Abstract

Demam Tifoid atau thypus abdominalis merupakan penyakit infeksi akut yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Salmonella thypi atau Salmonella parathypi. Penyakit yang biasanya dikenal dengan sebutan Tipes atau thypus ini sangat berkaitan erat dengan higiene seseorang dan sanitasi lingkungan, seperti higiene perorangan yang rendah, lingkungan yang kotor, kebersihan tempat-tempat umum yang kurang serta perilaku masyarakat yang tidak mendukung untuk hidup sehat. Tujuan: Untuk meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap kesehatan terutama dalam melakukan upaya pecegahan sehingga terhindar dari penyakit demam tifoid. Metode: Sosialisasi dengan memberikan edukasi melalui media cetak (poster) kepada peserta MDTA Ar-Ridha.

Abstract

The use of natural ingredients as medicine is the right thing to support public health because it has low side effects when compared to drugs made from chemical substances. One of the plants that are used by the community is the karamunting plant, where empirically the caramunting root is used by the community in several areas. Preparation of caramunting root extract (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton) Hassk) with a concentration of 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%, then carried out the S. aureus antibacterial test then assessed the inhibition zone for each concentration, repeated three times. Furthermore, the Kruskallwalis and Manwhitney tests were carried out. Where the antibacterial test results of caramunting root extract (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton) Hassk) were obtained, with an average inhibition zone of 70% ethanol extract of caramunting root against S. Aureus ranging from 4.66-6.26 mm. Based on the classification of the strength of the extract as antibacterial, the ethanol extract of 70% caramunting root has moderate strength as antibacterial at a concentration of 100% showing an average inhibition zone of 6.26 mm, 90% shows an average inhibition zone of 5.63mm and 80% indicates an average inhibition zone of 5.23mm, and has a strength in a concentration of 70%, the mean inhibition zone of 4.66mm has a weak strength as an antibacterial against S. aureus. The kruskallwalis test results obtained p <0.05, which means that the caramunting extract (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton) Hassk) has an antibacterial effect. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the caramunting root extract in this study has an antibacterial effect on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, at a concentration of 100%, is the concentration of caramunting root extract which has the largest diameter of the inhibition zone, i.e. 6.26 mm, but when compared with chloramphenicol, chloramphenicol has a better antibacterial effect.

Abstract

Date palm suspension (Phoenix dactylifera) is a processed product from date palm, which has various ingredients that are beneficial for health. There was a study about the effectiveness of date palm suspension which aims to determine the effectiveness of date palm suspension to increasing the number of platelets in male mice (Mus musculus L) that given cotrimoxazole. This research use an experimental study with "Post test only control group design" and "Simple randomized sampling". This study used 35 male mice aged 2-3 months, weighing 20-30 grams were divided into 5 groups randomly. Negative control group, positive control group, and treatment group (I, II, III) with dose of 7 mg/kgBW, 14 mg/kgBW, 21 mg/kgBW. Cotrimoxazole was given for 8 days and date palm suspension was given for 2 days, then the platelet count was checked using an Automated Hematology Analyzer. The effectiveness of date palm suspension to increasing the platelet count of each test group was analyzed with One Way ANOVA statistical test. The results of statistical tests showed that date palm suspension with dose of 7 mg/kgBW, 14 mg/kgBW, 21 mg/kgBW could increase the platelet count of male mice that given cotrimoxazole, resulting in p<0.05 in all groups. Date palm juice (Pheonix dactylifera) is effective in increasing platelet levels, especially at a dose of 21 mg/kgBW. Keywords: Cotrimoxazole, Date palm suspension (Phoenix dactylifera), Platelets.

Abstract

Abstract: Low-dose aspirin therapy (LDA) is reported to give good results on the outcome of pregnancy. This systematic review study aims to find out in what cases the role of LDA can be given, the amount of dose and duration of administration and the final results of various studies that have been conducted. Researchers used a systematic literature study with the help of Publish or Perish, Mendeley and Microsoft Excel applications in a literature search from Google Scholar with the keyword low dose aspirin related to pregnancy. Of the 200 articles taken, after conducting a systematic assessment, 21 articles were included in the inclusion criteria that discussed 4 topics, namely pre-eclampsia, current pregnancy loss, healthy pregnancy and inflammatory cases in pregnancy. From the results of the review, it can be concluded that low-dose aspirin can be used and is beneficial in preventing and treating some complications in pregnancy. Its administration can be given before conception until gestational age reaches 36 weeks with a dose range of 50 mg to 150 mg per day.

Abstract

Abstrak : Air susu ibu (ASI) merupakan jenis makanan hasil produksi kelenjar payudara ibu yang berbentuk cairan dan diproduksi untuk menjadi sumber gizi utama bagi bayi yang belum bisa mencerna makanan padat. Menurut data Depkes pada tahun 2014 prevalensi tingkat pemberian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia berkisar 52,3% di mana angka ini belum mencapai target yang telah ditentukan oleh program Kemenkes 2014 sebesar 80%. Kemangi memiliki kandungan politenol dan steroid yang mampu merangsang produksi ASI dan dapat mengatasi nyeri pada payudara wanita. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan desain penelitian Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah ibu post partum atau ibu menyusui di lingkungan Kelurahan Tanjung Gusta. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 40 orang di bagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, Levene test, paired sample t test, uji independent T test, dan uji Man Withney. Hasil uji memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun kemangi terhadap kelancaran ASI pada ibu menyusui. Pada hari ke lima rata – rata volume ASI yang didapatkan pada kelompok intervensi naik menjadi 65,05 ml dan pada hari ke sepuluh naik menjadi 88,40 ml. Hasil uji Wilcoxon test pada penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai signifikan pada hari kelima sampai hari kesepuluh sebesar 0,000 0,05 yang berarti H1 diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun kemangi memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengeluaran ASI pada ibu menyusui.
