Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of time flexibility in the implementation of online-based learning on student academic performance in the Management Study Program, State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU). This study adopts a quantitative approach as the main method. Data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires were distributed to active students as respondents. The data obtained were then analyzed using simple linear regression techniques to illustrate the relationship between the level of flexibility of study time and student academic achievement. The results of the analysis show that the flexibility of study time has no significant effect on student learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.315 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.027. This finding indicates that flexibility of study time is not enough to improve learning outcomes without being supported by time management skills, discipline, and learning independence. Therefore, effective online learning strategies need to be accompanied by soft skills training so that learning outcomes can be optimized. Future research is expected to integrate mediating variables such as self-regulated learning, learning motivation, and quality of learning environment to gain a deeper understanding of the determinants in the context of online learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted to understand the relationship between the suitability of product quality and influencer advertising by Tasya Farasya on consumer satisfaction with skincare products. A quantitative approach was used, employing the Chi-Square test method to examine the significance of the relationship between two categorical variables: product quality suitability (suitable or not suitable) and consumer satisfaction (satisfied or not satisfied). The primary data was obtained through a survey distributed to 30 consumers of skincare products who follow influencer Tasya Farasya on social media. The analysis results show a strong correlation between product quality suitability and the level of consumer satisfaction. When the product quality meets expectations, consumers tend to experience higher satisfaction. The Chi-Square test resulted in a significance value of 0.004, which is lower than 0.05, indicating a significant effect. Both variables show a notable relationship. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the quality of products promoted by influencers plays an important role in shaping consumer perception, and consumer satisfaction is influenced by the quality of the skincare products they use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the spending patterns of students at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU), and to examine the implementation of personal financial planning in their daily lives. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 40 students from various departments and semesters, selected purposively. The findings indicate that most students have high expenditures on consumption needs such as food and internet access, as well as lifestyle expenses like online shopping and entertainment. The majority do not regularly prepare a financial budget, rarely record their expenses, and exhibit impulsive spending behavior influenced by social pressure and digital media. Although students possess theoretical knowledge of Islamic economic values, their practical application in financial management remains limited. This study recommends the need for more practical, Islam-based financial literacy programs within the FEBI UINSU environment. Financial training and mentoring programs are considered essential to enhance students' financial awareness and independence.
