Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peningkatan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan melalui permainan maze peta pada anak usia 4–5 tahun di PAUD Pembina 1 Kota Ternate. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 1 orang guru kelas A dan 10 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, permainan maze peta terbukti efektif dalam membantu anak mengenal konsep lambang bilangan. Penerapan pembelajaran dilakukan melalui beberapa indikator sebagai berikut: 1) Mengenal angka 1-10, guru mengajak anak-anak bernyanyi sambil menghitung menggunakan jari-jari tangan. Selanjutnya, guru memperkenalkan permainan maze peta yang memuat angka-angka sebagai sarana untuk mengenal konsep bilangan. Untuk anak yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menghitung, guru menerapkan metode menghitung jumlah anak dimulai dari diri sendiri. Metode ini membuat pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan dan disukai oleh anak. 2) Menyebut urutan bilangan, guru menuliskan angka di papan tulis dan mengajak anak-anak menyebutkan angka 1-10 secara bersama-sama. Bila terdapat anak yang belum bisa menyebutkan urutan bilangan dengan benar, guru akan memberikan pertanyaan ulang untuk membantu pemahaman anak-anak. 3) Mencocokkan angka 1-10 dengan benda, guru menggunakan permainan maze peta yang menampilkan angka 1-10 yang ditempatkan di perahu dan pulau. Anak diminta mencocokkan angka dengan benda yang sesuai. Aktivitas ini menarik minat anak dan membantu anak-anak memahami hubungan antara angka dan objek. 4) Menghubungkan konsep dengan lambang bilangan, melalui permainan maze peta, guru membantu anak menghubungkan konsep bilangan dengan lambangnya. Setiap perahu dan pulau diberi angka 1-10. Anak diminta maju ke depan, mengambil perahu, dan mencari jalan menuju pulau yang memiliki angka yang sama. Aktivitas ini memungkinkan anak mengaitkan konsep bilangan dengan simbol angkanya secara menyenangkan dan bermakna.

Abstract

Early childhood educators, especially in faith-based institutions, need to have a deep understanding of children's spirituality in order to design and respond to spiritual experiences that arise spontaneously. This study aimed to explore the personal insights and experiences of educators regarding spirituality, as well as their understanding and approaches in fostering spirituality among young children. A qualitative research design was employed, guided by three key questions. The sample included nine educators from a faith-based early childhood program in Kudus, Central Java, specifically involved with 3 and 4-year-olds in class A, which consisted of three classes. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings indicated that the personal insights and experiences of educators play a pivotal role in boosting children's spirituality. Consequently, there are significant opportunities to support educators in their own development and to provide relevant information regarding children's spirituality. Based on the findings, it is suggested that to effectively nurture children's spirituality, educators should cultivate their own sense of personal spirituality, which entails having experienced spiritual events in their own lives essentially spiritual formation. Additionally, educators must possess the knowledge and skills to reflect on their spirituality and effectively integrate these experiences with their early childhood teaching methodologies in order to create meaningful spiritual opportunities for children. The study recommends enhancing the competencies of educators in promoting the spirituality of young children. This research contributes valuable insights into the understanding of spirituality within religious-affiliated early childhood education settings.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of "moving schools" in improving the quality of education. This research is a descriptive qualitative type with interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. Researchers conducted participant observations of principals and teachers at Janeta Weleri Kindergarten and Muslimat NU 06 Lanji Kindergarten with research subjects there were 2 principals and 4 teachers. The results showed that the Principal of TK Janeta Weleri and TK Muslimat NU 06 Lanji as Leaders in schools were able to become the locomotive of change in schools. Learning is planned according to students' abilities and various activities are expected can make students comfortable and happy when learning at school.
