Abstract

Children who have difficulty expressing their wants and needs are more likely to be helped and fail to gain independence. Providing stimulation to foster communication skills starting from an early age through play and media activities. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Hello Book media on early childhood language skills. This type of research is a Quasi Experiment (quasi-experiment). The population in this study were students of group B of two Kindergarten Institutions. The data collection technique uses observation to determine the level of development of language skills. The hypothesis test used is the Independent t-test parametric statistical test. According to the calculation results obtained t = -4,303 with a sig value. = 0.0001. The difference in the mean value between the experimental group and the control group was 2,150. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Hello Book media in learning has a positive and significant effect on children's language skills in Kindergarten.

Abstract

This study aims to improve initial reading skills in group B students at Dharma Wanita Kindergarten, Jambi Village. This study used the PTK approach, with the research subjects being group B students of the Dharma Wanita Kindergarten, Jambi Village. The research was conducted in 3 cycles, using observation sheet instruments, performance or worksheets, and documentation. The results of this study show that (1) Through the learning action cycle, it can be proven that children who were previously not fluent in reading skills are now fluent (2) after researching, children who previously did not memorize letters now have memorized (3) Through action cycles Learning smart Flanel board media is proven to be able to improve reading comprehension skills for students who previously felt bored because of the teacher's lack of creativity in learning media, now children are more enthusiastic when participating in learning activities. It can be shown through the results of the mastery cycle in learning using smart Flanel board media that has been carried out, namely in cycle I getting a percentage of 41.16%, cycle II 70.58%, and cycle III 94.11%, which can be said to have increased as expected.

Abstract

In recent years, fun learning methods have almost disappeared from school classrooms. In addition, there is a reduction in active and creative playtime so that students feel bored. This study aims to build (C5) simple mathematical concepts with the traditional game Dakon and Snakes and Ladders in developing numeracy skills in children with high and low order thinking abilities. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) with a 2x2 factorial design. The subjects in this study were 60 children in group B. The data collection techniques used in this study were tests and observations. The instrument used is a test question, and the observation sheet uses five indicators to measure the ability to count ata analysis using Two Way ANOVA test. This research aims to build a simple mathematical concept with traditional dakon games to develop numeracy skills in children with higher-order thinking skills, which gives better results than the traditional snake and ladder game with a Mean Difference value of 1.533 and a Significance value of 0.0001. Building simple mathematical concepts with traditional dakon games to develop numeracy skills in children with low-level thinking abilities gave better results than the traditional snake and ladder game with a Mean Difference value of 2.867 and a Significance value of 0.0001. Thus, it can be concluded that the traditional dakon game is very well used to build simple mathematical concepts, especially numeracy skills.

Abstract

Jatiduwur, a village in the northern part of Jombang district, is renowned for its Wayang Topeng art. By nurturing this art form, Jatiduwur can uplift its community spirit and promote Jombang as a guardian of cultural heritage. The focus extends beyond modernizing performances and training new talent; it also includes creating marketable mask products to boost economic growth. Youth organizations and PKK members undergo training to sustain the tradition and establish a business network. Program activities encompass coordination, socialization, and four training sessions covering storyline composition, dance music innovation, souvenir crafting, and marketing strategies. Outcomes include the establishment of a Jatiduwur art studio with 37 performers, official registration, and the formation of a business group involving 17 PKK members. This initiative has not only enriched the cultural landscape but also enhanced community income through performances and merchandise sales, including t-shirts, keychains, and masks, with notable sales figures.

Abstract

This research is motivated by findings at the Mojoroto State Kindergarten, where the basic numeracy skills of early childhood children are still low. Many children are unable to distinguish numbers and count correctly, and there is a lack of use of educational learning media. To address this issue, the researcher created a learning media called "Lettrum box" using a quasi-experimental method and a quantitative approach. The study involved 24 children, divided into a control class (A2) and an experimental class (A1). Each class participated in five learning sessions. The research instrument was a numeracy post-test with five questions per session. The post-test results showed a significant difference between the two groups. The average score of the control group was 8.00, while the experimental group reached 16.31. This research aims to improve the basic numeracy skills of early childhood children. Thus, the learning media "Lettrum box" has been proven effective in enhancing the numeracy skills of early childhood children in early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

Seiring berjalannya waktu dan adanya kondisi yang melandai pada pandemi covid-19, maka orang tua perlu meningkatkan pendampingan putra-putrinya saat melakukan aktivitas belajar dan saat beraktivitas selain belajar. Kegiatan pengabdian memiliki fokus pada pemahaman orang tua menjadi individu yang ideal dalam mendampingi belajar anak pasca pandemi covid-19 melalui optimalisasi peran modelling, mentoring, organizing, dan teaching di MI Al-Hikmah Kweden Kabupaten Kediri. Jumlah peserta pada kegiatan seminar sebanyak 33 peserta, dan pada kegiatan pelatihan sebanyak 36 peserta. Metode kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain mengacu pada tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat memberikan hasil, diantaranya: (1) hasil evaluasi program seminar pengasuhan orang tua dengan tingkat keberhasilan baik; (2) hasil evaluasi program pelatihan orang tua dengan kategori keberhasilan sangat baik; dan (3) kegiatan pelatihan berhasil dalam memberikan pemahaman keterlibatan orang tua mengenai pentingnya peran modelling, mentoring, organizing, dan teaching di MI Al-Hikmah Kweden Kabupaten Kediri. Peningkatan pada hasil evaluasi dan pemahaman keterlibatan orang tua dalam mendampingi belajar anak, menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian berjalan dengan baik. Saran kegiatan pengabdian selanjutnya lebih difokukan pada pelatihan peningkatan kesadaran orangtua terkait modelling, mentoring, organizing, dan teaching melalui aksi nyata secara berkala dalam pengembangan kreativitas anak

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mengkaji secara konseptual dasar-dasar teori pendukung yang akan menguatkan tentang pra literasi pada anak usia 3-4 tahun. Kajian ini berdasarkan temuan lain dalam penelitian yang telah dilakukan dari pengembangan metode bermain sebagai konsep merdeka belajar di KB Labschool UNP Kediri. Salah satu kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pengembangan literasi pagi sebelum memulai kegiatan bermain yang lain dengan membacakan buku cerita secara rutin. Perkembangan anak menunjukan munculnya kesadaran akan bahan bacaan pada diri anak. Desain penelitian yang akan dilakukan menggunakan studi kepustakaan yang akan menggali teori dasar pentingnya pra literasi, bagaimana karakteristik pra literasi pada aak usia 3-4 tahun. Hasil kajian beragam teroi berdasarkan membaca hasil penelitian, buku dan juga sumber relevan akan digunakan oleh peneliti dalam tingkat lanjutan penelitian mengembangkan metode bermain khususnya pra literasi. Rekomendasi yang diharapkan dari kajian kepustakaan ini akan menemukan inovasi pengembangan pra literasi bersumber dari bahan lingkungan sekitar anak sebagai focus awal pengembangan penelitian yang dilakukan.

Abstract

Keterampilan fisik-motorik serta bahasa merupakan aspek yang sangat penting pada usia setiap anak dan sebagai dasar individu untuk mencapai kematangan motorik dan kecerdasan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas permainan rangkaian Smart Kiddo Games. Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control. Dengan subjek penelitian anak kelompok A dari tiga lembaga Taman Kanak-kanak di wilayah Kediri, dengan jumlah sampel 115 anak. Dengan Teknik pengambilan data dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data uji coba terbatas menggunakan Wilcoxon signed rank test dan uji coba lapangan menggunakan Independent Sample T test. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan dan peningkatan hasil belajar anak pada kemampuan fisik motorik dan bahasa yakni (2-tailed) 0,0001 < 0,05 untuk kelompok eksperimen, setelah penggunaan Smart Kiddo Games. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan penggunaan Smart Kiddo Games memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan pada kemampuan fisik- motorik dan bahasa pada anak usia dini.
