Abstract

Qira'ah ability (reading Arabic text) is a basic competency for students of the Arabic Language Education (PBA) study program at Makassar State University (UNM). However, the limitations of conventional learning methods often hinder the improvement of this ability. Therefore, this study aims to optimize qira'ah ability through the Daurah Nahwiyah Digital program based on interactive technology. This study uses qualitative methods through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of interactive technology in Daurah Nahwiyah Digital is effective in improving students' understanding of nahwu rules and improving reading skills. Thus, the integration of technology in qira'ah learning can be a solution in improving the competence of PBA UNM students in understanding and reading Arabic texts.

Abstract

AbstractDeveloping maharatul kalam (the ability to speak Arabic) is very important in the digital era to form individual students who are able to communicate effectively in local and global contexts. This research aims to analyze the approaches, methods and implications of developing digital-based maharatul kalam at MA Palapa Nusantara NW Lombok. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and document study. The research results show that communicative and technology-based approaches have a significant influence in improving students' speaking skills. Methods such as role play, online discussions, and the use of Arabic learning applications are effective in motivating students to be more active and confident in speaking. In addition, digital technology allows students to study independently through online platforms, such as YouTube, Zoom, and language learning applications. The implication of this research is the need to integrate technology in the Arabic language learning curriculum and strengthen students' digital literacy. With the right approach and methods, developing maharatul kalam not only improves students' speaking skills, but also forms a generation that is adaptive and competent in facing global challenges.Keywords: Development, Maharatul Kalam and Digital Based.

Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses the development of bi’ah lughawiyah as a strategy to strengthen maharah al-kalam for students and lecturers of the Arabic Language Education Study Program (PBA) of Makassar State University (UNM). The background of this research is the need to create a conducive Arabic language environment to encourage communicative speaking skills, both in academic and non-academic contexts. The method used is a descriptive conceptual approach with analysis and enrichment of initial observation results in the PBA UNM environment. The results of the study indicate that the development of bi’ah lughawiyah is effective if designed through three ecological layers: 1) the micro level in the form of task-based language teaching in the classroom and the use of targeted translanguaging, 2) the meso level in the form of co-curricular activities such as Arabic Day, debate clubs, and Lughah Corner, and 3) the macro level in the form of study program policies that regulate the use of Arabic among lecturers. This model is able to improve students’ fluency, accuracy, and confidence, while strengthening lecturers’ competence. This article emphasizes that the development of bi'ah lughawiyah is not only cultural, but also strategic in building an academic culture and developing the maharah al-kalam of Arabic at PBA UNM.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of teachers in Arabic language learning at MA Palapa Nusantara NW Selebung Lombok. The role of teachers is very crucial in creating an effective, efficient and enjoyable learning process, especially in the context of Arabic language learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers play various strategic roles, namely as learning planners, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators. Teachers also play a role in developing contextual learning strategies that are appropriate to local conditions and student characteristics. Despite limited facilities and infrastructure, teachers continue to strive to innovate in teaching Arabic through the use of simple media and communicative approaches. These findings emphasize the importance of improving pedagogical competence and teacher professionalism in order to improve the quality of Arabic language learning. This study provides implications for policies to improve teacher quality and develop local-based curricula that support optimal Arabic language learning.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to optimize the Arabic speaking skills of students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Makassar State University through the application of roleplay media. Speaking ability is one of the productive skills that requires intensive practice, a communicative atmosphere, and contextual learning media. This research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design model. The results of the study indicate that the use of roleplay media can increase students' activeness, courage, and fluency in speaking Arabic. These findings indicate that roleplay-based learning is effective in learning Arabic speaking skills because it provides a real and interactive communicative experience.

Abstract

Abstract: Students' Arabic writing skills still face various obstacles, particularly in the application of the rules of formal pronunciation (qawa'id al-imla') such as the writing of hamzah, alif layyinah, and unpronounced letters. This problem is caused by learning methods that are still conventional and do not utilize interactive media. This community service activity aims to improve the accuracy of students' Arabic writing through training in the use of Augmented Reality (AR) media. The implementation method includes the stages of identifying needs, training in the use of AR media, AR-based learning practices, and intensive mentoring. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding and accuracy of writing, marked by a reduction in errors in aspects of the rules of imla'. In addition, students showed a positive response to the use of AR media, which was considered more interesting, interactive, and facilitated the understanding of abstract concepts. Thus, the use of AR media in imla' learning has proven effective as an innovation in improving the quality of Arabic language learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of educational technology in teaching i‘rāb at Dar at-Taklim Islamic Junior High School, Tangar, East Lombok, focusing on three main aspects: the forms of technology utilization in i‘rāb instruction, teachers’ strategies in integrating digital media into the learning process, and its contribution to the development of students’ mahārah al-qirā’ah (reading skills). This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of instructional documents. The data were systematically analyzed to identify patterns of technology integration, teachers’ pedagogical strategies, and their influence on students’ understanding of Arabic grammatical structures and reading proficiency.The findings reveal that the use of educational technology, such as Arabic language learning applications, interactive presentations, instructional videos, and online learning resources, creates a more interactive and contextual learning environment. Teachers implemented various strategies, including the visualization of i‘rāb rules, digital-based exercises, and the use of audiovisual media to facilitate students’ comprehension of Arabic grammatical structures. Furthermore, the integration of technology in i‘rāb instruction was found to contribute positively to enhancing student engagement, mastery of Arabic grammar, and the ability to read Arabic texts more accurately while achieving deeper comprehension of the content. This study highlights the importance of developing technology-based i‘rāb instructional models as a pedagogical innovation to improve mahārah al-qirā’ah at the junior secondary level within Islamic educational institutions.
