Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of agribusiness vocational training in improving market access for farmers, particularly in the Lampung region, in 2021. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The results indicate that this training had a positive impact on changing farmers' behavior in marketing agricultural products, particularly through improved packaging skills, digital promotion, and the use of online platforms such as social media and e-commerce. Farmers who participated in the training were able to expand their marketing networks, improve product competitiveness, and increase income. However, the success of the training is highly dependent on local institutional support, digital literacy, and the availability of technological infrastructure. This study concludes that agribusiness vocational training is an effective empowerment strategy for promoting farmer economic independence, but it needs to be complemented by ongoing mentoring and policy integration at the local level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of agricultural technology training on farmer productivity within the context of the 2021 vocational agribusiness education program in Labuhan Ratu. The research employs a quantitative approach using explanatory research to explain causal relationships between variables through inferential statistical analysis. A total of 100 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests, t-test, and R² test using the Smart PLS software. The results show that agricultural technology training has a positive and significant effect on increasing farmer productivity, with a T-statistic value of 16.109 and a P-value of 0.000. These findings indicate that the higher the quality and intensity of training received, the greater the resulting agricultural productivity. The training not only enhances technical knowledge but also transforms behavior and improves farmers’ skills in adopting new technologies. Therefore, vocational agribusiness education plays a strategic role as a center for developing agricultural human resources that are responsive to technological advancements and the challenges of modern agriculture.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the vocational agribusiness education curriculum in enhancing participants’ practical skills, particularly farmers. The research is based on the gap between curriculum content and real field needs, such as the mastery of appropriate agricultural technology, sustainable farm management, and digital marketing. A qualitative approach was employed using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the vocational agribusiness training program implementation at ITS NU Lampung. The findings show that although the curriculum is conceptually relevant, there are shortcomings in its implementation, especially in adapting the material to local needs and the limitations of training facilities. Therefore, the curriculum needs to be reviewed and refined regularly to become more adaptive, contextual, and applicable. Continuous evaluation based on participant feedback is essential to improving the quality of vocational education in the agribusiness sector.

Abstract

Abstract This community service program was conducted in Karang Rejo Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency. The primary objective was to enhance community knowledge and skills in hydroponic farming through the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The program focused on vocational agribusiness training based on local potential, particularly the introduction and hands-on practice of simple hydroponic techniques that can be applied at the household level. The results showed that participants were able to understand and implement basic hydroponic methods such as seed germination, nutrient mixing, and the use of recycled materials as growing media. In addition to improving technical skills, this program also encouraged food self-sufficiency, optimized the use of limited land, and reduced household consumption costs. It is expected that this activity will serve as a replicable community-based empowerment model for sustainable development.

Abstract

Abstract This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of farmers in Yosodadi Village through a vocational education program designed to support agribusiness diversification. The main problem faced by the assisted community is their dependence on monoculture farming and the lack of technical and entrepreneurial skills to develop alternative agribusiness opportunities. Using the Community-Based Research (CBR) approach, the program involved farmers in all stages of the process, from problem identification to implementation and evaluation. A series of participatory activities were conducted, including horticulture training, agricultural product processing workshops, entrepreneurship sessions, and the establishment of a demonstration plot. The results show that 10 new agribusiness units were formed, farmer awareness of record-keeping and business planning increased, and local leadership began to emerge among younger farmers. This program not only improved technical skills but also encouraged social transformation through the strengthening of group institutions and the development of a collaborative culture. The findings confirm that integrating vocational education with community empowerment can effectively address structural challenges in rural agriculture. Keywords: Farmer Capacity
