Abstract

A pharmacy is a pharmaceutical service facility where pharmaceutical practice is carried out by pharmacists. Consumer satisfaction means that the performance of a service is at least the same as expected or exceeds what is expected. This research was conducted to determine the level of satisfaction of traditional medicine consumers at pharmacies. This research uses a non-experimental quantitative method with a descriptive approach, with a population of pharmacy consumers and 100 samples, and an accidental sampling technique. The level of consumer satisfaction can be measured using variables, reliability, responsiveness, confidence, physical evidence and empathy. Satisfaction level measurement was carried out using a questionnaire and 5 quality measurement variables. The results obtained on the variable reliability 80.07% level of satisfaction, responsiveness  80.1% level of satisfaction, confidence 74.4% level of satisfaction, empathy 78.8% level of satisfaction and tangible  73.88% satisfaction level. And an average satisfaction value of 77.45% consumer satisfaction was obtained from 5 variables, which means consumers felt satisfied

Abstract

The pain that appears in postoperative patients is acute pain, but pain that is not properly managed will develop into chronic pain and have long-term negative effects  and also have financial impacts. Metamizole is commonly used in pain management, while ketorolac is currently positioned as an alternative option. The availability of various analgesic options must be accompanied by comparative data on effectiveness and cost assessment. This aim to compare the cost–effectiveness of two therapies for moderate and severe acute pain, Metamizole (3x1g) and Ketorolac (3x30mg) for closed fracture postoperative pain management.. This study is descriptive comparative research using a cross sectional design with retrospective data collection. The sample in this study was the medical records and financial records of BPJS class III closed fracture surgery patients. Cost estimation measured from the provider's perspective. The types of costs considered are all costs directly related to health care at the hospital. Costs are measured in Indonesian rupiah (IDR) currency units. This research is short-term research so the researcher did not analyze the discount rate(0%). The findings of this study showed that Metamizole is a drug with higher effectiveness (37.93%) than ketorolac (35.48%), with a total direct medical cost of metamizole of IDR. 21,990,051 and ketorolac IDR. 23,041,427. ACER value of metamizole IDR. 579,754 and ketorolac IDR. 649,420. Based on the calculation of these real numbers, Metamizole is more cost effective than ketorolac in postoperative fracture pain management. However, statistically the effectiveness and cost of the two therapies did not have a significant difference.

Abstract

Abstract

Rome beauty apple (Malus sylvestris Mill) is an apple variety that is widely grown in Batu City. The skin of this apple is known to contain flavonoid compounds such as quercetin, catechin, procyanidin and caffeic acid which are useful as antibacterial, antioxidant, and antiproliferative. This study was conducted to determine the total flavonoid content and antibacterial activity in the ethanol extract of macerated Roma beauty apple peel. In addition, this study also aims to determine the antioxidant activity of the ethyl acetate extract and the ethanol extract of Roma beauty apple from multistage extraction. The ethanol extract of macerated Rome beauty apple was tested for total flavonoid content and antibacterial activity using the well diffusion method, then the diameter of the inhibition zone was measured against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, while the ethyl acetate extract and the ethanol extract of Rome beauty apple from multistage extraction were tested for antioxidant activity using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. Based on the research, it is known that the ethanol extract of Rome Beauty apple peel from maceration contains flavonoids of 47.10 mgQE/g with an inhibition zone diameter against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus aureus of 8.70 mm and 11.67 mm respectively with a concentration of 20% w/v. The results of the antioxidant activity test of the ethyl acetate extract obtained IC50 3026 ppm and the ethanol extract from multistage extraction of 4702 ppm. The test results can be concluded that the ethanol extract of Rome Beauty apple has a total flavonoid content and antibacterial activity with a moderate category against P. acnes bacteria and strong against S. aureus bacteria. The ethyl acetate extract and the ethanol extract of Rome Beauty apple peel from multistage extraction have antioxidant activity with a very weak category.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by hyperglycemia and metabolic disorders of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins associated with absolute or relative deficiency of insulin action or secretion, this requires long-term treatment, where the role of health workers and patients is very important, especially in terms of patient medication compliance which is the spearhead for successful therapy. Compliance is influenced by several factors, especially education. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of compliance with taking medication for type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Pakis Health Center. This research design is a descriptive quantitative study with a cross sectional approach to 100 patients with purposive sampling method using the DKQ-24 and MMAS-8 questionnaires. Of the total patients, the most patients were 46-59 years old (49%), female gender (81%), high school (81%), not working (42%), 1-10 years of suffering (85%), the number of drugs received> 2 (54%), there were comorbidities (59%), sufficient knowledge (65%), and moderate compliance (74%). Spearman's rho correlation analysis showed a p-value of 0.0001 and a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.610. These results indicate that there is a strong relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of compliance with taking medication for type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Pakis Health Center.
