Abstract

Abstract

Dyslipidemia is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease and stroke. Leaflets are a suitable information delivery medium for providing education to patients. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Respondents were given a knowledge questionnaire before the intervention (pre-test), then received education using a digital leaflet, and then were re-measured (post-test) to see any changes in their level of knowledge. Population: Kediri City residents who are at risk or have predisposing factors for dyslipidemia. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge among respondents after receiving education using a digital leaflet. In the pre-test, the average percentage of correct answers was 79.5%. This measurable increase in knowledge proves that digital leaflets are an effective medium for conveying health information. Education using digital leaflets is effective in increasing public knowledge about dyslipidemia and its treatment in Kediri.

Abstract

The global COVID-19 pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges to global health. Dr. Soedomo Regional General Hospital in Trenggalek, which is involved in the management of COVID-19 patients, has witnessed a long journey in responding to and treating individuals infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The use of acetaminophen has been a primary focus in efforts to improve standards of care and understanding symptom management in COVID-19 patients. Chronopharmacological analysis of acetaminophen use in COVID-19 patients at Dr. Soedomo Hospital aims to provide insight into how the timing of drug administration can affect therapeutic responses. There is evidence that the body's circadian rhythm can influence the metabolism and pharmacological effects of drugs, but this perspective has not been fully explored in the context of COVID-19. This study involved an analytical observational approach with a Cross-Sectional design and retrospective data collection method from the medical records of COVID-19 patients treated at Dr. Soedomo Regional Hospital in Trenggalek District. The results of the study showed that acetaminophen therapy at 16.00 WIB resulted in a more significant reduction in body temperature compared to other times. A deeper understanding of the body's circadian rhythm can help optimize the benefits of therapy and reduce potential side effects. Although there are limitations to this study, these results provide a basis for the development of more targeted and personalized treatment strategies. The clinical implications of this research can help in determining the optimal timing for administering therapy to achieve desired effects in COVID-19 patients.

Abstract

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are major non-communicable diseases (NCDs) that pose a serious health burden, particularly among the elderly. This community service activity aimed to increase knowledge and awareness regarding prevention and control of these diseases among outpatients at the Bandung Community Health Centre, Tulungagung Regency. The activity was conducted on July 11, 2025, involving 40 participants selected based on SIMPUSTA records indicating a history or risk of hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Participants hypertension and random blood glucose checks before receiving direct health education. The educational session was delivered using verbal explanations and leaflets, focusing on symptoms, complications, and disease management. Results showed that 15% of participants had hypertension and 30% had uncontrolled blood sugar. These findings align with national trends and highlight the importance of regular screening and targeted education. This program demonstrated that simple interventions in primary care settings can effectively promote early detection and Improve chronic disease management, especially when supported by interactive and community-based health promotion strategies. However, this program did not include quantitative evaluation of the educational intervention, which limits the ability to measure its direct impact on participants knowledge and behavior.
