Abstract

Teachers are a crucial element that cannot be overlooked in the teaching and learning process, as they can determine the success or failure of that process. Therefore, in the process of education and instruction, it is essential to have qualified teachers. This means that, in addition to mastering the subject matter and teaching methods, teachers must also understand the fundamentals of education. These educational foundations are extremely important for teachers to know in carrying out their noble duties as instructors or educators. They serve as a means to inspire and motivate students in their learning process. Even if a teacher has excellent mastery of the subject matter, without knowledge of didactic factors, it can create obstacles for students in understanding what the teacher is conveying. On the other hand, teaching experience can actually make it easier for teachers to deliver lessons effectively, especially when supported by the use of appropriate and well-applied teaching methods.

Abstract

Purpose - This study evaluates the management of facilities and infrastructure, a crucial component for learning quality in public primary schools. Persistent issues like inadequate facilities and weak maintenance prompted an in-depth examination of facility management at SDN Gambiran 01 Jember. The study aims to assess how facilities are planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet institutional needs.Design/methods/approach – A qualitative case study approach was used. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Participants, including the school principal, teachers, and administrative staff involved in facility management, were purposively selected.Findings – Facility planning and procurement are conducted in a participatory, needs-based manner, aligning with regulations. However, utilization and maintenance face challenges due to budget limitations, lack of technical personnel, and limited technology use. A culture of cooperation and adaptive leadership emerged as key supporting factors.Research implications/limitations – The study is limited by its focus on a single institution and reliance on qualitative data. Implications highlight the need for targeted technical training for elementary school staff and developing data-driven evaluation systems to inform long-term educational policy.

Abstract

Konflik merupakan fenomena sosial yang tidak dapat dihindari, muncul akibat perbedaan kepentingan, distribusi sumber daya, maupun benturan nilai. Kajian mengenai resolusi konflik menjadi penting karena konflik yang tidak terkelola dapat mengancam stabilitas sosial, politik, bahkan perdamaian. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana penelitian terdahulu mengkategorikan sumber konflik dan tingkatan konflik dalam berbagai konteks sosial, budaya, dan keagamaan. Pertanyaan penelitian yang diajukan adalah: Bagaimana penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya mengidentifikasi sumber dan tingkatan konflik? Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan menelusuri artikel melalui database nasional dan internasional menggunakan kata kunci “sumber konflik” dan “tingkatan konflik”. Dari 22 artikel awal, diperoleh 12 artikel yang relevan untuk dianalisis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sumber konflik dapat dikategorikan ke dalam faktor struktural (ketidakadilan sosial, agraria), kultural (perbedaan agama, etnis), serta interpersonal (hubungan antarindividu di sekolah). Sementara itu, tingkatan konflik terbagi atas level interpersonal, kelompok, dan struktural. Strategi resolusi bervariasi, mulai dari pendekatan kultural, pendidikan multikultural, hingga diplomasi internasional. Kesimpulannya, konflik merupakan fenomena multidimensi yang menuntut strategi resolusi berbasis konteks. Sintesis ini berkontribusi bagi akademisi dalam pengembangan teori konflik dan bagi praktisi sebagai acuan dalam intervensi resolusi konflik. Riset selanjutnya dapat difokuskan pada pengembangan model analisis konflik yang lebih adaptif terhadap perubahan sosial dan budaya.
