Abstract

This study aims to explain the implementation of online learning and teacher strategies in improving students' critical thinking skills in PAI subjects at SMPN 1 Sumbergempol Tulungagung and SMPN 3 Tulungagung. The research method is qualitative. The research approach is phenomenological. The type of research is field research. The research design was a multi-site study. Data were obtained by in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The research data is then organized into categories, described into units, synthesized, arranged into patterns, selected priority data, and made conclusions so that they are easy to understand. The results showed that WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Classroom, Zoom, Google Meet, One Drive, Google Form, and Microsoft Office 365 teachers were integrated. The strategy used by the teacher is to design learning and implementation of learning that directs critical thinking. The teacher sharpens thinking levels from C1, C2,3 to C4, C5, C6. The task given is to find material from the internet and analyze it. Students will use critical, analytical, comparative, selective and creative reasoning.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to share the findings of a quantitative research which aims at helping students to be better in Public Speaking (Da’wah). The first step is doing post-test in random students to know their capability on Public Speaking (Da’wah). Following this, treatment do by the researcher in 9 meeting and every meeting the students do 3P’s Success there are Preparation, Practice, Performance but the performance do in another day. After do the treatment the researcher does post-test to know is the treatment working on the students or not, the treatment does in the last 2 days in each day 10 students do the post-test individually in front of audience to know their skill are improve or not.

Abstract

Penelitian dalam disertasi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena pengembangan lembaga pendidikan yang berkualitas mempunyai proses yang bagus untuk menciptakan prestasi siswa yang tinggi dirancanglah kurikulum yang baik yang diajarkan oleh guru-guru yang berkualitas dan produk yang baik dibuktikan dengan siswanya mampu bersaing dengan sekolah-sekolah unggulan di dalam maupun di luar kota sehingga, dengan proses yang baik madrasah tidak lagi dipandang sebelah mata bahkan menjadi sekolah unggulan pilihan utama masyarakat. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah 1) analisis data kasus tunggal, 2) analisis lintas situs. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Formulasi strategi kepala madrasah dalam pengembangan bakat dan minat siswa di MTsN 3 Nganjuk dan MTsN 2 Kota Kediri dilakukan dengan: perumusan visi dan misi madrasah, menentukan tujuan perencanaan pengembangan bakat dan minat siswa sudah dilaksanakan oleh madrasah, pemetaan bakat minat dilakukan berdasarkan kemampuan dan bidang studi. Rekrutmen siswa pendidikan dasar dengan pelaksanaan penilaian seleksi yang ketat dengan memperhatikan beberapa penilaian yaitu rekrutmen jalur akademik dilalui dengan nilai raport dan olimpiade. Rekrutmen seleksi non akademik dilihat dari hasil hafalan al-Qur’an siswa, olahraga, seni dan sebagainya. (2) Implementasi strategi kepala madrasah dalam pengembangan bakat dan minat siswa di MTsN 3 Nganjuk dan MTsN 2 Kota Kediri dilakukan dengan: 1) Program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang disediakan untuk semua siswa sesuai dengan potensi, minat, bakat, dan kemampuannya, sehingga siswa dapat berkembang secara maksimal. 2) Kegiatan pendukung melalui kegiatan rutin dan spontan yang dilakukan secara maksimal dapat mengembangkan bakat minat siswa.

Abstract

Selametan (communal feast) is tradition to commomerate one’s death day conducted by the Javanese community. Its implementation is different from one region to others. The study focused on describing and explaining the differences of selametan between santri and abangan community. It was a field study carried out in Tanen Village, Rejotangan District, Tulungagung Regency. The data were obtained by conducting an observation to the Tanen community. Besides, the data were also collected through interview and literature study. The results indicate that there are two versions of implementing the selametan tradition in Tanen Village. The abangan version still maintains traditions from the ancestors, in terms of using sesajen (offering) as a cultural symbol and means in a ritual. The time also remains the same as inherited from the ancestors, in which the ritual is conducted from the first day until nyewu dina or 1000 th day. The santri version only conducts the selametan tradition from the first until seventh days after the funeral and does not use sesajen considering its inappropriateness with Islamic lessons. Apart from these differences, the selametan tradition has positive functions, including a means to give alms, close the bound between community members, entertain a family of a deceased, and remember the death.

Abstract

Indonesian are very rich in ethnic, culture, religion, race, and also language. Indonesian’s diversity at one side could potentially be a nation's progress factor and on the other side could be a serious threat to the emergence of various social problems. In fact, Indonesia currently facing the problem of intolerance and radicalism. It shows that awareness about the importance of respecting diversity and living in diversity is not yet optimal in society. Education, especially religious education occupies strategic role in effort to raise awareness about the importance of coexistence in diversity. This article will review the design of islamic education in multiculturalism perspective.

Abstract

The expert agreed about the importance of communicating in education studies. Education studies department needs communication for liven up the class and learning atmoshave here as a dialogical mechanism, not only mechanism. The problem is the teacher as a central point in learning activities didn’t have aby skill to liven up the class atmosphere. They often failed liven up the class effectively because they failed in communicating. The communicating ability of teachers is an urgent aspect. The communication problem in education studies is not about important or not important, but it is about how the teacher in class create communication effectively. The effective communication’s learning in education studies need two way communication. Teachers and students must havethe same ability to communicate well. This article will explain deep review about the communiation between teachers and students in the islamic perspective.

Abstract

Merit can be understood as the standard of how human being behaves in relation to others. Merit or moral value can be classified in some categories depending on the perspectives by which such merit is viewed. In general, merit is classified into two, namely formal and material. This writing is intended to discuss how such classification works within the context of Islamic education. It is believed that Islamic merit only remains as subject matter but it is not internalized into students’ way of life. Thus, even though students achieve high scores in their Islamic subject matter, their behaviour is not acceptable in the society.
