Abstract

This study aims to analyze the export procedure of cooked frozen tuna loin (Thunnus sp.) at PT LSS Banyuwangi, a tuna product that is highly sought after in international markets. The research method used includes observation, interviews, and documentation to collect primary and secondary data. The results show that the export procedure of cooked frozen tuna loin involves several stages, from production preparation to shipment to international consumers. This process includes quality inspection, health and food safety certification, packaging, and transportation using a cold chain system to maintain product freshness. This study also discusses the required documents, such as export permits, health certificates, and regulatory documents from the destination country. Therefore, to improve export efficiency and success, companies need to ensure that each stage of the procedure is carried out correctly and in accordance with international standards to ensure that the product reaches consumers with the best quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies and challenges of risk management in the export marketing of canned blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) at PT MAP in Central Java. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through surveys, direct observation, and interviews with relevant stakeholders in the company. The results identify four main risks in canned crab exports: (1) export delays due to non-compliance with FDA or SNI standards, (2) fluctuating raw material availability, (3) pure risks such as temperature instability in containers and natural disasters, and (4) payment risks including defaults and currency fluctuations. To mitigate these risks, PT MAP implements strategies such as strict quality standards (HACCP, ISO 22000), supplier diversification, real-time monitoring technology (IoT), and financial instruments like Letters of Credit (L/C) and export credit insurance. The findings underscore the importance of proactive and adaptive risk management in response to global market dynamics and provide recommendations for the fisheries industry to enhance competitiveness through international certifications and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi Agribisnis Perikanan Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Sidoarjo di Desa Gelang, Kecamatan Tulangan, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, yang dikenal sebagai sentra budidaya lele. Meskipun memiliki potensi produksi tinggi, pelaku usaha menghadapi tantangan dalam manajemen keuangan dan pemasaran digital. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan daya saing usaha melalui pelatihan analisis kelayakan usaha (HPP, BEP, R/C Ratio) dan strategi pemasaran digital menggunakan platform seperti Shopee, Instagram, dan WhatsApp Business. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan partisipatif, andragogi, demonstratif, dan aplikatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta dalam pencatatan keuangan serta keterampilan memasarkan produk secara online. Peserta mulai menerapkan pembukuan sederhana dan aktif menggunakan media digital untuk promosi. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi usaha tetapi juga memperluas akses pasar. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini menjadi dasar pengembangan pendampingan lanjutan menuju kemandirian usaha berbasis digital yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of the price and quality of Salem fishing (Scomber japonicus) on purchasing decisions at PT. DMP, Sidoarjo. The survey was conducted with 24 respondents. The results show that the main factors influencing the purchase are the freshness, color and structure of the meat. Price plays a role, but loyalty is influenced by the perception of quality. The use of excellent handling practices and cold chain management supports quality consistency supported by long-term partnerships to stimulate raw materials. Quality consistency is key to maintaining consumer loyalty.

Abstract

Budi daya ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) memegang peran strategis dalam penyediaan protein perikanan, namun peningkatan produksi masih dihadapkan pada tantangan efisiensi dan keberlanjutan, khususnya pada tahap pendederan yang bersifat kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan teknis dan finansial pendederan ikan nila menggunakan Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) pada kolam terpal bundar di SLP Magetan, Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Sidoarjo. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan eksperimental berbasis demplot lapangan dengan pengumpulan data kualitas air, parameter teknis pemeliharaan, biaya investasi dan operasional, serta hasil produksi. Analisis kelayakan finansial dilakukan menggunakan indikator keuntungan usaha, Revenue - Cost Ratio, Break Even Point, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, dan Payback Period. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem RAS menghasilkan keuntungan bersih Rp213.625 per siklus dengan nilai Revenue - Cost Ratio sebesar 1,10 dan Break Even Point penjualan sebesar Rp1.658.317,95 per siklus. Analisis jangka panjang menunjukkan nilai Net Present Value sebesar Rp17.178.294 pada tingkat suku bunga 13% serta Internal Rate of Return sebesar 27,58%, yang mengindikasikan bahwa usaha mampu menciptakan nilai tambah dan tingkat pengembalian yang kompetitif. Namun demikian, Payback Period selama 12 tahun 7 bulan melampaui umur proyek delapan tahun, menunjukkan keterbatasan dari sisi likuiditas dan kecepatan pengembalian modal. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendederan nila berbasis RAS layak secara teknis dan finansial dalam perspektif nilai dan pengembalian, tetapi memerlukan optimasi biaya awal dan dukungan pembiayaan agar berkelanjutan. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan dasar empiris bagi pengambilan keputusan teknis dan kebijakan dalam pengembangan budidaya nila berbasis RAS.Title: Optimizing Tilapia Farming Using Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) in Round Tarpaulin Ponds: Feasibility Analysis of the Fingerling Stage Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) aquaculture plays a strategic role in global fish protein supply; however, production expansion continues to face efficiency and sustainability challenges, particularly during the critical fingerling stage. This study aims to evaluate the technical and financial feasibility of tilapia fingerling production using a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) in round tarpaulin ponds at SLP Magetan, Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Sidoarjo. The research employed a field-based experimental demonstration plot, collecting data on water quality, husbandry performance, investment and operational costs, and production output. Financial feasibility was assessed using profit analysis, Revenue–Cost Ratio, Break Even Point, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, and Payback Period. The results indicate that RAS-based fingerling production generates a net profit of IDR 213,625 per cycle with a Revenue–Cost Ratio of 1.10 and a Break Even Point of IDR 1,658,317.95 per cycle. Long-term analysis shows a positive Net Present Value of IDR 17,178,294 at a 13% discount rate and an Internal Rate of Return of 27.58%, confirming the project’s ability to create economic value and offer a competitive return. Nevertheless, the Payback Period of 12 years and 7 months exceeds the project lifespan of eight years, indicating constraints related to liquidity and capital recovery speed. These findings suggest that RAS-based tilapia fingerling production is technically viable and financially attractive in terms of value creation, yet requires cost optimization and appropriate financing schemes to enhance long-term sustainability. The study provides empirical evidence to support technical decision-making and policy formulation for sustainable RAS-based tilapia aquaculture.

Abstract

Desa Segoro Tambak, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, memiliki potensi perikanan tambak yang besar, termasuk produk olahan terasi udang. Produk terasi yang dihasilkan pelaku usaha lokal masih menghadapi kendala pada aspek pengemasan dan visualisasi branding, sehingga nilai jual dan daya saing produk belum optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya jual produk terasi udang melalui penerapan teknik pengemasan yang higienis dan penguatan visual branding produk. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Asset Based Community Development dengan teknik deskriptif-partisipatif, yang dilaksanakan melalui observasi lapangan, bimbingan teknis, praktik langsung pengemasan menggunakan bahan food grade, serta pendampingan penerapan desain label produk. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan pelaku usaha dalam menerapkan kemasan yang lebih rapi, higienis, dan beridentitas. Penerapan kemasan dan branding yang lebih baik memberikan dampak positif terhadap tampilan produk dan kesiapan pelaku usaha dalam memperluas jangkauan pemasaran terasi udang di Desa Segoro Tambak.
