Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur sejarah dan nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kumpulan cerpen “Teh dan Pengkhianat” karya Iksaka Banu. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan untuk menganalisis kumpulan cerpen ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan struktural. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dan catat. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan: 1) Unsur sejarah yang ditampilkan dalam kumpulan cerpen “Teh dan Pengkhianat” karya Iksaka  Banu dikelompokkan menjadi tiga, yaitu peritiwa sejarah 67%, tokoh sejarah 20% dan waktu sejarah 13%. 2) Nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditampilkan dalam kumpulan cerpen “Teh dan Pengkhianat” karya Iksaka Banu terdapat 13 jenis nilai pendidikan karakter dengan jumlah data 25. Kata Kunci: Unsur-unsur sejarah, Nilai Pendidikan Karakter, Teh dan Pengkhianat

Abstract

Sebagian besar guru di level SMP, termasuk di SMP Plus Al-Azhar, kadangkala mengalami kesulitan dalam mengajarkan mata pelajaran ke peserta didik di sekolah, seperti halnya pada mata pelajaran MIPA (Matematika dan IPA) serta bahasa. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan inovasi pembelajaran yang dapat mengaktifkan peserta didik dalam belajar. Salah satu pembelajaran inovatif yang berbasis konstruktivisme adalah guided discovery learning berbasis Actions, Processes, Objects, Schema (APOS). Guided discovery learning berbasis APOS merupakan pembelajaran yang memberikan kesempatan pada peserta didik untuk melakukan upaya coba-coba, penyelidikan, dan menarik kesimpulan dalam rangka menemukan pengetahuan baru. Untuk mengoptimalkan gagasan dan strategi peserta didik dalam menemukan pengetahuan baru, guru memberikan LKS berbasis APOS sebagai bentuk dari ‘guide’ agar proses penemuan menjadi terarah. Kegiatan pelatihan ini sangat berguna bagi guru-guru SMP Plus Al-Azhar karena mereka memperoleh pengetahuan dan wawasan terkait cara implementasi guided discovery learning berbasis APOS beserta aspek psikologinya agar dapat mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif peserta didiknya.

Abstract

Introduction: Students' critical thinking skills must be improved even though during the Covid-19 pandemic, learning is done at home. They have a blended learning model as an alternative learning model that can be applied in schools during the Covid-19 pandemic. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of applying the blended learning model in physical education learning on the critical thinking of high school class students. This research was conducted in one of the senior high schools in the city of Bandung.  Methods: Applying a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The total population used is 249, with a sample of 156 respondents. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The instrument used is a Questionnaire Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents, which adopts from previous research that has been tested for validity with a value of -0.010 - 0.0506 and reliability of 0.682 - 0.745 so that it is declared valid and reliable, used to measure physical strength activity according to by age and distributed via Google Form with data analysis techniques assisted by Microsoft Excel.  Results: The research method used in this study was an actual experiment. By cluster random sampling, two research groups were selected in class XI, divided into two, namely the experimental group and the control group, which both amounted to 35 people—a total of 16 meetings. The experimental and control groups received treatment, the experimental groups received the blended learning model treatment, and the control group received the conventional learning model treatment. Instruments were given to pretest and posttest. In this study, the instrument to measure students' critical thinking skills was adopted from the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal, which consists of five components including 1) inference, 2) recognition of assumptions, 3) deduction, 4) interpretation, and 5) evaluation of arguments. Conclusions: The results of data analysis using the SPSS version 28 test paired sample t-test obtained a p-value of the experimental group of 0.000 0.05, which means that the blended learning model can significantly improve students' critical thinking, while the p-value in the control group is 0.000 0.05 which means that the application of conventional learning models has a significant effect on increasing students' critical thinking skills. The results of the independent sample T-test showed that the p-value = 0.000 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the average between the experimental group and the control group, with the difference in the post-test average value of the experimental being 16.75 more significant than the control group. Blended learning has a more significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills than conventional learning models. A blended learning model can be applied to improve one of the life skills in the 21st century, namely critical thinking for high school students.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the ideological clash in the Perempuan Bersampur Merah novel created by Intan Andaru through characters and sacrifices and background. The research Approach use qualitative approach to describe shape, impact, and exploitation ideology through figures and characterization in social group. The research method is used bibliography method. To analyze novel’s elements Intrinsic use Charles Morris semiotic structure approach, An Analysis Discourse Critical model Norman Fairclough is used to analyze novel’s elements extrinsic. Based on the research results, The flow of Perempuan Bersampur Merah novel was jumping not sequentially with chronological event. Plot framed with event from the past. Character main is Sari. Theme is about human feeling. Room and Time relate with events in Banyuwangi in 1998. The ideology formation of novel is depicted by Intan Andaru as following : The ideology of society group that against culture infatuation that links with witchcraft clash with The ideology group people who think witchcraft and infatuated is culture that must be preserved, Next The of group apparatus and party weak security that should be give protection clash with the ideology of group vigilante society group oppressive dominant witch doctor with the stigma of a shaman witchcraft clash with group helpful shaman treatment Then ideology of equality and Justice voice group clash with ideology of group people who are trying cover events ever was happen. Keywords: Analysis Discourse Critical, Ideological clash, Perempuan Bersampur Merah novel.

Abstract

Kepercayaan diri merupakan aspek penting dalam mengembangkan keterampilan dan kualitas manusia. Mahasiswa dihadapkan dengan berbagai permasalahan dalam pembelajaran dan sudah seharusnya memiliki rasa percaya diri yang tinggi untuk mencapai pembelajaran yang optimal sesuai dengan tujuan. Maka perlunya kajian strategi pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dalam belajar mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi self regulated learning berbasis blended learning terhadap kepercayaan diri dalam pembelajaran permainan tenis meja. Metode yang digunakan quasi eksperimental design dengan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Jasmani Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan 2017. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 26 mahasiswa yang mengontrak perkuliahan pembelajaran permainan tenis meja. Dalam pengambilan sampel peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner kepercayaan diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig. sebesar 0,021 kurang dari taraf signifikansi α sebesar 0,05. Disimpulkan bahwa strategi self-regulated learning berbasis blended learning memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran permainan tenis meja

Abstract

Abstract. This article aims to describe the cultural conflicts occurred by Maghreb immigrants in Paris, especially female immigrants who have various conflicts, due to the difference perception of women both in Maghreb and in France. As a qualitative research, this research instrument is the researchers themselves with data from the novel Les Yeux Baissés by Tahar Ben Jelloun, a Maghreb author living in Paris. The data were then analyzed using the Semiotic theory of Roland Barthes: the novel is considered as a sign to be interpreted. The results of the study indicate that the cause of the conflicts is the differences in tradition, race, and religion. These differences make them feel “unaccepted” in France. Therefore, Moslem women in Paris have two types of cultural identities: Identity of being (the mother of Fathma, the main character) and Identity of becoming (Fathma, the main character). Besides, these Maghebian immigrants belong to the diaspora’s group: First, the Essentialists, diaspora who closed themselves off, just carried on their traditions, culture and religion as they did back home. Second, whom adopt the French culture, religion, and way of life. Third, those with 'floating' traits: born in France, do not know the cultural traditions of their hometown, only know French culture which “does not accept them”. Therefore it can be said that the ‘floating’ generation needs a 'special place' that is neither the culture of their parents, nor the culture of France, and that third place can be called a 'place of transit'.Keywords: Maghreb Diaspora, Moslem Women, Cultural Conflict, Place of Transit

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the characters and moral values in the “Wonder” movie by Stephen Chbosky. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative which aims to describe the character and moral values in the Wonder” movie. Data obtained, analyzed, and explained based on dialogue data contained in the movie protagonist, antagonist, secondary, extras, round dan flat, and based on moral values: commitment to something greater than oneself, self-respect but with humility, self-discipline, and acceptance of personal responsibility, respect and caring for others, caring for other living things an environment. This shows the moral Value that dominates and wants to be conveyed is the Value of caring for others.

Abstract

Abstract: effects of  students perception for school evironment and parenting toward english academic achievement.  The expanatory survey method was aimed at describing the effects of students perception of students for school environment and parenting toward english academic achievement. From the population of all the students of Governmet Junior High Schools  in Citeureup Bogor Jawa Barat (820 people), a sampel of 90  students were randomly selected. The data were collected using a questionnaire and then  analyzed statistically using regretion SPSS 22.0 analyses. The results showed that school evironment and parenting  influential toward english academic achievement. Keywords: English academic achievement, School evironment, parenting Abstrak: pengaruh persepsi siwa atas lingkungan sekolah dan pola asuh orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini  bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh persepsi lingkungan sekolah dan pola asuh orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa Inggris. Penelitian mengunakan metode survey, dengan populasi siswa SMP Negeri di Citeureup kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat. Dengan teknik sampling acak proporsional dipreroleh sampel sebesar 90 orang. Teknik anallisis regresi dengan mengunakan program aplikasi SPSS 22.0. hasil penelitian membuktikan bahawa lingkungan sekolah dan pola asuh berpengaruh terhadap presatasi belajar bahasa Inggris. Kata Kunci: Prestasi  belajar bahasa Inggris, lingkungan sekolah, pola asuh

Abstract

The social, political, and economy atmosphere of a country often evokes the desire of literary activists to express their imagination, feelings, ideology in the form of social, political and cultural criticism through art, including poetry. Likewise, Jacob Isaac, a Bachelor and Master of Arts, as well as Doctor of English Literature, who was born in Kerala, South India, expresses imagination, feelings, ideology by creating the English poetry. In this research, the research writer chose three poetry written by Jacob Isaac as data sources entitled Indifference, Neural Mapping, Aging Liberty. The objective of this research is to describe the meaning of (1) survival in the above poetry; and (2) its implementation in English semantics learning. The research writer uses a qualitative research method and triadic semiotic model of Charles Sanders Peirce, consists of (1) representamen consists of rhyme form and sound, syntactic, semantic, pragmatic relates to deixis, figurative and isotopy aspects); (2) interpretant consists of the biography of Jacob Isaac, history of India, social, political and cultural background aspects). The goal using interpretant is in order to get the research results more objective. This research was conducted from March to May 2021.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and verify the hypothesis about the influence of students’ perception of learning media and student’s motivation toward student’s English achievement. The hypothesis of the research is 1). There is a significant influence between students’ perceptions and student’s motivation at the same time toward the student’s English achievement. 2). There is a significant influence on students’ perceptions toward student’s English achievement. 3). There is a significant influence of student’s motivation toward student’s English achievement. In this research, researchers used research Analyses regression survey method. The population is from students of Muhammadiyah 2 high school in Tangerang, IT As Syukriyah, and Yuppentek 1 high schools in Tangerang in the 2018/2019 academic year, which completed with 661 students. The sample size of 60 students was chosen randomly from all existing classes with Proportionate Stratified random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Hypothesis testing results are summarized as follows: (1) There is a significant influence between the student’s perception and student’s motivation on learning media toward student’s English achievement. The result of this research can be implied to improve the quality of English teaching and learning.
