Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the application of creative concepts at the 33rd Ilusman 3 Medan reunion event in 2023. This research method involves a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. This research also involves analysis of documentation and direct observation of the reunion event that has been carried out. The results showed that the application of creative concepts in the 33rd Ilusman 3 Medan event in 2023 contributed positively to the diversity and creativity of the event. A more memorable and satisfying experience, with more dynamic visual aspects, content presentation, and reunion atmosphere. The application of creative concepts also strengthens the emotional and nostalgic bond of participants to the alma mater or alumni group of SMA Negeri 3 Medan, which is fully supported by live streaming on Youtube and Zoom Meetings. Thus the interaction between participants becomes more in-depth and active participation in creative activities takes place. In addition, creative concepts poured both offline or on the stage and online or into live streaming also create a positive impact on the image and identity of the reunion organizers, creating an impression of professionalism and innovation towards the response of modern dynamics that lead to the development of digital technology. By utilizing creative elements. The creative elements implemented have gone through the stages of the design process and neat infrastructure design. Thus the reunion event can be more dynamic, relevant, and able to create a unique and memorable experience for the participants. The results showed that using creative aspects visually can create an evocative atmosphere during the event. In addition, the creative aspects applied in live streaming can certainly increase the attractiveness of an event.

Abstract

In the digital era, video editing skills have become an essential competency for teachers to enhance the learning process. These skills enable teachers to create more interactive and engaging educational videos. However, not all teachers possess adequate video editing abilities. Therefore, this training activity aimed to improve the video editing skills of teachers at SMP Citra Harapan using the CapCut application. The training was conducted through a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, encompassing three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results indicated that all participants enthusiastically participated in the training, effectively understood the materials, and successfully applied video editing skills in practice. This training is expected to support teachers in producing more effective and creative educational videos.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada perancangan buku ilustrasi yang mengisahkan legenda Putri Pukes, sebuah cerita rakyat dari Aceh yang kaya akan nilai budaya dan moral. Tujuan utama dari perancangan ini adalah untuk menciptakan media edukatif yang menarik bagi anak-anak dan remaja serta membantu melestarikan warisan budaya lokal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mencakup studi literatur, wawancara dengan ahli budaya, dan observasi lapangan di lokasi terkait cerita. Tahapan desain melibatkan pembuatan sketsa awal, pengembangan storyboard, pemilihan palet warna, dan finalisasi ilustrasi menggunakan teknik digital. Buku ilustrasi ini dirancang dengan beberapa halaman yang didukung oleh gambar-gambar yang memperkuat narasi. Selain itu, buku ini juga menyertakan informasi singkat mengenai latar belakang budaya dan nilai-nilai moral dalam cerita. Hasil pengujian awal terhadap target audiens menunjukkan tanggapan yang positif, khususnya dalam hal visualisasi karakter dan alur cerita. Harapannya, buku ilustrasi ini dapat menjadi sarana yang efektif untuk memperkenalkan dan melestarikan cerita legenda Putri Pukes kepada generasi muda.

Abstract

This research aims to design an attractive and innovative branding of a beach, the historical beach of Batu Bara is located in Perupuk village, Fifty coastal district, Batu Bara. This historical beach was the first stop and defense of the Japanese army in 1940. However, there are still many people who do not know about the existence of this beach because access to this tourist spot is still quite inadequate, such as poor roads, poor facilities, there is still extortion on this beach, lack of promotional media through social media. For this reason, the purpose of branding Pantai Sejarah Batu Bara is to create an identity, corporate image and awareness of the target audience. Data collection is done through the process of observation and interviews, while the data analysis method used is SWOT analysis and brainstorming and distribution of questionnaires to the public. Effective media in branding this Coal History Beach include handbooks, Instagram feeds, brochures, billboards, merchandise.

Abstract

The limited accessibility to physical art galleries and the lack of comprehensive documentation of exhibitions have become challenges in preserving and promoting visual art in academic settings. Particularly in the Fine Arts Education Program at Universitas Negeri Medan (Unimed), the physical gallery space has yet to accommodate wider audience engagement, especially in digital formats. This creates a gap between the potential of technological integration and the current practices in art exhibition and education. Addressing this issue, this study aims to explore the digitalization of the Fine Arts Gallery through the development of a virtual tour as an effort to increase accessibility and improve exhibition documentation. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, focusing on the process of designing and implementing a 360-degree virtual gallery experience. Data were collected through observations, interviews with lecturers, students, and gallery visitors, and open-ended surveys to capture perceptions and experiences. The findings reveal that the virtual tour not only provides broader access to art exhibitions beyond physical limitations but also enhances the visual and archival quality of gallery content. Furthermore, users perceive the platform as more engaging and educational. In conclusion, the digitalization of the gallery using virtual tour technology serves as a strategic innovation to support art learning, appreciation, and preservation in higher education. This approach may serve as a replicable model for other academic institutions seeking to modernize their art exhibition practices.
