Abstract

Landslide that has done in the Chevron, Minas oil field area on 4A-54 pipeline section, resulted the failure at one of pipe supports of 12in and 8in pipe diameter. The Action is planned to remove pipe support number 2 which affected a landslide, and move pipe supports number 1 and 3 that is closer to pipe support number 2. For this reason, action is being taken to redesign the piping system so that the pipe line can function safely. Allowable piping design criteria are used based on the maximum distance between pipe supports and maximum stress based on ASME B31.3 standards not greater than 20,000 Psi. Based on the calculation results, the allowable maximum distance between 12 in pipe supports is 16.064 m. Base on stress simulation, the maximum combined tension and torsion stress on the pipeline at that distance is 17606.44 Psi, 12% less than the allowable stress. The combine stress in the pipe produce displacement of pipe in the x-axis direction of 0.074 m and -0.95o.

Abstract

This article focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in the teaching of ESP with emphasis on the students’ perception. It emphasizes on the increasing importance of English language in the world and how the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in education makes learning more effective. This research adopts a quantitative research approach that involved the use of questionnaires distributed to engineering students and English lecturers in a university in Indonesia. The results suggest that young students have positive attitude towards integration of AI in their learning while the older students have either mixed or negative attitude. The study also shows that there are stark variations in how useful AI is considered across the different engineering disciplines. This study implies that although the use of AI in ESP teaching and learning enhances students’ learning engagement and achievement, AI has to be implemented in a way that considers students’ demographic characteristics and learning requirements. The study calls for more research to improve the use of AI in learning environments and to help learners meet market requirements.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) implemented in Malaysia has opened up opportunities for international collaboration in developing information technology (IT) innovations to support the digital transformation of cooperatives in higher education settings. This activity underscored the importance of adapting technology to cooperative management systems to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability. Through a pilot study of digital cooperative models such as ANGKASA in Malaysia, participants gained insights into the implementation of integrated application-based information systems, the use of big data in membership management, and the optimization of digital platforms for financial reporting. The results of this activity demonstrated that the adoption of IT technology in Indonesian higher education cooperatives can strengthen institutional competitiveness, accelerate service processes, and increase active member participation. This PKM also reflects that the synergy between technological innovation and higher education-based cooperative governance is a strategic step towards modern and competitive cooperatives in the ASEAN digital era.
