Abstract

Understanding abstract mathematics is often a challenge for students, which can affect their overall mastery of the material. This study aims to analyze the influence of students' creativity and activeness on understanding abstract material in the MI Mathematics course at FITK UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Using an explanatory quantitative approach, data were collected through a creativity questionnaire and activeness observation. The population consisted of 120 6th-semester students, with a sample of 86 students selected through a purposive sampling technique. The analysis was carried out using a two-way ANOVA test to identify the influence of each variable. The results of the study showed that: (1) creativity has a significant effect on understanding abstract material, (2) activeness also has a significant effect on understanding abstract material, and (3) the interaction between the two has a positive impact on understanding abstract mathematics.

Abstract

The Love-Based Curriculum integrates values of compassion, character formation, and Islamic spirituality into all learning activities. This study was conducted to examine how the concept of local wisdom is applied within the context being investigated and scientific knowledge through the use of locally based learning materials within the Love-Based Curriculum implemented in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Using a qualitative approach through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and the examination of relevant documents, this research explores how teachers develop and utilize learning materials derived from local cultural contexts to enhance students’ understanding of scientific concepts. The findings indicate that local-based materials significantly increase student engagement, foster appreciation for regional culture, and strengthen the connection between scientific knowledge and local wisdom values. Furthermore, the integration with the Love-Based Curriculum supports the development of students’ moral character, environmental awareness, and contextual understanding of their surroundings. Thus, the incorporation of local wisdom in learning contributes positively to students’ intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Islamic values and scientific knowledge through a love based curriculum approach in the development of learning materials for elementary school students. A curriculum grounded in the principle of love emphasizes compassion, empathy, and holistic character formation as fundamental elements in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to analyze how a curriculum inspired by love can support the spiritual, emotional, and intellectual development of learners, and how Islamic principles such as compassion, justice, and wisdom can be incorporated in a structured way into instructional content. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by reviewing various literature sources, curriculum models, and practical applications in elementary school settings. The findings show that an Islamic curriculum based on love can strengthen student engagement, enhance moral awareness, and create a positive classroom environment that makes learning more meaningful and humanistic. The integration of scientific knowledge with Islamic perspectives also helps students understand knowledge in a complete and valuable way. This approach enriches academic comprehension and nurtures learners into empathetic individuals with strong ethical awareness. Overall, the study highlights the importance of curriculum innovation that unifies Islamic teachings, scientific literacy, and affective development to support comprehensive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pendidikan dasar memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk kemampuan intelektual, emosional, dan spiritual peserta didik. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), sebagai lembaga pendidikan dasar berbasis Islam, dituntut tidak hanya untuk menyampaikan pengetahuan, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan religius. Penelitian ini membahas penerapan deep learning dalam konteks Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta (KBC) sebagai upaya menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna, reflektif, dan menyenangkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah terkait pedagogi Islam, strategi pembelajaran mendalam, dan integrasi nilai cinta dalam pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa deep learning memungkinkan peserta didik berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan mampu menghubungkan materi pelajaran dengan pengalaman nyata. Integrasi Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta mendukung pengembangan karakter, empati, serta toleransi, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang harmonis dan humanis. Pendekatan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendidikan yang seimbang antara aspek kognitif, afektif, dan spiritual dalam membentuk generasi abad ke-21.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Islamic educational institutions, the deep learning approach, and a curriculum based on love on the development of teaching materials in elementary schools. Islamic education plays a foundational role in shaping students' character through the internalization of religious, moral, and social values. However, current learning practices in many elementary schools still focus mainly on textual materials and have not fully addressed the holistic development of students. The concept of a love-based curriculum is seen as an innovative approach that emphasizes love, empathy, and role modeling, which can create a more humane and meaningful learning environment. Meanwhile, deep learning contributes to enhancing students' critical thinking, collaborative, and contextual skills. This research uses a literature study method by analyzing relevant primary and secondary sources on Islamic education, deep learning, love-based curriculum, and the development of teaching materials. The findings show that integrating these three aspects has strategic potential in creating deeper, more holistic, and student-centered learning experiences that meet the developmental needs of children, while also strengthening their character and spirituality in elementary schools.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the application of local wisdom values ​​in the Love-Based Curriculum at Islamic Elementary Schools (MI) as a strategy for building character, strengthening cultural identity, and strengthening humanity-oriented education. The Love-Based Curriculum focuses on the values ​​of compassion, empathy, social responsibility, and respect for diversity, which are integrated into all subject areas. The integration of cultural and local elements serves to increase the connection between education and the realities of students' lives. This study is compiled based on research findings regarding the implementation of the Love Curriculum at MI Al-Islah Palembang and research related to local wisdom-based learning at Islamic Elementary Schools. The results of the analysis indicate that the application of love values ​​and local wisdom makes a positive contribution to character formation, increasing learning motivation, and strengthening students' cultural identity. The main challenges lie in the limited availability of learning tools, the need for teacher training, and adequate policy support.

Abstract

This study was designed to describe how the teaching of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) is implemented based on the Merdeka Curriculum using a Love-Based Curriculum approach at SD Negeri 158 Palembang. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving direct observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. The findings show that teachers conducted IPAS learning through active interaction, supported by visual aids, exploratory activities, and reflective discussions that were contextualized with students’ daily lives. The Love-Based Curriculum approach was evident in human-centered teaching practices, including empathetic communication, positive reinforcement, the creation of a psychologically safe environment, and respect for diverse learning styles. This approach proved effective in increasing students’ motivation, curiosity, and socio-emotional skills. However, challenges included limited access to digital media and difficulties faced by teachers in adapting to instructional strategies aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. Ultimately, the integration of IPAS with the Love-Based Curriculum resulted in meaningful, holistic learning experiences focused on character development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and improve the quality of Social Studies (IPS) instruction at SD Negeri 04 Palembang by integrating interactive learning media and collaborative teaching strategies, especially in the “Map Layout” topic for fifth-grade students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the researchers gathered data through document analysis, conversations with teachers and students, as well as direct observation of learning activities. The findings show that the use of visual learning tools, cooperative group work, and contextual tasks related to students’ everyday environments helps make Social Studies lessons more engaging and meaningful. Simple interactive materials such as illustrated school layouts were shown to increase students’ participation and strengthen their understanding of spatial concepts. Overall, the integration of interactive media with collaborative learning approaches contributes to a more dynamic classroom atmosphere, supports deeper conceptual comprehension, and enhances students’ motivation to learn. This approach demonstrates strong potential for improving IPS learning outcomes in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the teaching process of Social Studies (IPS) in third-grade elementary school through direct observation. The method used involved an observation sheet designed in accordance with the research objectives to collect information on teacher and student activities, the teaching approach applied, and the use of teaching materials. The research findings revealed that although students were less actively involved, the lecture technique was still the main method in teaching Social Studies in third-grade elementary school. However, the practice of interactive instructional strategies, such as group discussions, the effective use of suitable instructional media is believed to enhance learners’ participation and foster greater motivation in the learning process. Furthermore, a harmonious interaction between educators and students also plays a role in establishing a supportive and comfortable learning atmosphere. The main obstacles include limited teaching materials and limited learning time. This study concludes that teaching Social Studies at the elementary school level needs to utilize a variety of interesting techniques and teaching materials to increase learning efficiency and foster student interest. These results provide useful empirical data as a basis for evaluating and improving Social Studies teaching in third-grade elementary school, so that it is more appropriate to the characteristics and needs of students.

Abstract

Perkembangan pendidikan abad ke-21 mendorong Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) untuk beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi tanpa meninggalkan nilai-nilai humanis dan spiritual dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep integrasi pembelajaran blended learning dalam kurikulum berbasis cinta sebagai model pendidikan inovatif di MI. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis melalui telaah buku, artikel ilmiah, dan dokumen resmi yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa blended learning mampu meningkatkan fleksibilitas, kemandirian, serta keterlibatan belajar siswa, sementara kurikulum berbasis cinta berperan dalam menumbuhkan nilai kasih sayang, empati, spiritualitas, serta membangun hubungan guru siswa yang hangat dan humanis. Integrasi keduanya memungkinkan terciptanya proses pembelajaran yang seimbang antara aspek digital dan emosional spiritual. Namun, implementasinya masih menghadapi hambatan seperti keterbatasan kompetensi guru dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran digital, akses sarana teknologi, dan belum adanya model kurikulum berbasis cinta yang terstruktur. Kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara inovasi teknologi dan nilai-nilai Islami agar pendidikan di MI tetap relevan, humanis, dan berkarakter pada era digital.
