Abstract

Work is a source of income for someone to fulfill the economy for themselves and their families. work is an activity that produces something and has value for others, in its implementation they must cooperate with a company or formal company. work is to get income in return for the energy expended. One of these incomes, apart from the basic salary, is the Hari Raya Allowance (THR). To get this holiday allowance, the researchers used fuzzy methods. and this research uses a kind of quantitative descriptive research method, research that collects data in the field using interview and observation techniques. The purpose of this research is to decide on the distribution of holiday allowance (THR) to the employees of PT. Karimun Marine Shipyard.

Abstract

Appreciation of employee performance is very necessary in a company to improve the quality of performance and work enthusiasm for employees. One of them is SUBCON MICRO ENGINEER which operates in the field of distribution and installation of ducting installations. This company gives appreciation in the form of bonuses to its employees. The existing bonus calculation uses several criteria such as the employee's length of service and the employee's net salary. From the criteria obtained, it can be calculated using the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method, then creating decisions in the form of few and many variables. Once the variable decision is obtained, it will produce a nominal employee bonus.

Abstract

Currently metal joining (welding) is widely needed in the world of fabrication, mining and shipping construction. Good welding has a guiding procedure in the form of WPS. WPS has several parameters that determine heat input. This research was conducted to determine the compatibility between the parameters in the procedures used and the actual parameters used in the field. The research was carried out on 3 samples that had the same dimensions, namely a diameter of 4" with a thickness of 6.02 mm. The three samples were welded by three different welders with the same qualifications. The research results found that the actual parameters used were not too far from those stated in the WPS. The welds are then checked visually and then continued with the NDT process in the form of RT & PMI. This is done to determine the condition of the inside of the weld and its chemical composition after the welding process

Abstract

Work network planning or also known as network planning is a method used in the manufacture of tugboats. The network planning analysis method used in tugboat shipbuilding in this study is to use the cpm (critical path method) method.The purpose of this research is to find network planning on the work of making tugboat items to find out which activities are crisis paths to minimize delays in the completion of making tugboat items. The type of research used is qualitative research. The research variables used are the creation of a work network, determining the earliest time of the event (eet) and the slowest time of the event (let), the critical path and the completion time of making tugboat items. The type of data used is quantitative data sourced from interviews, observations and company documents. Critical work is an activity: A. (Preparation and Submission of Contracts), B. (Making and Submission of Drawings), C. (Provision of Matrial), E. (Fitting), F. (Fit Up), G. (Checking by Supervisors from the Shipyard), H. (Welding), J. (Blasting), L (Provision and Installation of Fittings).

Abstract

Padeye is an object shaped semicircle that made of metal and welded to a profile. The top priority in lifting process is the safety of the structure to be lifted. The structure must not suffer damage or overstress during the lifting process. This causes in mendesai padeye must bethrough careful calculation so that the resulting design is in accordance with the load to be lifted that will be lifted. This research uses a quantitative method by using design calculations and loading on the padeye design. The results research shows that the padeye design for a 100-ton load plan with dimensions Length 360mm, Width 260 and Height 400mm has a stress below the allowable stress so it is safe to use so it is safe to use.

Abstract

Welding using the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) method is one of the popular welding techniques in the manufacturing and construction industries. Even though SAW has advantages in high productivity and welding quality, it still faces challenges related to porosity defects that can arise during the welding process. Porosity defects are one of the serious problems that can reduce the strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance of welded joints. In this study, analysis of porosity defects in SAW welding was carried out. First, a literature study was carried out to understand the factors that influence the formation of porosity during SAW welding. These factors include the nature of the base material, the setting of welding parameters, the composition of the shielding gas, and the condition of the base metal surface. The results of this study indicate that the formation of porosity defects in SAW welding is strongly influenced by the setting of welding parameters and conditions in the field. This study provides better insight into the nature and characteristics of porosity defects in SAW welding, and provides guidance for reducing or avoiding porosity defects through proper control of welding parameters and good surface preparation. By reducing the porosity defect rate in SAW welding, it is hoped that it will increase the reliability and quality of the resulting welded joints, thereby meeting higher industrial standards and structural safety.

Abstract

The Riau archipelago province has quite a large sea area and therefore the development of water transportation technology, namely ships, is a quite promising business field in the ship construction industry in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to calculate the weight of materials and make plans to estimate material needs, where Calculating ship weight and planning ship material estimates using CAD (Computer Aided Design) and Excel applications. It is hoped that from the research results, calculating ship weight and estimating material requirements will be able to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in ship production for the company. The calculation results obtained an estimated material requirement of 987,592 tons in the shipbuilding of 230x80x16 feet barge based on swc.

Abstract

WPS has several parameters that determine heat input. This research was conducted to determine the welding results when the heat input used exceeds the value specified in the WPS used in the field. The research was carried out on 3 samples that have the same dimensions, namely 2" diameter with a thickness of 5.54 mm. The research method used was quantitative experimental. The weld results are checked visuallythen continued with the NDT process in the form of RT. At each increase in heat input, there is a distortion of 4 mm and 1 number of RT weld defects in the heat input more than 10% WPS, distortion of 6 mm and 2 number of weld defects in the heat input more than 20% WPS, distortion 8 mm and 3 number of weld defects in the heat input more than 30 % WPS. The T test results show that overheating influences the occurance of distortion and RT results in GTAW welding. From the research results, it can be concluded that the higher the heat input used in the GTAW welding process for Inconel UNS N06625 material, the higher the distortion and number of weld defects in the welding results.

Abstract

After COVID-19 pandemic era, the online teaching process has been adapted and used for various learning purposes. Some of the shortcomings of the online system are the limited interaction in practical learning, such as application-based practice. In addition, the process of practicum is not optimal because some students cannot carry out the instructions given due to the limited equipment of the students such as personal computers or laptops. Therefore, this research was conducted to make modifications to the application-based practicum system (AutoCAD practicum) with a remote system using the Team Viewer application. This study uses mixed method qualitative and quantitative where the questionnaire was given to participants after the training. The population that will be used in this study are all students who take the Introduction to Design engineering course with AutoCAD Practicum material. The results of this study show that the accessibility, interface and operation of the AutoCAD application can be done properly using the Team Viewer application with the students' smartphone media so that the practicum can be done properly. This strategy can overcome the problems of limited equipment and passive interaction during the practicum process. In addition, the strategies and methods can be widely applied to learning in general and other application-based practicums.

Abstract

Wind farm transportation installation vessel (WTIV) is a vessel specifically designed to install offshore wind turbines. Most are self-elevating jack up rigs. To enable rapid relocation at the wind farm, the power plan is self during the process fabrication block, a cracked weld defect was found visually in one of the butt weld joints. The amount of support resulting from calculating the influence of the load from the crane pedestal is 494 kpa in the deck plate area where cracks were found to be defective and this can influence the occurrence of cracks in the butt joint. Meanwhile, the maximum stress calculation that can be calculated due to the crane pedestal load is σ: 0.370 N/mm2 or σ: 370Mpa on the deck plate. Meanwhile the steps to repair the welding crack so that it doesn’t happen again, what must be done is by adding support under the deck crane pedestal, while is terms of welding repair that is by carrying out welding in accordance with the WPS and welding sequence.
