Abstract

This study analyses the Jambi people's trust in the local government regarding the obligation to vaccinate against Covid-19. To make it easier for the public to access and complete voluntary questionnaires, one hundred respondents completed a survey using a Google form.  This study used a quantitative method with four independent variables that influence perceptions of responsiveness, perceptions of accountability, perceptions of transparency, and perceptions of usability. The findings of this study indicate that perceived responsiveness and transparency have a positive and significant influence in encouraging Jambi people's trust. The achievement of p-value perceived responsiveness (0.026) and perceived transparency (0.014) means that the results are supported and accepted. Meanwhile, the variables perceived accountability (0.284), and perceived usefulness (0.078) indicate that these two variables have no significant effect and are rejected. Local governments need to pay attention to perceptions of responsiveness and perceptions of transparency so that the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy can work and be well received by the community and does not become a paradox of public administration.

Abstract

This study examines how smart cities and sustainable policies build urban mobility. Research data from a highly reputable journal indexed by Scopus yielded 321 documents. The search criteria included the title-abs-key "urban mobility," document type "Article," subject area "Social Science," language "English," source type "Journal," and the exact keyword "urban mobility" for publications between 2019 and 2023. This research employed a qualitative approach with bibliometric analysis. Data analysis was conducted using VOSViewer and NVivo12 Plus software to visualise data in images and graphs. The research findings indicate that urban mobility is a pivotal consideration in urban development projects. The United States emerged with the highest focus on urban mobility, accounting for 47 publications, or 16% of the total. Recent research has particularly emphasised topics related to COVID-19, parking management, bicycle infrastructure, mobility services, mobility patterns, and sustainable urban planning, with a significant concentration in 2021. Notably, urban mobility initiatives have fostered collaboration, with a prominent partnership observed with Universidade de São Paulo (13 publications or 17%). These initiatives underscore the importance of establishing networks, groups, and services to advance the development of smart cities and sustainable urban policies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social movements of the Wadas community related to mining development in Wadas Village. Data sources were obtained by capturing news related to hashtags and at-signs, which Twitter social media users widely use to support resistance and rejection by Wadas people. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data analysis used the NVivo12 software application to visualize the data in graphs, images, and word frequency. The research findings show that the plan to build the Bener Dam in Purworejo District and Wonosobo Regency has experienced a very significant rejection with the circulation of two social movements on social media, Twitter, in the form of hashtags and at-signs as evidence of resistance to the mining project located in Wadas village. #Wadasmelawan is the most popular hashtag often echoed on Twitter social media with a percentage of 3.38%. The Wadas community social movement subsequently used at-sign @Ganjarpranowo, who is also highlighted in the public sphere and social media, is required to resolve mining conflicts due to permits Location Determination (IPL) for andesite mining from the Governor of Central Java Province. Two Wadas social movements using hashtags and at-signs invite a reasonably high response on Twitter users with as many as 89.34% tweets. This means that the community's resistance to mining in Wadas is very significant in getting support from the public.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of Social Status, Economic Status, Political Affiliation of Parents, and Organizational Experience on the Empty Box Discourse in the 2024 Maros Regency Regent Election. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through distributing questionnaires to the public in Maros Regency to explore the relationship between variables and the empty box phenomenon in implementing regional elections. Data processing was carried out with the help of SmartPLS software using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique. The results showed that the emergence of a single candidate in the 2024 Maros regional head election was caused by the community's lack of courage to run for office, which was influenced by the strong dominance of incumbent candidates. Furthermore, people's political participation in the election is analyzed through four main variables, all of which positively affect the empty box discourse. Thus, all hypotheses in this study are accepted.

Abstract

This study examines Covid-19 vaccination policies in the United States and China. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a literature study approach. This research sends research map information using export data to RIS Export file format, which is then processed using VOSviewers to determine the big data that will be analyzed to obtain comparative data results of this research with previous research. In the second discussion, the author processed the data using Nvivo 12 to explore and describe the COVID-19 vaccination Policy in the United States and China to explain the data efficiently. This study found that the United States and China showed a strong government response to control the spread of COVID-19. The findings suggest that countries with effective vaccination policies tend to be more successful in curbing the spread of COVID-19 than countries without vaccination programs. Governments in both countries have implemented various policies to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19, such as lockdowns, social distancing, quarantine, and vaccination policies. The vaccination policy in the United States and China is successful because the vaccination presence in the two countries is fairly high, with the United States reaching 73.65% while China reaching 87.24%.
