Abstract

Efforts to improve student achievement can be started by procuring various factors influencing it. One crucial factor is to present a variety of teacher-teaching methods. Teachers very much need these factors and are more creative in carrying out more interesting learning so that students like the teacher and the content taught. Applying a Jigsaw approach or cooperative learning for students so that they have significant responsibility in learning can inspire students to speak in front of the class. This study aims to determine students' understanding of social studies through learning with the Jigsaw method of choice in class X SMK Negeri 3 Manado. With a qualitative design and a descriptive approach strategy, this study is expected to understand the level of mastery of social studies content using the Jigsaw method and approach. Data collection techniques are data analysis from a series of teacher interviews and direct observations in the classroom. A single case study because it only chose one location. The case study is anchored because it has focused on the problem under study before researching the field. The procedure for implementing qualitative research is flexible according to the field's needs, situations, and conditions. In general, the results of qualitative research show that it is closely related to achieving effective and efficient learning objectives. The relationship between the material and the tasks carried out by students needs to be clarified so that each group and its members need clarification about the discussion material and its objectives. In this connection, it is unwise for teachers to criticize students' opinions, especially their criticisms, constantly. Keywords:  Jigsaw Approach, Social Sciences, Learning Model

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the professionalism of elementary school teachers, the relationship between economic burdens and the level of teacher professionalism, and what economic burdens are wrapped around and most wrapped around teachers in rural areas located in the Modoinding sub-district, South Minahasa district, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. A total of 92 teachers were selected as the sample of this study varying between levels D-II, D-III, and D-IV/S1. In-depth interviews were conducted in this study, and the identification results found that 30 teachers belonged to class IIIa with working periods varying between 10 to 16 years and a salary range between IDR.3,252,900 to IDR.3,570,100. The research results found several types of financial burdens experienced by teachers, and the most wrapped around them are limited salaries, incentives, and debt. It showed that instructors deal with a variety of financial difficulties, the most common being inadequate pay, little incentives, and excessive debt. Their inability to pay for necessities is hampered by these financial difficulties, which also have a negative effect on their concentration and commitment to their work-related obligations. Particularly when it comes to debt, teachers are frequently compelled to look for other means of money, which takes them away from their core responsibility as educators. As a result, these financial constraints may have a negative impact on the standard of instruction underscoring the need for more focused interventions to address these problems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic losses suffered by online motorcycle taxi drivers in Tomohon City due to account cloning, a growing form of digital exploitation in Indonesia’s gig economy. The research examines financial, operational, and psychological impacts, evaluates platform security measures, and assesses the erosion of consumer trust. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys with 50 drivers and qualitative in-depth interviews with drivers, customers, and platform representatives. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, participatory observation, and thematic analysis. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to measure income decline and additional costs, while qualitative data were interpreted through thematic content analysis to understand lived experiences and systemic vulnerabilities.Findings reveal that 44% of income reduction is directly linked to account-related disruptions, with affected drivers losing between IDR 500,000 and 1,000,000. Additional recovery costs further strain their financial stability. Psychologically, 76% reported moderate to high anxiety, and 64% stated that the threat of cloning negatively affects work motivation. Consumer trust is compromised, as 80% of drivers acknowledge reputational damage due to service inconsistencies caused by cloned accounts. Despite high awareness of cloning (82%), only 40% implement preventive measures, and 70% perceive platform responses as inadequate. The discussion highlights that account cloning is a systemic issue rooted in weak platform governance and low digital literacy. The absence of compensation mechanisms exacerbates worker vulnerability. This study recommends mandatory implementation of advanced security protocols, integrated digital literacy programs, and a formal gig worker protection framework including rapid reporting and financial compensation. These measures are essential for building a fairer and more sustainable digital transportation ecosystem.
