Abstract

Mastery techniques in badminton game are a main ability that must be possessed by players. One part of these techniques is the strategy in proper shuttlecock placement, so that the opposing player is difficult to restore it. Therefore, this study aims to build a computational model and its implementation that are able to provide predictions/recommendations for trainers and players on determining strategies of shuttlecock’s placements and strokes. The proposed model takes into account historical game patterns that have been done by world class athletes. Then, string matching using the Knuth-Morris-Pratt algorithm and a clustering method are utilized to provide solutions to be some strategies on shooting the shuttlecock. The model is then implemented in the R programming language. Several experiments, involving 20 series of world matches collected as historical data, have been conducted to validate the system. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the system can be used as an alternative tool for players and coaches to determine the strategy in the placement and strokes of shuttlecock on badminton game.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to determine the extent of implementation of sports education model on the basic movement skills of forearm pass in volleyball. The research method used was an experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group research design. The subjects of this study were students of class VII SMPN 1 Plered Cirebon with total sample of 22 students divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The research instrument used was a modified forearm pass accuracy test from the Braddy Volley Ball Test and documentation. The final results of this research, we could see there is an effect of the sports education model on improving learning outcome skills of forearm pass in volleyball game as the author has described above. The mean of the sports education model group has a value of 15.36 with a final score of 21.00 having a percentage difference of 70%. While the average value of the control group was 16.36 and the final score was 17.82 with a percentage difference of 59.4%. The t value is smaller than the t table, therefore the hypothesis is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the sports education model group on the improvement of forearm pass in volleyball. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant effect in the sports education group on the improvement of volleyball forearm pass skills.

Abstract

The lack of student self-regulation in learning requires educators to implement a self-regulated learning model to improve the student ability to control themselves, have high confidence, be responsible, and be more independent in learning table tennis, thus the students are motivated to achieve the learning goals. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the SRL model in table tennis learning could improve the student self-control. The research method used was an experimental research method employing the Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population of this study were 80 students of the PETE for Elementary School Study Program of a university. The sampling technique used was the simple random sampling, involving 40 people. The instrument used to measure self-control was adopted from Tangney (self-control scale). The data analysis technique used was independent sample t-test employing SPSS 24 software for windows. The results showed that the self-regulated learning model had a significant effect on self-control in table tennis learning for PETE for Elementary School Study Program students.

Abstract

Physical teacher education is required to develop using technology, namely to improve planning and application in learning, but there are obstacles for a teacher to innovate by combining   technology in Physical education. Integration  of technology and learning Physical education  demands the  incorporation of surrounding  pedagogy  into knowledge, pedagogy, content  and technology (TPACK), is a framework for integrating technology into learning that can be used in all subjects in general. Especially in physical education, of course, it has a unique relationship with technology when compared to other subjects, because physical education is fundamentally different from teaching other subjects, many the way in which some studies have touched on the framework of TPACK and Physical Education.  The TPACK framework describes the type of  knowledge required by teachers for successful integration of technology in teaching expands the work and  argues that teachers should develop a complex, located, and integrated body of knowledge, known as technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPCK), or more recently as technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK). Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) is a framework that identifies knowledge, teachers need to teach effectively with a technological framework. As follows: TPACK was first introduced The instrument used is a questionnaire that has 7 components of the TPACK with 20 questions using a likert scale with respondents, namely physical Education teachers in the city of Bandung with the category of State Elementary Schools. Abstract

Life skills as skills needed to overcome the demands and demands of everyday life to see an increase in life skills in research students used two learning models, namely the Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) model and the cooperative model. The purpose of this study was to find out how much influence the Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) model and cooperative model had on life skills in physical education, sports and health. The research method in this study is to use a comparative experimental method, comparative research to find out whether two variables or more than two groups have differences in the aspects or variables studied. The experimental research design used in this study was the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The samples used in this study were 15 students in the TPSR group and 15 students in the cooperative group. With the application of the TPSR learning model which aims to improve aspects of students' life skills, the average pretest score = 150.13 and the posttest average score = 166.40 with a difference in score of 16.27. As for the cooperative learning model which aims to improve aspects of students' life skills, the average pretest score = 112.27 and the posttest average score = 158.33 with a difference in score of 46.07. Thus, the difference in the average value of the TPSR learning model is smaller than the difference in the average value of the cooperative learning model, so that it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model has more influence on students' life skills.

Abstract

Basic movement skill (FMS) is an important factor that can influence physical activities. Playing outside can support a child overall health, learning process, and basic motor skill development. The purpose of this study was to determine early childhood motor development through outdoor play based on gender differences. This study used an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of preschool children aged 5–6 years. The sample included 30 preschool children selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 12 boys and 18 girls. TGMD-2 test instrument was used to measure FMS. The results showed that there was no difference of the effect of the outdoor play program on the basic motor skills (FMS) of boys and girls. Locomotor skills and control objects indicates that there was a significant effect of the program intervention. It concludes that early motor skills of boys and girls were improved after participating in an outdoor play program. According to the result of this study, it is necessary to conduct a more detailed approach on gender differences, especially on their basic motor needs and participations in programmed outdoor activities to encourage the development of basic motor skills (FMS).
