Abstract

Various fire infrastructure in Surabaya has been built, but the number of fire incident is less suitable with the standard of disaster response time. This study was conducted to determine the distribution of minimization of fire engine mileage in SIER Industrial Area of ​​Surabaya. The analytical method used is qualitative descriptive by comparing existing condition, criteria, and policy review that exist in SIER Industrial Area of ​​Surabaya with data of fire service post service in Surabaya City to know unreached area of ​​fire post service and have high risk potential Will be a fire disaster in the SIER Industrial Area of ​​Surabaya. Next determine the factors and criteria for determining the location of firefighting post based on existing policy studies and conditions. Factors determining the location of firefighting in Surabaya City is a function of the building based on the type of land use, the density of the net population, the density of the building, the range of fire service, the radius of the water supply range, the incidence of fire, the time of fire disaster response, the availability of land, and the class of road. The result of this research is the implementation of building protection management on building function in industrial area, procurement of socialization and education of fire prevention for the community, coordinating with traffic police to facilitate path of location achievement

Abstract

The aplicabel of horizontal wind turbine. There is two alternative two develop wind turbine design that generator or blade, in order to develop horizontal wind turbine This reesearch select the partdesign to develop generator. The angle design betwen coil and magnetic field must to optimal degree. There are seven angle from 60 degree to 120 degee which angle test. There is range of the optimal degree from 80 degree to 100 degree to develop wihd turbine.

Abstract

Anthropometry is a part of ergonomics that specifically studies body size which includes linear dimensions, as well as content, also includes areas of size, strength, speed, other aspects of body movement.Chairs are furniture that functions as seats, with the demands of the public for the design of chairs, many innovations have sprung up for the manufacture of chairs, the comfort factor is the most served in the process of making chairs, one of which is the lecture chair.The research subjects in this study were undergraduate students at a tertiary institution in East Java with male and female sex, with an age range of 18-25 years. As a result, for Hips Width The size of the seat width used is 36 cm (95th percentile) so that large people can fit when occupying a chair, for Back Height The height of the chair is 57 cm (5th percentile) so that people with small body postures can sit comfortably without difficulty, for Knee Length The length of the knee is 61 cm (95th percentile).

Abstract

The development of industry by empowering high technology is accompanied by an increase in players and technology users in the industrial era and globalization. So it is necessary to pay attention to work safety as an effort to improve human resources in the field of Occupational Safety and Health Management System. The theme of Occupational Safety and Health Management System is very interesting to study and continue to develop. So the purpose of this research is to know the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure and to know the use of Personal Protective Equipment for employees in the maintenance department of a shoe-making company according to the rules and rules of Occupational Safety and Health Management System. The research method used is comparative quantitative research (comparing quantitatively). The research subjects were employees in the maintenance department of a shoe-making company which collected 60 people. The results of this study indicate that the Post-Test value > from the Pre-Test results. Therefore, the implementation of the Health and Safety Management System in the maintenance department has been implemented or in accordance with standart operation procedure and policies of a shoe-making company.

Abstract

Dalam aktivitasnya, manusia menggunakan berbagai macam produk dalam berinteraksi dan melibatkan panca indra, mekanisme pengambilan keputusan oleh otak serta menghasilkan gerakan-gerakan oleh otot-otot tangan dan kaki. Produk yang digunakan idealnya memiliki nilai ergonomi dimana setiap perancangannya memperhatikan karakteristik manusia sebagai objek penggunanya, karena manusia memiliki keterbatasan dalam menggunakan maupun penggunaanya. Abstract

Tulisan ini mendiskusikan tentang konsep total quality management in education sebagai upaya untuk menjawab kebutuhan ketenagakerjaan pada sistem industri modern di Indonesia. Di fokuskan pada pendekatan teoritik : bagaimana konsep total quality management in education ini didiskusikan sebagai upaya partisipasi perguruan tinggi dalam mengelola sumber daya yang dimiliki dan kontruksi konflik yang terjadi di dalamnya. Argumentasi atas kontruksi konflik yang dibangun oleh penulis tidak hanya semata-mata untuk menemukan persoalan, namun juga menemukan kembali konsep total quality management in education yang sesuai kebutuhan (the truly ways). Adanya perbedaan persepsi perguruan tinggi dan industri terhadap kebutuhan ketenagakerjaan, dimana terdapat perubahan pola pikir dan kesiapan manajemen Perguruan Tinggi. Hal ini menjadi faktor penting dalam proses total quality management.

Abstract

Pemenuhan kebutuhan konsumen terhadap produk akan mempengaruhi perusahaan secara langsung, maka diperlukan perhitungan pengendalian produksi lebih tepat dan cermat. Permasalahan global perusahaan penghasil spon alas tidur saat ini adalah adanya selisih perhitungan antara kebutuhan kapasitas waktu produksi dengan kapasitas sumber daya yang dimiliki. Sehingga dibutuhkan perencanaan antara kapasitas sumber daya dengan kapasitas kebutuhan waktu produksi guna meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan dalam aktifitasnya. Maka metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode Rough Cut CapacityPlanning (RCCP). Hasil studi kasus ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Coiller work center dan Bend Frame work center mengalami over capacity.

Abstract

Six Big Losses merupakan enam kerugian yang harus dihindari guna mengurangi tingkat efektivitas suatu mesin. Indikasi losses mesin Sakurai Oliver 458 – EII adalah tidak lancarnya sirkulasi olie all unit sehingga menganggu waktu proses produksi. Metode pendekatan menggunakan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui availability time pada mesin digital printing Sakurai Oliver 458 - EII. Hasil analisa dan pengukuran menunjukkan hasil nilai sebesar 30.57% selama bulan Maret 2019. Sedangkan untuk nilai OEE tertinggi berada pada tanggal 1-3 Maret 2019 yaitu sebesar 67.71%. Sehingga Standart waktu setting menurut JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance) dikatakan belum sesuai standar acuan, maka rescheduling preventive and corrective maintenance perlu diilakukan guna menghindari kerusakan mendadak.

Abstract

In the era of economic digitalization, global business and industry competition is very tight and moves fast. Fashion, trends, and innovations are growing vigorously so that all business and industry players continue to increase their productivity in all fields. The increase in productivity is in line with the company's efforts to increase profits along with optimal product and service quality to consumers. However, efforts to increase it will be hampered by several aspects of waste, this is what is felt by small and medium business actors such as SBRC Furniture which is engaged in the production of carving frames. This research aims to identify various wastes that occur by changing them through the Kaizen method to provide constructive notes to increase business productivity.

Abstract

Non Destructive Test (NDT) merupakan langkah visual dalam pengawasan terhadap kualitas hasil pengelasan logam. Kebutuhan dasar ini merupakan rangkaian dari pembuatan Welding Procedure Specification (WPS). Pelaksanaan uji NDT dilakukan dengan Penetrant Test. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui kecacatan untuk 21 logam yang di las dengan arus 90 ampere dan 21 logam yang dilas dengan arus 100 ampere. Analisa data menggunakan odds ratio. Hasil penelitian diperoleh analisis bahwa arus mesin las SMAW yang menggunakan 90 ampere lebih banyak menyebabkan kecacatan berupa indikasi rounded mencapai 33,3 persen. Sedangkan arus mesin las 100 ampere lebih banyak menyebabkan kecacatan berupa indikasi linier mencapai 28,2 persen. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai odds ratio OR = 2,200 (95 persen CI 0,632 < OR < 7,660) artinya arus mesin las 100 ampere cenderung menyebabkan kecacatan indikasi rounded 2,2 kali lebih besar daripada yang arus mesin las 90 ampere.
