Abstract

Kanker menjadi salah satu penyebab kematian utama secara global. Jenis kanker yang sering ditemukan pada perempuan adalah kanker payudara yang mulai ditemukan pada kelompok usia remaja putri. Langkah promotif untuk mencegah peningkatan kasus dan angka kematian akibat kanker payudara sangat dibutuhkan. Salah satu bentuk upaya pencegahan dini secara mandiri dan tanpa alat medis adalah Pemeriksaan Payudara Sendiri (SADARI). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menilai efektifitas pemberian edukasi kesehatan SADARI dengan menggunakan media booklet dalam meningkatkan pemahaman remaja putri mengenai pentingnya deteksi dini kanker payudara. Desain penelitian kuantitatif pra-eksperimental one-group pretest-posttest design. Populasi adalah 178 siswi kelas XII, dan 30 siswi dijadikan sampel berdasarkan teknik quota sampling yang disesuaikan dengan kriteria inklusi yang telah ditetapkan. Pengetahuan partisipan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi diukur menggunakan instrumen kuesioner. Diperoleh hasil 83,3% responden mengalami peningkatan dan tingkat pengetahuan yang baik, sehingga penelitian ini membuktikan terdapat pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan remaja putri dalam deteksi dini kanker payudara SADARI. Berdasarkan analisis statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon didapatkan hasil bahwa edukasi SADARI dengan media booklet efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja putri tentang SADARI untuk mendeteksi kanker payudara secara dini.

Abstract

Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive respiratory condition marked by continuous airflow limitation, often resulting in hypoxemia and hypercapnia. The WHO (1) projects that by 2030, COPD will rank as the third leading cause of death globally. In Indonesia, the prevalence of COPD reached 2.4% in 2018. One of the key clinical manifestations of COPD is a decline in oxygen saturation. Non-pharmacological breathing techniques such as Pursed Lip Breathing (PLB) and Diaphragmatic Breathing (DB) have been shown to improve ventilation and oxygenation. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of PLB and DB in improving oxygen saturation among COPD patients. Methods: A quasi-experimental one-group pre-post test design was used, involving 30 purposively selected COPD patients from a population of 35 treated. Each participant performed PLB and DB for 5-10 minutes per session, three times daily, for four weeks-initially during hospitalization and later at home under supervision. Inclusion criteria were COPD patients with oxygen saturation levels of 88–90% who had not previously received PLB or DB therapy. Exclusion criteria included those with prior experience of PLB/DB, anxiety, anti-anxiety treatment, as anxiety can alter breathing patterns and reduce therapy effectiveness. Data were collected using observation sheets and pulse oximeters and analyzed with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: Mean oxygen saturation increased from 89.40% (SD = 2.15) to 92.10% (SD = 1.98) with a significant p-value (0.000 < 0.05). Conclusion: PLB and DB effectively enhance oxygen saturation in COPD patients and have important implications for evidence-based nursing practice and education.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan staf keperawatan merupakan komponen penting dalam peningkatan mutu layanan rumah sakit, namun masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti lemahnya infrastruktur organisasi, kurangnya dukungan institusi, dan rendahnya keterlibatan perawat dalam pengambilan keputusan. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada motivasi, kinerja, serta keselamatan pasien, sehingga kajian ilmiah mengenai efektivitas pemberdayaan menjadi semakin mendesak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara sistematis pengaruh pemberdayaan struktural dan psikologis terhadap kinerja pelayanan keperawatan, serta mengidentifikasi dimensi pemberdayaan dan intervensi yang terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) berbasis pedoman PRISMA 2020 dengan menelaah 30 artikel terbitan 2021–2025 terkait pemberdayaan struktural, pemberdayaan psikologis, dan kinerja keperawatan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan struktural berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja (p=0,000) dan kinerja perawat (p=0,016), sementara pemberdayaan psikologis meningkatkan keterlibatan kerja dengan koefisien 0,487 (p<0,05). Employee Empowerment dan Knowledge Management menjelaskan 41,9% variasi kinerja pegawai. Intervensi coaching meningkatkan skor kinerja dari 1,68 menjadi 2,94 (p=0,005) dan pelatihan Patient Centered Care meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat hingga 95,7%. Secara keseluruhan, temuan menegaskan bahwa pemberdayaan struktural dan psikologis berperan penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan kinerja keperawatan, dengan pelatihan terstruktur sebagai strategi pendukung yang efektif.   Nurse empowerment is a critical component in improving hospital service quality; however, it continues to face challenges such as weak organizational infrastructure, limited institutional support, and low nurse involvement in decision-making. These conditions affect motivation, performance, and patient safety, making research on effective empowerment strategies increasingly urgent. This study aims to systematically analyze the influence of structural and psychological empowerment on nursing service performance and to identify empowerment dimensions and interventions proven effective in enhancing service quality. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by PRISMA 2020 was conducted by reviewing 30 articles published between 2021 and 2025 addressing structural empowerment, psychological empowerment, and nursing performance. Findings indicate that structural empowerment significantly improves work motivation (p=0.000) and nurse performance (p=0.016), while psychological empowerment enhances work engagement with a coefficient of 0.487 (p<0.05). Employee Empowerment and Knowledge Management explain 41.9% of performance variation. Coaching interventions increased performance scores from 1.68 to 2.94 (p=0.005), and Patient-Centered Care training improved nurses’ knowledge by 95.7%. Overall, the review confirms that structural and psychological empowerment substantially improve motivation, engagement, and nursing performance, with structured training serving as an effective supporting strategy.

Abstract

Literature review ini memiliki kebaruan (novelty) dengan menerapkan teori caring Jean Watson secara komprehensif untuk menilai dampaknya terhadap kepuasan dan kesejahteraan pasien, sehingga diharapkan mampu memberikan perspektif baru mengenai pentingnya penerapan nilai-nilai human caring dalam meningkatkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada kepuasan, tetapi juga kesejahteraan pasien secara menyeluruh. Garis besarnya, teori Jean Watson menegaskan bahwa caring tidak hanya mencakup tindakan klinis, tetapi juga merupakan wujud nilai kemanusiaan, moral, dan hubungan interpersonal yang berfokus pada penyembuhan serta kesejahteraan pasien, sehingga mampu memberikan kepuasan dan kesejahteraan sesuai harapan pasien. Literature review ini dilakukan melalui proses pengumpulan data dengan menelusuri dan mengunduh artikel dari Google Scholar, PubMed, dan MDPI sesuai kriteria kebutuhan materi yang dipublikasikan tidak lebih dari lima tahun terakhir. Hasil penelusuran terhadap 19 artikel menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepuasan pasien terhadap perilaku caring perawat bervariasi, dipengaruhi oleh faktor budaya, agama, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, serta lama perawatan.

Abstract

Background: Jean Watson's Caring Theoryemphasizes an empathetic and humanistic relationship between nurses and patients. This literature review aims to examine the application of this theory in breathing exercisesas a holistic approach to improving the physical and psychological conditionof patients. Method: The method used was a database searchon PubMed and Google Scholar with a publication periodrange of 2015-2025. Results: The results show that exercises such as slow deepbreathing, diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation,and finger hold relaxation are effective in reducing blood pressure and anxietyand improving lung function and quality of life. Conclusion: The collaborationbetween Jean Watson's Caring theory and breathing exercises can strengthen the holistic aspectof nursing, create a therapeutic environment, and accelerate the physical and psychological recoveryof patients.

Abstract

Nursing management supervision is one of the managerial functions that plays an important role in improving the performance of the nursing team. The optimal implementation of supervision focuses not only on supervision, but also includes coaching, mentoring, and ongoing evaluation of nurses. This article aims to examine the role of nursing management supervision optimization in supporting the performance of nursing teams. The writing method used is a literature study by examining various scientific sources in the form of nursing textbooks and relevant journal articles in the last ten years. The results of the study show that nursing management supervision carried out in a planned, systematic, and continuous manner is able to improve the performance of the nursing team, which is characterized by increased compliance with nursing care standards, documentation quality, team communication, and nurse job satisfaction. In addition, supportive and educational supervision can increase the motivation and responsibility of nurses in providing quality nursing care. Therefore, the optimization of nursing management supervision needs to be applied consistently by nursing leaders as an important strategy in improving the performance of the nursing team and the quality of health services.

Abstract

The abstract is a brief summary of the entire article’s contents. The This article aims to examine the role of nursing audits in improving the quality of care through medical record documentation. The issue addressed focuses on the suboptimal quality of nursing documentation, which may affect service quality and patient safety. This study employed a literature review with a descriptive-analytical approach by analyzing twenty relevant national and international scientific articles related to nursing audits and medical record documentation. The literature was reviewed to identify the role of nursing audits, supporting and inhibiting factors, and their implications for quality of care. The findings indicate that nursing audits play a significant role in improving the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of nursing care documentation. Audit implementation accompanied by feedback, supervision, and organizational support encourages nurses’ compliance with documentation standards. Furthermore, the use of electronic documentation systems enhances the effectiveness of the audit process. In conclusion, nursing audits can serve as an effective strategy to improve the quality of nursing care when implemented continuously and supported by appropriate policies, training, and institutional commitment.

Abstract

Dislocation is a musculoskeletal injury that often occurs in adolescents with high physical activity and can cause functional impairment and serious complications if not treated properly. Lack of knowledge about early recognition and first aid for dislocations often leads to delayed and inappropriate treatment. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of health education in improving adolescents' knowledge about managing dislocations. A quantitative descriptive study with a pre-test and post-test design was conducted on 23 high school students at Al Bidayah Batujajar. The health education intervention was delivered through lectures, interactive discussions, simulations, and the use of print and digital educational media. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed descriptively to compare knowledge levels before and after the intervention. Findings showed a significant increase in students' knowledge after the educationalintervention. The average pre-test score was 68.17, indicating a moderate level of knowledge. After the intervention, the average post-test score increased to 88%, with most participants achieving a high level of knowledge. Health education significantly improved adolescents' knowledge about dislocations and first aid. School-based educational interventions are an effective strategy for improving musculoskeletal health literacy and can contribute to the prevention of complications related to dislocations among adolescents. asi kesehatan muskuloskeletal dan dapat berkontribusi pada pencegahan komplikasi yang terkait dengan dislokasi di kalangan remaja.

Abstract

Program jenjang karir perawat di Indonesia dimulai pada tahun 2006 dan diatur oleh Permenkes Nomor 47 Tahun 2017, dengan standar yang mengikuti PPNI. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) adalah proses di mana perawat terlibat secara aktif dalam pembelajaran yang berkelanjutan. Ini juga berarti komitmen untuk mempertahankan serta meningkatkan tingkat profesionalisme dan keberhasilan dalam karier. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh CPD terhadap pengembangan jenjang karir perawat melalui pendekatan literature review, penulis menganalisis berbagai artikel ilmiah yang relevan untuk memperoleh gambaran komprehensif mengenai metode, strategi, dan kecenderungan yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kompetensi perawat melalui program pengembangan profesional. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan klinis, memperkuat identitas profesional, dan memperluas peluang karir melalui pemenuhan kompetensi yang tersusun secara sistematis. Temuan tersebut juga menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan program dipengaruhi oleh dukungan organisasi, akses terhadap pelatihan, motivasi individu, serta sistem evaluasi kompetensi. Berdasarkan interpretasi hasil tersebut, pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan memiliki posisi strategis dalam peningkatan mutu layanan dan kemajuan karir perawat. Hubungan CPD dengan jenjang karir perawat diperlukan kebijakan institusional yang terencana dengan baik agar program dapat dilaksanakan secara konsisten dan memberikan dampak optimal bagi peningkatan kualitas praktik keperawatan.

Abstract

Background: Program jenjang karir perawat di Indonesia mulai diterapkan sejak tahun 2006 dan secara formal diatur dalam Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 47 Tahun 2017 dengan standar yang mengacu pada Persatuan Perawat Nasional Indonesia. Salah satu komponen penting dalam pengembangan jenjang karir perawat adalah Continuing Professional Development, yaitu proses pembelajaran berkelanjutan yang bertujuan untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kompetensi serta profesionalisme perawat sepanjang kariernya. Objective: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Continuing Professional Development terhadap pengembangan jenjang karir perawat. Method: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review dengan menelaah berbagai artikel ilmiah dan sumber pustaka yang relevan dengan topik Continuing Professional Development dan jenjang karir perawat. Result: Hasil telaah literatur menunjukkan bahwa Continuing Professional Development berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan klinis, kemampuan berpikir kritis, profesionalisme, serta kepuasan kerja perawat yang menjadi prasyarat dalam sistem jenjang karir. Selain itu, Continuing Professional Development mendukung kesiapan perawat dalam memenuhi persyaratan kredensial, mempertahankan kompetensi, dan beradaptasi dengan tuntutan profesional pada berbagai tahap karier. Namun, efektivitas pelaksanaannya dipengaruhi oleh dukungan organisasi, ketersediaan fasilitas pelatihan, kebijakan institusional, serta faktor individu seperti motivasi dan beban kerja. Hambatan yang sering ditemui meliputi keterbatasan waktu, biaya, akses pelatihan, dan budaya organisasi yang kurang mendukung. Conclusion: Continuing Professional Development memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap pengembangan jenjang karir perawat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kebijakan institusional yang terstruktur serta sistem pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan yang konsisten agar pelaksanaannya dapat berjalan optimal dan berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pelayanan keperawatan.
