Abstract

This is ex post facto research to find the relation between student’s perceptions to the statistics lecturer in learning process with statistics achievement of students semester V of the Department of Mathematics Education of Universitas Muslim Maros. The population is all students of the Department of Mathematics Education Universitas Muslim Maros in academic year 2017/2018. And the sample is 30 respondents of students who taught by statistics lecturer. Data analyze by SPSS software. According to analyze get that student’s perception to statistics lecturer generally very positive with average 138,57 and statistics achievement is very good with average 79,63. Besides that, inferential show that there is relation between student’s perceptions to the statistics lecturer with coefficient is 0,594. From analyze, it can conclude that there are relation between student’s perceptions to the statistics lecturer in learning process with statistics achievement of students semester V of Department of Mathematics Education Universitas Muslim Maros.

Abstract

This research was an experimental research that aimmed to know and measure the effectiveness of the application of Problem Based Learning model (PBL) with the assistance of animation media on tetragon material. This research type was quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was the students of class VII SMP Negeri 5 Mandai with a random sample of 28 students in an experimental class. Data collection using a test of learning achievement that has been validated by the expert. The data of this research were analyzed descriptively and inferential with normality test as prerequisite analysis test. The results of the data analysis showed that the average pre-test was 45,57 while the average post-test was 84,32. Average gain scores normalized 0,72 in the high category and normally distributed for learning achievement data. Based on the t-test obtained 0,000 < α = 0,025 we could conclud that there was a significant increase. The post-test also showed that 26 out of 28 students (92,86%) have reached KKM score in mathematics in SMP Negeri 5 Mandai. The results of this study indicate that there was a significant improvement on the mathematics learning achievement of students after being taught with PBL model with the assistance of animation media on tetragon material.

Abstract

The study aimed at discovering the use of animation media on Mathematics learning at Islamic School (MTs.) Paitana Jeneponto which covered the description on students’ activities, students’ responses, and the improvement of learning outcomes. The type of the study was quantitative research, with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population were students of grade VII at MTs. Paitana. The sample of the study were 24 students, selected randomly with assumption that all of the classes of grade VII were homogen in terms of learnin outcomes as the experiment class. Data were collected by using observation sheets of students’ activities, students’ responses, and the test of learning outcomes. Requirement test for analysis used test of normality. Data were analyzed by employing one sample t-test technique. The result of the study revealed that (1) the impact of the use of animation media toward students’ activities are described as follows: in general, students tend to pay attention on the animation media without other irrelevant activities of the lesson and the students’ activities overall was in ideal category; (2) students give positive responses on learning proved more than 80% or all of the questions received positive responses to more than 50% students; (3) the mean score of students’ pretest was 28.79 with the standard of deviation 10.118 from each of the ideal score 100. The gain score was 0.71 from learning outcomes data which was categorized as high, data were distributed normally with the level of significance 0.269 for normalized gain data. By the t-test, the significance value obtained 0.000 meaning that there was improvement on students’ learning outcomes in studying Mathematics after the students taught by employing direct learning model using animation media. The final test indicated as well that 22 out of 24 students (91.67%) achieved the KKM score on Mathematics learning at MTs. Paitana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Sparkoll Videoscribe dengan kriteria yang memenuhi validasi, efektif, dan praktis pada materi pokok trigonometri. Jenis yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X SMAN 8 Maros, dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 71 orang peserta didik terdiri dari 35 peserta didik dari kelas X MIPA 2 dan 36 peserta didik dari kelas X IPS 2. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran matematika berbasis videoscribe pada materi pokok trigonometri. Berdasarkan hasil angket validasi dan respons peserta didik mengenai kelayakan dan kemenarikan video pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata 2.745 oleh ahli materi, dan 2,8 oleh ahli media sedangkan hasil angket respons peserta didik pada skala uji coba X MIPA 2 diperoleh rata-rata 2,924 dengan kriteria “menarik” sedangkan X IPS 2 diperoleh rata-rata 2,885 dengan kriteria “menarik”. Berdasarkan hasil uji efektivitas Adapun hasil perhitungan dari Posttest X MIPA 2 yaitu nilai rata-rata 81,2 dan X IPS 2 yaitu nilai rata-rata 80,2. Tersebut menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai bahan ajar untuk membantu peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil dari uji dapat diketahui bahwa metode Research and Development (R&D) dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran sparkoll videoscribe karena dapat membantu peserta didik dalam memahami pelajaran yang ada dan bisa digunakan di masa pandemi saat ini.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal events or facts, circumstances, phenomena, variables and circumstances that occur during the research by presenting what actually happened and know the politeness of the language used by Dusun Tangkuru society when interacting with Makassar society. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method, with a form of descriptive data presentation. Data obtained through the interview process. The data source is taken from Dusun Tangkuru society. Based on the results of research on mapping the language politeness of Dusun Tangkuru society towards Makassar language, it was found that there was a level of politeness used by the Tangkuru hamlet community. Not only that, the researchers also found that there were factors that influenced the pattern of politeness of Dusun Tangkuru society towards Makassar language which could be caused by social factors such as stratification, distance and kinship.

Abstract

English as an international language is one of the general subjects taught at school. Many school apply English as subject. From the explanation which has been explained above the researcher was research about course book. This study aims to know the effectiveness of the English course book by pre-experimental method with giving the students pre-test and post-test. The researcher conducted the first grade students in the senior high school in Maros specially at MA DDI Alliritengae Maros. The results show that learning outcomes after using the English Couse Book titled "English Language", it can be seen that the average value is 66.42 and the classical completeness is 15.79%. Where, the average learning outcomes are still less than 75 and the classical completeness is still less than 75%. So it can be said that the learning outcomes also do not meet the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) specified. In conclusion, learning using the English Course Book titled "English Language" is not effective to be applied in class X.1 IPA MA. DDI Alliritengae Maros.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar matematika siswa melalui metode Spontaneous Group Discussion. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA DDI Alliritengae yang berjumlah 22 orang. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus, setiap siklus berlangsung selama 4 kali pertemuan, 3 kali pertemuan adalah pelaksanaan tindakan dan satu kali pertemuan adalah mengisi angket respon siswa. Siklus I dan siklus II dilaksanakan 4 tahap, yaitu: (1) rencana tindakan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) pengamatan dan (4) refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa melalui metode Spontaneous Group Discussion pada siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA DDI Alliritengae. Hal ini terlihat pada meningkatnya skor rata-rata aktivitas siswa dari siklus I yaitu 60%, sedangkan pada siklus II yaitu 76%. Pada siklus I aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori aktif tapi masih di bawah target yang diinginkan yaitu 70% maka penelitian ini dilanjutkan ke siklus II dengan melakukan refleksi yang terjadi pada siklus I, dan pada siklus II aktivitas siswa juga berada pada kategori aktif.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen (Quasi Experimen) dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Perbedaan nilai siswa pada kelas kontrol dan eksperimen, 2) Perbedaan nilai pre-test dan posttest siswa, dan 3) Pendekatan STEM dengan media magnetic cube dan stick berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu Simple Random Sampling. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang dipilih adalah kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol di MTs. Muhammadiyah Sibatua Pangkajene. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar observasi aktivitas pembelajaran siswa dan tes hasil belajar siswa yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Data penelitian ini menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji anava dua jalur. Hasil uji hipotesis penelitian menunjukkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Ada perbedaan nilai siswa pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, (2) Ada perbedaan nilai pre-test dan post-test siswa, (3) Ada pengaruh pendekatan STEM dengan media magnetic cube dan stick terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach. The type of research is experimental, aiming to determine the effectiveness of using UNOKA as a teaching tool in understanding the concept of flat shapes among students of SMPIT Plus Al-Mubarak Borikamase. This research applies a pre-experimental design in the form of a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population includes all students of SMPIT Plus Al-Mubarak, with the sample being class VIII, consisting of 19 students. Data were collected through a concept understanding test and validated observation sheets. The data were analyzed both descriptively and inferentially. Based on the results of observations, there was an improvement in students’ concept understanding test scores, which was partly due to increased student engagement during the learning process. Observation results showed that nearly all students responded positively, with an average percentage of 95.67%, and questionnaire responses showed that 91.59% of students responded positively to the implementation of UNOKA teaching aids. The average pre-test score before using UNOKA was 67.63 with a mastery percentage of 0%. After using UNOKA, the average score increased to 85.79 with a 100% mastery rate. The average N-Gain was 0.5389, which falls into the moderate to high category. Based on the hypothesis testing criteria, it was concluded that H₀ was rejected, indicating that the use of UNOKA is effective as a teaching tool in enhancing the understanding of flat shape concepts among students at SMPIT Plus Al-Mubarak. This research shows a significant improvement in conceptual understanding through the use of UNOKA as a learning medium.
