Abstract

The Tugu Adipura intersection in Bandar Lampung is a vital traffic hub connecting four major roads. Rapid population growth and increasing vehicle numbers challenge traffic flow and urban quality of life. Despite its importance, there is limited research using predictive models to analyze traffic patterns at complex intersections in mid-sized Indonesian cities. This study addresses that gap by examining traffic growth on four connected roads using deep learning models. Traffic data were collected hourly from June 1, 2021, to July 31, 2023. A comparative analysis of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) models was conducted, with SGD and Adam as optimizers. Results show the GRU model with Adam achieved the lowest RMSE (0.23) on road section 1, indicating its superior ability to model short-term fluctuations and non-linear growth in traffic volume. The study offers practical implications for traffic management by highlighting GRU’s capacity to capture seasonal trends and rapid growth, supporting proactive infrastructure planning and congestion mitigation strategies. These findings demonstrate the value of data-driven approaches in enhancing transportation systems in growing urban areas.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital mendorong sektor pariwisata untuk menyediakan layanan informasi yang lebih interaktif, mudah diakses, dan aman digunakan oleh masyarakat. Namun, platform wisata digital masih menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti munculnya ulasan spam, informasi yang kurang relevan, serta unggahan file yang berpotensi mengganggu keamanan sistem. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mendukung pemanfaatan platform wisata digital ARTour di Pantai Rio by The Beach, Lampung Selatan, Lampung, melalui pengembangan fitur keamanan dan pendampingan penggunaan aplikasi kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu identifikasi kebutuhan pengguna, perancangan solusi, pengembangan platform berbasis web dan mobile, pengujian sistem, serta sosialisasi dan pendampingan penggunaan aplikasi. Uji coba aplikasi dilakukan secara langsung di kawasan wisata Pantai Rio by The Beach, Lampung Selatan, untuk melihat fungsi dan kemudahan penggunaan aplikasi pada kondisi wisata nyata. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa platform ARTour mampu memberikan akses informasi wisata yang lebih interaktif dan mudah digunakan. Selain itu, fitur penyaringan ulasan membantu mengurangi munculnya spam, sedangkan validasi unggahan gambar meningkatkan keamanan konten pada aplikasi. Pengguna juga memberikan respons positif terhadap tampilan dan kemudahan penggunaan platform.

Abstract

Sustainable and child-friendly transportation is a critical issue in environmentally conscious and inclusive urban development; however, its understanding remains largely limited to adult populations. This community-based research aims to enhance early awareness of sustainable mobility through the implementation of the Green Child-Friendly Transportation Week at Sekolah Alam Lampung. The program was designed using an Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) framework, employing participatory, visual, and experiential learning approaches. The activities included interactive educational sessions, the use of innovative learning media, student mini-projects, and the active involvement of teachers as learning facilitators. Evaluation methods comprised pre-test and post-test assessments, observations, and teacher reflections. The results indicate a notable improvement in students’ understanding of green transportation concepts, the relationship between transportation modes and emissions, and the health risks associated with mobility. Student-generated mini-projects, such as educational posters, simple prototypes, and sketches of child-friendly transportation routes were found to enhance critical thinking skills, creativity, and context-based problem-solving abilities. Beyond student outcomes, the program also strengthened teachers’ capacity to integrate sustainable mobility themes into thematic school learning. Furthermore, dissemination through social media, video documentation, and online mass media expanded the program’s impact beyond the school community to the wider public. Overall, the findings demonstrate that experiential and visual-based educational approaches are effective in fostering sustainable mobility values and environmental awareness among school-aged children.
