup yang lebih besar di kecamatan.

Abstract

Inclusive higher education in Indonesia still faces significant challenges in fulfilling the rights of persons with disabilities to access equal education. This article presents the concept of a "Smart and Inclusive Campus" with a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach and the integration of sensory-based digital technology to create a more inclusive campus environment. A literature study and analysis of inclusive education policies were conducted to identify accessibility gaps and formulate strategies for developing campus facilities and infrastructure. The results of the study indicate that a combination of universal open space design, mobile-based assistive technology, digital navigation systems, and reinforcement of physical infrastructure can enhance the academic and social participation of students with disabilities. Implementing this concept requires the active involvement of various parties, including the government, educational institutions, the private sector, and disability communities. By adopting this innovative approach, higher education institutions are expected to create a learning environment that is equal, adaptive, and supportive of all students.

Abstract

Flood inundation mapping is a critical tool for urban flood risk assessment in tropical cities. This study investigates flood inundation extent in Medan Maimun Sub-district, Medan City, one of the most flood-prone areas in North Sumatra, Indonesia, where flood depths of approximately 3 meters were reported in February 2022 and December 2023. The study aims to: (1) determine design rainfall through frequency analysis and calculate design flood discharge for return periods of 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 years using the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (SUH Nakayasu) method; (2) simulate flood routing using two-dimensional hydraulic modeling; and (3) map the resulting flood inundation extent for each return period. Rainfall frequency analysis used annual maximum rainfall data from two stations for the period 2014–2023, with the Log Pearson III method selected based on Chi-Square goodness-of-fit testing. Design flood discharges ranged from 383.403 m³/s at the 2-year return period to 555.149 m³/s at the 100-year return period. Flood routing and inundation mapping were performed using HEC-RAS version 5.0.7 integrated with RAS Mapper. Total inundation area increased from 110.982 ha at the 2-year return period to 126.581 ha at the 100-year return period, covering approximately 41.6% of the sub-district area at the 100-year return period. The model was not formally calibrated or validated against observed flood data; results should be interpreted as indicative of relative flood risk patterns rather than precise predictions. The flood inundation maps produced provide a useful scientific basis for flood mitigation planning in Medan city, Indonesia.
