Abstract

According to applicable law, cosmetics are pharmaceutical products that can only be distributed after obtaining a distribution permit. This permit serves as a consumer protection measure to ensure the safety of cosmetic products. To regulate the circulation of cosmetics without a valid distribution permit, the government has established regulations to oversee their distribution, ensuring consumer protection. This study aims to examine the legal framework governing cosmetic business licenses and the legal responsibilities of cosmetic business operators who lack a distribution permit. The research employs a normative juridical approach. Before being marketed, every cosmetic product must obtain a distribution permit through a notification process with the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency. Cosmetic distributors operating without this permit may face legal consequences, including both criminal and administrative sanctions.

Abstract

This research discusses the legal protection for social security in employment for informal workers as a realization of the mandate of the state basis of the Republic of Indonesia aimed at achieving social welfare. The objective of this research is to identify the forms of legal protection for participants of social security in employment from the ranks of informal workers, as well as solutions to the problems that arise, particularly related to the inability to pay contributions to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. The research method used is normative juridical with a legislative approach (statute approach). The data sources utilized are derived from primary and secondary legal materials, with data collection techniques through literature study. Data analysis is conducted in a descriptive-analytical manner. The problem formulations in this research include: (1) What is the form of legal protection for informal workers in employment social security, and (2) What are the legal consequences for informal workers who are unable to pay the BPJS Employment contributions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kedudukan hukum anak dari hubungan nikah siri berdasarkan Kompilasi Hukum Islam dan Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974 tentang Perkawinan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan dan studi kepustakaan sebagai sumber data utama. Penelitian ini menganalisis ketentuan-ketentuan hukum positif serta pandangan Kompilasi Hukum Islam yang berkaitan dengan pengakuan anak, status perwalian, serta hak-hak keperdataan anak hasil nikah siri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun nikah siri sah secara agama apabila memenuhi rukun dan syarat nikah menurut hukum Islam, namun karena tidak dicatatkan secara hukum negara, maka anak yang lahir dari perkawinan tersebut tidak secara otomatis mendapatkan pengakuan hukum dari ayah biologisnya. Dalam konteks hukum positif Indonesia, anak dari nikah siri hanya memiliki hubungan hukum dengan ibunya, kecuali ada pengakuan atau penetapan pengadilan yang mengakui hubungan keayahannya. Kondisi ini dapat berdampak pada hak-hak anak seperti warisan, nafkah, dan identitas hukum. Oleh karena itu, legalisasi perkawinan melalui pencatatan resmi penting dilakukan untuk memberikan perlindungan hukum bagi perempuan dan anak yang dilahirkan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pencatatan perkawinan sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab hukum dan sosial

Abstract

Layanan kurir menjadi elemen vital dalam mendukung kegiatan perekonomian dan komunikasi di era digital. JNE Express sebagai salah satu perusahaan jasa ekspedisi ternama di Indonesia memiliki tanggung jawab hukum atas pelaksanaan perjanjian pengangkutan barang yang dilakukan dengan konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk pertanggungjawaban JNE Express atas wanprestasi dalam pengiriman barang serta mengkaji upaya hukum yang dapat dilakukan konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan yuridis empiris, yaitu perpaduan antara pendekatan hukum normatif dan fakta empiris melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa JNE Express belum sepenuhnya memenuhi pertanggungjawaban atas wanprestasi seperti keterlambatan, kerusakan, dan kehilangan barang. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman konsumen terhadap klausul perjanjian, rendahnya penggunaan asuransi, lemahnya kualitas pelayanan pelanggan, serta kendala teknologi. Upaya hukum yang dapat dilakukan konsumen meliputi jalur litigasi dan non-litigasi seperti mediasi dan pengaduan ke BPSK. Edukasi terhadap konsumen dan penguatan sistem manajemen mutu JNE Express menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan perlindungan hukum bagi konsumen.

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology have significantly increased the accessibility of cyberspace, enabling data exchange to occur anytime and anywhere. However, this convenience also increases the risk of unauthorized access and manipulation of confidential information. Therefore, effective data protection mechanisms are required to maintain information security in digital systems. One technique that can be utilized to enhance data protection is steganography, which hides secret messages within digital media so that their existence is not easily detected. This study aims to implement a steganography technique in a digital catalog system to secure product description data by embedding the information within image files. The system was developed as a web-based application using the PHP programming language, while the message hiding process employed the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method on image media in JPG format. The research involved designing and implementing an embedding and extraction mechanism that allows product data to be hidden and retrieved from digital images. The testing results indicate that the system successfully embeds and extracts text messages without causing visible differences between the original image and the stego image, thus fulfilling the fidelity and recovery criteria. However, the embedded data cannot be maintained when the image undergoes manipulation such as cropping, rotation, or contrast modification, indicating that the robustness criterion is not achieved. Overall, the LSB-based steganography approach is effective for concealing product information in digital catalog images, although further development is required to improve resistance to image manipulation.
