Abstract

Covid-19 is a new type of virus that easily spreads to humans and causes serious infections such as pneumonia. In Indonesia, the PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restriction) was implemented as an effort to suppress the spread of the corona virus. All activities outside the home are stopped or reduced until the pandemic has subsided. Some regions have implemented government policies to dismiss their students and begin the application of learning methods using an online or online system. Methods: The design of this study used a quasy experiment with a pre-post group design approach without control group design. A sample of 19 respondents was given material about the definition of covid-19, prevention of covid-19. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The data collection method used a questionnaire in the form of google form given to respondents before treatment and after treatment. Data analysis was divided into 2, namely univariate and bivariate. Univariate in the form of frequency distribution to measure the characteristics of respondents, namely age, parent's occupation, and bivariate using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical test aimed at distinguishing attitudes before and after treatment. Results: The Wilcoxon test proved that there was a difference between before and after treatment, namely α (0.05) ˃ 0.001. Discussion: Communication with social media via the internet (whatsapps) affected the attitudes of respondents in preventing covid-19 transmission and increase information and understanding for respondents.

Abstract

Female-genital infection in adolescence causes discomfort and may develop into a serious issue. Islamic boarding school female students are a population at risk of getting a female-genital infection due to the lack of hygiene practice sum up with the lack of parental control. Prevention of female-genital infection through behavioral change is mandatory but the changes in behavior are not an effortless thing. There are underlying constructs that predispose the behavior as described in the Integrated Behavior Model (IBM). Dealing with those constructs will facilitate the change of behavior. However, there was no exact tool for assessing construct that determines the female-genital infection preventive behavior, especially for Islamic boarding school female-student population. That was the major reason for the Female-genital Infection Preventive Behavior Tool (FgIPBT) development. We generated a tool based on IBM constructs and the Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology (INSDV) recommendation regarding genital infection preventive behavior. A deductive method of item generation, expert judgments, and internal consistency test involved 143 female-student from 3 different Islamic boarding schools was done to generate a valid and reliable tool. Total 177 valid items composed on the first phase and two different arrangements of items has subjected the reliability on the second phase. Items that were arranged based on behavior items and assessed every IBM construct (Type 1) had higher reliability value than items that were arranged based on IBM construct for all behavior items (Type 2). Assessing different construct for each point of behavior at the same time generate more reliable data than assessing the same construct for all points of behavior.

Abstract

Female students who live in Islamic boarding schools are a population at risk for genital infections. The practice of personal/vaginal hygiene or menstrual hygiene is a form of maintaining reproductive health by preventing genital infections. Some bad behavior related to vaginal hygiene is a trigger factor for female genital infections. This study aimed to examine the factors behind the behavior of preventing genital infection in female students in the Islamic boarding school environment. This study was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was all female students. Determination of the sample in this study was carried out randomly with the number of subjects determined based on the rule-of-thumb sample size for path analysis, namely a minimum of 100 subjects, a minimum of 5 subjects per parameter, and a minimum of 10 subjects per variable. So that a sample of 150 female students was determined. The independent variable in this study was the behavior of preventing genital infection, while the dependent variables was: (1) behavioral intentions, (2) correct knowledge about behavior, (3) perception of the meaning of behavior, (4) environmental barriers, (5) experiential attitudes, (6) instrumental attitudes, (7) injunctive norms, (8) descriptive norms, (9) perceived behavioral control, (10) self-efficacy. This study indicated that infection prevention behavior can be determined by the behavior of female students prevention of genital infection is not influenced by the behavior of environmental barriers. Good knowledge and skills did not affect female students in taking measures to prevent genital infections; therefore, it was necessary to develop a more heterogeneous number of respondents and a questionnaire that can be understood by respondents so that an integrated behavioral model can become a reference to change behavior, and use methods that can improve their behavior.

Abstract

Katuk leaves play a role in the prolactin reflex and stimulate the alveoli to produce breast milk, because they contain polyphenyls and steroids. It also stimulates the hormone oxytocin so that it stimulates the release of breast milk. Katuk leaves also contain several aliphatic compounds. Katuk leaves which can increase milk production, are thought to originate from the hormonal effects of sterol chemical compounds that are estrogenic. Type of research One Group Pretest Posttest Design with pre-test and post-test design. The sample used was mothers who were breastfeeding with babies less than 2 months old, a total of 30 respondents were taken by total sampling. The research instrument used questionnaires and leaflets. The statistical test uses the Shapiro Wilk test with the SPSS 16.0 program. 50% of respondents had sufficient knowledge and 93.3% of respondents had good knowledge regarding the benefits of katuk leaves in increasing milk production. Based on Shapiro Wilk's statistical test, it was found that p value = 0.000, so that p value = 0.000 < α = 0.05. The influence of health education on health education about the benefits of katuk leaves to increase milk production in nursing mothers. Conclusion: There is an effect of health education on mother's knowledge about the benefits of katuk leaves to increase milk production

Abstract

Stunting cases continue to increase along with the high risk of malnutrition, increasing prevalence of malnutrition, and decreasing productivity. Several factors related to the incidence of stunting in toddlers include birth weight, history of infectious diseases and birth spacing. This research identifies the relationship between maternal employment and the incidence of stunting in children. The research design was cross-sectional, carried out on a population of mothers with toddlers, all of whom were taken as a sample of 20 people. Instruments used in collecting questionnaire data. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship between maternal employment and the incidence of stunting, with a p value of 0.000 (p ≤ 0.05). These data imply that maternal employment plays an important role in children's nutritional attainment. Employment status is directly related to the household's ability to provide quality and sufficient food.
