Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan hasil aplikasi model RAFT didalam menulis puisi, untuk mengetahui apakah ada efek yang signifikan dari model RAFT pada kemampuan menulis puisi dan melihat apakah setelah menggunakan model RAFT kemampuan menulis puisi siswa lebih baik daripada sebelumnya pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tukka. Dalam melaksanakan penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode experiment. Dalam menganalisis data yang diperoleh peneliti melihat hubungan sebab dan akibat antara kedua variable. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tukka yang berjumlah 154 siswa. Sampel yang diambil dari populasi menggunakan cluster sampel dengan jumlah 38 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi dan tes. Setelah mengumpulkan data diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa dalam menulis puisi sebelum menggunakan  model RAFT adalah 64,50 kategori “cukup”. Sedangkan setelah menggunakan RAFT diperoleh nilai rata-rata 77, 32 kategori “bagus”. Setelah melakukan uji  ttest   dan ttable, nilai keduanya dibandingkan  dan diketahui  bahwa ttest lebih tinggi daripada ttable (ttest > ttable = 10,32 > 2,03). hal ini menunjukkan adanya efek yang signifikan dari penggunaan model RAFT pada kemampuan menulis puisi siswa pada kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tukka. Jadi hipotesis penelitian ini diterima

Abstract

The purposes of this research to find out whether there was a significant effect of picture and picture model to the students skill on writing biography. This research conducted by using experimental method one group pretest-posttest design. The populations of this research the entire tenth grade students consist of 178 students. Sample taken by cluster sampling technique, technique for collecting data were observation sheet and giving essay test, the total sample 38 students. After calculating the data, it was found the mean score of students writing biography before using picture and picture model 32.47, it was categorized “Fail”, while the mean score of students writing biography after using picture and picture model 75.97, it categorized “Good”. The alternative hypothesis accepted. Where the result of hypothesis test shows that ttest was 36.46. The degree of freedom (df) was N- 1 =38-1 = 37. The score df of ttable at 5% significant level from 37 was 2.02. Based on calculation ttest was higher than ttable (ttest > ttable = 36.46 > 2.02). It can be concluded that there’s a significant effect of Picture and Picture Model to the students’ skill on writing biography at the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 1 Tukka.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to find out: 1) The application of gallery walk on students’ writing announcement. 2) The students’ writing announcement before and after using gallery walk. 3) Whether there is a significant effect of gallery walk on the students’ writing announcement at the tenth grade of SMK Negeri 1 Lumut. Method of the research is experimental. The population of this research are all of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Lumut that consists of 119 students. Purposive sampling technique is used to get the sample of research , the sample consist of 30 students. The technique for collecting data are observation sheet and test. The result of the application of gallery walk is 3.68 categorized “Very Good”. Before using Gallery Walk is 54. 2 categorized “Low”. Meanwhile, after using Gallery Walk is 76.56 categorized “Good”. The result of ttest 13.75 and ttable 2.04 it means that there is any significant effect of using Gallery Walk on students’ writing announcement at the tenth grade SMK Negeri 1 Lumut 2018/2019 Academic Year.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to find out: 1) the extent of the application of reciprocal teaching technique on students’ reading comprehension of recount text, 2) the extent of students’ reading comprehension of recount text before and after using reciprocal teaching technique, 3) whether there is any significant effect of reciprocal teachingtechnique on students’ reading comprehension of recount text at the tenth grade of MAS BaiturRahman. This research uses experimental method. The population is all the tenth grade students which are devided into two classes and total are 65 students. The sample consist of 29 students by using purposive sampling. The technique of collecting data is used observation and test. After collecting the data, the mean of application description reciprocal teaching technique is 3.6. It is catagorized “Very Good”. The students’ reading comprehension of recount text before using reciprocal teaching technique is 67.31 it is categorized “Enough” and after is 82.46 it is catagorized “Very Good”. The calculation of t-test formula is 10.47, and the t-table is 2.05. It means that there is a significant effect of reciprocal teaching technique on students’ reading comprehension of recount text at the tenth grade of MAS BaiturRahman.

Abstract

The aim of this research are to know: 1) The extent of the application of collaborative learning model on students’ writing announcement ability, 2) The extent of the students’ writing announcement ability before and after of collaborative learning model 3) Whether there is any significant effect of collaborative learning model on students’ writing announcement ability at X grade of SMA N 1 Angkola Barat. This research uses experimental method with the pre-experimental design by using one-group pre test and post test design. The population of this research is all of the X grade students’ of SMA N 1 Angkola Barat which consist of 180 students. Sample were X MIPA 1 which consist of 32 students which taken by cluster sampling. In collecting the data the researchers uses observation sheet and test as an instrument. The result of this research: 1) the application of collaborative learning model is 3.26, it is categorized “Very Good”. 2) The mean score of the students’ writing announcement ability is 57.2 and it is categorized “bad”. Meanwhile, after using collaborative learning model was 78.7, it is categorized “good”. The result of data analysis shows that ttestis higher than ttable(ttest10.28 >ttable2.04). So, the hypothesis is accepted. It means that, 3) there is a significant effect of collaborative learning model on students’ writing announcement ability at the X grade students of SMA N 1 Angkola Barat

Abstract

Motivasi belajar anak dimasa pandemi drastis mengalami kemundurun, hal ini dipicu dari ketidaksiapan masyarakat dalam menangani situasi yang berlangsung dengan tiba-tiba. Pemerintah  mengambil langkah sigap memberlakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh atau yang disingkat dengan PJJ.Tentunya kemungkinan-kemungkinan negatif dalam pembelajaran yang mengakibatkan kemerosotan motivasi belajar anak,karena masih banyak yang kurang bisa memahami materi lewat media sosial dan ditambah dengan tugas yang menuntut perhatian orang tua untuk andil dalam mendampingi anak dari rumah.Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan kembali motivasi anak selama pandemi lewat salah satu program pembelajaran visit home. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dimulai dari persiapan berupa sosialisasi, setelah itu pelaksanaan lewat penyampain materi dalam program yang akan dilakukan dan indikator keberhasilan dalam  dampak program visit home di desa Situmba, kecamatan Sipirok sangat positif selama masa pandemipandemi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari (1) anak merasa diperhatikan (2) anak merasa dihargai dan (3) meningkatkan prestasi anak.                                                                                Children's learning motivation during the pandemic got a drastic decline, this case was triggered by the unpreparedness of the community in dealing with situations that took place suddenly. The government took swift steps to implement distance learning or abbreviated as PJJ. Of course, there are negative possibilities in learning that result in a decline in children's learning motivation because there are still many who cannot understand the material through social media and coupled with tasks that require parents' attention to take part in accompanying children from home. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to increase children's motivation during the pandemic through one of the visit home learning programs. The stages of the activities carried out started from preparation in the form of socialization, after that the implementation through the delivery of material in the program to be carried out and indicators of success in the impact of the visit home program in Situmba village, Sipirok sub-district were very positive during the pandemic. This can be seen from (1) the child feels cared for (2) the child feels appreciated and (3) increases the child's achievement. Keywords: learning, visit home

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to find out: 1) the kind of connotative meaning is found in Ed Sheeran’s 10 song lyrics, 2) the connotative meaning contained in the lyrics of Ed Sheeran’s song and 3) the most dominant types of connotative meaning in the 10 lyrics of Ed Sheeran’s song. In collecting the data, the researcher used documentation. By using connotative meaning theory of Hook’s in Cahyani. The researcher focused to analyze connotative meaning that include 2 types, namely: Positive connotation and negative connotation. The result of the study showed that from Ed Sheeran’s song lyrics, the researcher found there were 41 utterance containing the types of connotative meaning. Positive connotation with percentage 70.5% and Negative connotation 29.5%. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the most dominant types of Connotative meaning in Ed Sheeran’s song lyrics is Positive connotation. While the meanings contained in the 10 lyrics of Ed Sheeran’s songs were: Disappointment and happiness.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of post-certification professional teacher training at MTsN 1 Model Padangsidimpuan. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analytical study methods. Data collection used observation, interview and documentation study methods. Next, the data was analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To test the validity of the data, data triangulation techniques were used. The results of this research concluded that there were 61 certified teachers at MTsN 1 Model Padangsidimpuan, consisting of 60 Civil Servants (PNS) and 1 Non-Civil Servant (honorary). Certified teachers at MTsN 1 Model Padangsidimpuan undergo training after they are certified to support professionalism in the implementation of education. The training includes laboratory training, Class Action Research (CAR), Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP), increasing the competence of subject teachers, implementation of the 2013 curriculum, pre-service, integrated information technology, personnel administration, and personality training.
