Merit can be understood as the standard of how human being behaves in relation to others. Merit or moral value can be classified in some categories depending on the perspectives by which such merit is viewed. In general, merit is classified into two, namely formal and material. This writing is intended to discuss how such classification works within the context of Islamic education. It is believed that Islamic merit only remains as subject matter but it is not internalized into studentsâ way of life. Thus, even though students achieve high scores in their Islamic subject matter, their behaviour is not acceptable in the society.

Human being is actually a combination of some inseparable parts such as body and mind. If one of the parts is missing, such creature is not a human being anymore. To reach a comprehensive human being or it also called as insan kamil, an education is a must. Through education, the balanced role between body and mind can be attained.

As a form of daâwah, the grave pilgrimage has didactic function. Some didactic values contained in the pilgrimage of the grave are the exemplary to the charismatic figures, the transformation of remembering death as a spirit of the good deed, the building of social capital, the medium of gratitude, and of order and obedience. One of the challenges faced in Indonesian education is the rampant violence done by students and parents to teachers. This problem can not be solved only through the application of the concept of humanistic education. Therefore, the author offers the concept of humanistic religious education. This concept contains the use of some didactic values of the grave pilgrimage to complement the weaknesses of the concept of humanistic education. The use of didactic value is motivated by the reason that the grave pilgrimage is the religious practice that is easily accessible to the public from all social classes, except for those who reject it. Some of the companion values of the concept of humanistic education are the sacralization of the function of the teacher, the transformation of remembering death for charity and commitment to order and obedience. The sacralization of teachers is necessary to awaken parents and students that violence to teachers can lead to quality for perpetrators of violence. The concept of charity should be maintained in education to encourage the awareness of parents and students to not only need to respect the teacher during the learning process, but also to continue after the student completes his education. Commitment to obeying the order is necessary so that the parents and the student do not resort to violence to the teacher when the teacher carries out his disciplinary duties.

The successful education depends heavily on the hand of educators. The best teachers would surely deliver educated persons. Contemporarily, teachers have to face complicated challenges that put them into difficult situation. On the one hand, teachers must comprehend all the subjects of study and at the same time, they are demanded to be creative and innovative. These two are essential in learning process. Nevertheless, amid the increase number of teachers, there has been deserted number of creative and innovative teachers. The so-called Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) program is essential in this regards; to train teachers to be innovative and crative. This article deals with the PPL performed by students of the State Institute for Islamic Studies who participated the program. Keyword: Creativity, Lesson Study, Students. Keberhasilan pendidikan ditentukan oleh banyak faktor. Salah satunya adalah faktor pendidik. Pendidik yang hebat akan melahirkan siswa yang hebat pula. Dewasa ini tugas pendidik semakin berat, karena selain dituntut menguasai setiap materi, pendidik juga dituntut untuk kreatif dan inovatif. Kedua hal ini sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Setiap tahun jumlah guru terus bertambah, tapi sayangnya jumlah guru yang dianggap kreatif dan inovatif tidaklah banyak, mereka masih terjebak dalam sistem klasik dengan cara mengajar yang kurang menarik dan cenderung membosankan. Oleh karena itu setiap calon guru harus dilatih sejak awal agar mereka menjadi guru-guru yang kreatif. Salah satu caranya adalah melalui Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL). Tulisan ini berisikan penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa PPL IAIN Tulungagung Fakultas Tarbiyah. Untuk melihat sejauh mana kreativitas mereka dalam mengajar dan bagaimana pengaruhnya dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Kreativitas, Lesson Study, Mahasiswa.

The development of technology and information today, especially in media information and communication can produce pattern of thinking and attitude to be a good progress. Moreover, with the rapid develop of technology right now, the world of education also join to plays a role in the process of utilizing of emerging technologies. In this case, utilizing the learning technology media to benefit optimally is useful for education process, as well as the teacher’s role that also needed for teaching and learning philosophical of Islamic education. The students are able to understand the material about philosophy and to hone the students’ thinking happily and motivated if the teacher teach them using multimedia interactive. Since this learning strategy can guide the students completely in order to master the philosophy material quickly. This multimedia Interactive help the students to learn and understand the materials of philosophy which can operate by computer. Those CD interactive program made by compound some materials in the form of film, moving picture, animation, and games. Therefore, the students are able to understand Philosophy of Islamic Education by utilizing the virtual picture of material which was packed in compact disc form even can be operated with computer or laptop.

In Islam, activity of da’wah is not only invite the public to kindness but also prevent the people from nahi munkar. In that practice, dai puts forward the encouragement of kindness rather than nahi munkar. The reason is that nahi munkar be more risk in da'wah. Even though nahi munkar is a more important obligation in da'wah. The Prophet Muhammad practiced nahi munkar by giving priority to methods through hands, oral and heart. Nahi munkar in da'wah is always related to community norms and traditions. Therefore, dai can endure impossible by knowing the various types of mad’u. Dai will face a different mad'u in tradition, religious understanding, mastery of science and level of intelligence. Of course the measurement of truth in munkar is al-Quran, Hadis and the understanding of ulama, not on the basic of personal understanding.
