Abstract

The program of utilizing organic waste as compost to improve agricultural productivity in Semare Village aims to reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers by utilizing organic waste as an environmentally friendly fertilizer. This program involves the local community in waste segregation and composting training, which can be used to improve soil quality and agricultural yields. Despite facing challenges such as limited infrastructure and resources, this program successfully raised environmental awareness, empowered the community, and improved agricultural productivity sustainably. With active community participation, the program has the potential to reduce waste in Semare Village and create new economic opportunities.

Abstract

Community empowerment through the management of inorganic waste in Trewung Village, Grati Pasuruan, aims to create sustainable ecological development while improving the local economy. This program involves collaboration between the Supporting Team and the village community to manage plastic waste through sorting, Ecobrick and paving block production, and the development of a medicinal plant garden. This process not only reduces waste volume but also adds economic value through recycled products. The program has provided significant benefits, particularly for housewives, by increasing household income and strengthening the local economy. The results show that community-based waste management can create a cleaner, healthier environment while opening sustainable economic opportunities for the people of Trewung Village.

Abstract

This community service project focuses on addressing the issue of limited agricultural land and the need for efficient farming solutions in Bangsri Village. The main objective is to improve the economic independence of the community through the implementation of hydroponic technology, enabling them to cultivate crops in limited spaces. The approach used is Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), which empowers the local community by utilizing existing resources. The project involves training, providing necessary equipment, and offering ongoing assistance in maintaining and harvesting the crops. The results indicate a significant increase in crop yields and economic benefits for participating households. Additionally, the community has gained new skills in hydroponic farming, enhancing both food security and income. This initiative has shown promising outcomes in enhancing agricultural productivity and economic sustainability in the village

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan kertas meningkat dari tahun ke tahun dengan nilai kebutuhan 13,4 juta ton pada tahun 2014. Berdasarkan hal tersebut penelitian bahan baku pembuatan pulp yang murah terus dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menganalisa potensi daun pinus sebagai bahan pembuatan pulp melalui 3 tahapan proses yaitu, tahap persiapan bahan, proses pulping dan dilanjutkan dengan tahapan analisa kadar selulosa. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rendemen pulp tertinggi sebesar 57,14 % dengan kandungan selulosa dalam pulp sebesar 59,14 %. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa secara linier konsentrsi NaOH mempengaruhi kadar selulosa pada pulp dengan tingkat kepercayaan 18,79. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa daun pinus berpotensi untuk dijadikan bahan baku dalam pembuatan pulp

Abstract

Biodisel merupakan bahan bakar terbarukan yang memiliki karakteristik yang menyerupai disel konvensional pada umunya. Dari berbagai penelitian menyatakan bahwa biodisel ini merupakan bahan bakar yang dapat diperoleh dari limbah jelantah. Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana pengaruh perolehan alkil ester atau biodisel secara penelitian dan perhitungan untuk mengetahui tingat efektifitas dari biodisel yang dihasilkan. Hasilnya efektifitas biodisel penelitian ini hanya 43,8% dengan yield 30%. Penelitian ini juga menganalisa kondisi reaksi transesterifikasi pada metanol berlebih atau pada jelantah berlebih untuk mengetahui pengarunya terhadap perolehan biodisel
