Abstract

The aim of this activity is to increase understanding of sharia financial concepts, encourage responsible financial management, facilitate access to sharia financial products, increase awareness of sustainability and economic ethics, reduce financial risks and increase economic resilience, and empower the community through sharia financial literacy. The activity was carried out using the lecture and mentoring method in Petuk Ketimpun Village, the participants were the Muslim recitation group at the Nurul Iman Mosque. As a result, participants' sharia financial literacy increased.

Abstract

Membangun ekonomi Islam melalui pelaksanaan prinsip ekonomi Islam telah dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Kalimantan Selatan khususnya masyarakat banjar pada saat haul Guru Sekumpul yang dikenal sebagai tokoh ulama yang seorang tokoh ulama yang masyhur di kalangan masyarakat khususnya di wilayah Banjarmasin. Tradisi haul Guru Sekumpul setiap tahun dilaksanakan sebagai bukti kemasyhuran dan nama besar sosok Guru Sekumpul. Prinsip tersebut adalah berbagi makan dan minum menjadi kebiasaan yang tidak lepas dari rangkaian acara haul Guru Sekumpul. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk meninjau pelaksanaan prinsip ekonomi Islam yang menjadi tradisi masyarakat Banjar yaitu berbagi makan dan minum saat haul Kiyai Haji Zaini Abdul Ghani atau yang masyhur disebut Guru Sekumpul Martapura dalam pandangan teori Max Weber. Pendekatan dalam kajian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode studi kepustakaan. Sumber primernya mengacu pada banyak  literatur dari beberapa sumber. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat motif atau alasan masyarakat Banjar dalam melakukan suatu tindakan di antaranya yaitu tindakan tradisional, tindakan afektif, tindakan rasionalitas instrumental, dan tindakan rasionalitas nilai. Tradisi berbagi makanan dan minuman ini menjadi cerminan kuat dari nilai-nilai agama dalam melaksanakan prinsip ekonomi Islam dan memupuk solidaritas, kebersamaan, serta tanggung jawab sosial di antara anggota masyarakat.

Abstract

Introduction to The Problem: The Islamic insurance industry in Indonesia has great potential to grow, especially considering the majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim. However, in reality, the market share of Islamic insurance in Indonesia is still lagging behind compared to other financial institutions and when compared to conventional insurance. Based on data as of December 31, 2022, it shows that conventional insurance premiums have a market share of 50.32%, social and compulsory insurance premiums are 45%, while Islamic insurance premiums only reach 4.76%.Purpose/Objective Study: This study aims to analyze strategies to optimize the development and increase market share of Islamic insurance in the modern era.Design/Methodology/Approach: This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to review literature related to marketing strategies, technological innovation, consumer behavior, and regulations in Islamic insurance.Findings: The research findings show that optimization of development can be achieved through product innovation in accordance with modern market needs, the application of digital technology, and increased Islamic financial literacy.In addition, strong regulatory support from the government, both from DSN-MUI and OJK, is essential in creating a conducive environment for the growth of Islamic insurance.The conclusion of this study states that collaborative strategies between Islamic insurance companies and related industries, as well as the utilization of digital technology, can increase the market share and competitiveness of Islamic insurance in the modern era.This optimization can expand product range and increase consumer confidence, as well as strengthen the position of Islamic insurance in the global financial market.Paper Type: Research Article
