Abstract

In the banking system, collateral serves as a crucial tool for protecting creditors and ensuring debtors fulfill their obligations, particularly in transactions involving valuable assets like property. This study aims to analyze the implementation of collateral in the Musyārakah Mutanāqiṣah Contract on the Hijrah Home Ownership product at Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI) Makassar Branch and to evaluate the suitability of the application of collateral in housing financing through the Musyārakah Mutanāqiṣah Contract with Islamic economic principles. This study is included in the category of field research by implementing descriptive qualitative research procedures and using phenomenological and juridical-normative approaches. This study was conducted using four data collection techniques, namely participant observation, structured interviews, documentation, and literature review. This study’s data analysis involved the collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing of conclusions. Data validity testing was carried out by triangulating data sources and triangulating theories. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of collateral in the Musyārakah mutanāqiṣah contract at the Bank Muamalat Indonesia Makassar branch effectively provides legal protection for the bank against the risk of default while maintaining the balance of customer rights through a transparent and fair process. The use of collateral in the Musyārakah mutanāqiṣah (MMQ) contract at Bank Muamalat Makassar is also in line with Islamic economics’ five principles, which are fairness, trustworthiness, security, prosperity, and brotherhood. This study is expected to provide new contributions in the field of Islamic economics, especially in the context of the implementation of the MMQ contract in Islamic banking at the local and national levels.

Abstract

In Arabic language education, writing remains one of the most underdeveloped yet essential skills, particularly for non-native learners who often excel in grammar drills but struggle to produce coherent and expressive texts. This study explores the role of Ibda’ Magazine as an authentic, student-centered platform to enhance Arabic writing skills and literacy among 60 third-year Tsanawiyah students at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah. Using a qualitative descriptive design, the research draws on thematic analysis of student writings, classroom observations, and semi-structured interviews with both learners and instructors. The findings reveal significant improvement in students' vocabulary use, grammatical accuracy, narrative coherence, and stylistic expression. Additionally, learners reported increased confidence, motivation, and a deeper sense of ownership over their Arabic writing. The study affirms that culturally relevant, print-based media can serve as powerful pedagogical tools in bridging the gap between formal instruction and meaningful language practice, offering new pathways for Arabic writing development in Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

Adolescent glue addiction is a deviant behavior that adversely affects not only adolescents but also their parents, often leading to severe psychological distress. This study aims to explore the psychological conditions of parents with glue-addicted children, focusing on emotional strain and parental guilt. Employing a qualitative narrative approach, the research involved four parents from Kerinci Regency, Jambi, whose children exhibited glue addiction behaviors. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that parents experience considerable psychological distress, with emotional strain manifesting as stress, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and feelings of hopelessness. Parental guilt is reflected in self-blame, perceived failure in parenting, and prolonged internal conflict. These psychological challenges negatively influence parents’ daily functioning and their relationships with their children. The study underscores the need for psychological support, particularly family counseling that incorporates supportive and narrative approaches, to assist in emotional regulation, enhance parent–child communication, and restore parental self-efficacy. Overall, the findings provide a basis for developing guidance and counseling programs that integrate family-centered interventions in addressing adolescent addiction cases.

Abstract

Mastering a foreign language requires not only memorization but also overcoming deeply ingrained linguistic habits. For Banjar learners studying Arabic, phonological and grammatical challenges pose significant barriers to fluency. This study explores the phonological and grammatical errors encountered by Banjar learners in Arabic speaking skills at Pesantren Darullughah Wadda'wah Putri. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, it identifies the prevalent types of errors, their underlying causes, and potential pedagogical strategies for improvement. The findings reveal significant phonological issues, including substitutions of Arabic phonemes influenced by the Banjar dialect, as well as grammatical inconsistencies due to overgeneralization and limited exposure to authentic Arabic structures. The study highlights native language interference, lack of phonetic training, and psychological barriers, such as fear of criticism, as primary causes of these challenges. Proposed solutions include intensive phonetic drills, immersive language environments, context-based grammar instruction, and the integration of cultural and technological resources. This research contributes to Arabic language pedagogy by providing targeted strategies to enhance the proficiency of Banjar learners, bridging linguistic gaps while respecting their cultural identity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the role of the principal in implementing Islamic Transformative Leadership to encourage curriculum innovation at SMPN 4 Bangil, Pasuruan, while also emphasizing its significant contributions and implications for the development of character-based, innovative Islamic education. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used to gain a comprehensive understanding through in-depth interviews and direct observation over two months (February-March 2025). The study participants consisted of the principal and 10 teachers, who were purposively selected based on their experience, active involvement, and knowledge of the innovation process in the school. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and documentation of school activities, and then analyzed thematically to identify patterns and relationships between Islamic leadership strategies, organizational culture, and the success of curriculum innovation. The results show that the principal plays a central role as an inspiration, role model, and motivator in instilling Islamic values , such as justice, sincerity, and morality, across all aspects of school activities, thereby increasing active teacher participation in curriculum innovation by up to 90%. Teacher empowerment strategies, effective communication, and the instilling of moral values are the main factors supporting the success of Islamic-based innovation. These findings provide practical recommendations for educational leaders to adopt Islamic Transformative Leadership as an essential leadership model in creating a resilient, innovative, and character-driven Islamic school ecosystem, thereby strengthening the quality and relevance of Islamic education in the future.
