Abstract

Lecturer performance is an important factor in improving the quality of higher education, because lecturers not only act as educators, but also as researchers and community service. However, lecturer performance assessment often faces obstacles, such as the lack of uniform evaluation standards, a tendency for subjectivity in assessments, and limited evaluation instruments capable of assessing performance comprehensively. To overcome these problems, a data-driven approach is needed that can provide objective and measurable analysis results. One method that can be used is data mining with the C4.5 algorithm, which is a decision tree-based classification algorithm. This study aims to apply the C4.5 algorithm to measure lecturer performance achievements based on historical data that includes various indicators of the tridharma of higher education. The research stages include problem identification, literature review, data collection, selection of analysis techniques, implementation of the C4.5 algorithm with the help of RapidMiner software, and analysis of test results. The resulting classification model is visualized in the form of a decision tree so that it is easy to understand and can be used as a basis for evaluation. The test results show that the C4.5 algorithm is able to produce a classification model with an accuracy level of 86.67%. This demonstrates that C4.5 is effective in processing lecturer performance data and producing more objective and transparent evaluations, while also reducing the potential for subjectivity in assessments. This research provides a strategic contribution to supporting managerial decision-making in higher education, particularly in formulating policies for improving the quality of education and sustainable professional development of lecturers.

Abstract

The process of appointing honorary teachers as permanent teachers still faces various challenges, particularly concerning objectivity and transparency in decision-making. Many educational institutions continue to rely on manual evaluation methods to assess teacher eligibility, which are often subjective and lack measurable analytical foundations. Consequently, the appointment process does not always reflect the actual competence and performance of honorary teachers. Based on these issues, this study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the Analytical Network Process (ANP) method to assist schools and educational authorities in objectively, systematically, and accurately determining which honorary teachers are eligible for permanent appointment. The ANP method was chosen because it can map the interdependence among criteria and sub-criteria in the selection process. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature review, then processed using a pairwise comparison matrix to generate the priority weights of each criterion and alternative. The findings indicate that the ANP-based decision support system effectively improves speed, efficiency, and fairness in the teacher appointment process. The results show that the alternative Dwi Rokita achieved the highest score of 2.531439, making her the most eligible candidate for permanent appointment. Therefore, the application of the ANP method proves to be effective in supporting objective and accountable decision-making in the appointment of honorary teachers, while simultaneously contributing to the improvement of human resource quality in the education sector.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa sosialisasi tentang Pengolahan Data Bantuan Desa pada Desa Paluh. PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kemudahan kepada petugas dalam mengelola bantuan di Desa Paluh Bakih. Subjek pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah masyarakat beserta pegawai di Kantor Desa Paluh Bakih Babussalam. Metode dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa metode yang digunakan dalam sosialisasi keamanan data menggunakan Teknologi Informasi dan untuk memberikan pelatihan praktis tentang cara mengolah data bantuan desa. Hasil dari kegiatan kepada masyarakat terlihat bahwa masyarakat memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk mengambil langkah-langkah preventif awal dalam mengamankan data dan informasi pribadi mereka. Sehingga mereka dapat mengurangi kecemasan dan risiko saat mengakses internet, sehingga merasa lebih aman dan percaya diri dalam menggunakan teknologi digital. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman yang dimiliki oleh peserta peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat dan petugas desa mengenai penggunaan Google Form untuk pengelolaan data. Adanya pelatihan ini, proses pendataan bantuan di Desa Paluh Pakih Babussalam menjadi lebih terstruktur, mengurangi kesalahan, dan meningkatkan transparansi. Peserta menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai pengolahan data dan pentingnya menjagamenmmenjaga keamanan informasi menjaga keamanan informasi.
