Abstract

Studi ini berfokus pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran insya’ sebagai keterampilan puncak dalam bahasa Arab yang mengintegrasikan aspek linguistik, kognitif, dan afektif. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih dominannya praktik pembelajaran insya’ yang bersifat struktural dan berorientasi hafalan kaidah sehingga tujuan komunikatif belum tercapai secara optimal. Penelitian bertujuan merumuskan strategi pengembangan pembelajaran insya’ berbasis sintesis pemikiran Rasyid Ahmad Thu‘aimah dan Ali Ahmad Madkūr sebagai fondasi keterampilan produktif bahasa Arab. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan dan analisis isi terhadap karya kedua tokoh serta literatur terkait maharah kitābah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pilar latihan bermakna, komunikatif, integratif, dan bertahap menurut Thu‘aimah, jika dipadukan dengan pendekatan humanistik Madkūr yang menempatkan menulis sebagai proses kognitif–afektif dan reflektif, menghasilkan model pembelajaran insya’ yang komunikatif, kontekstual, dan berorientasi pada peserta didik. This study focuses on the development of a composition learning strategy as a peak skill in Arabic that integrates linguistic, cognitive, and affective aspects. The background of this research is the dominance of structural-based composition learning practices that focus on memorizing rules, which means communicative goals are not optimally achieved. The study aims to formulate a strategy for developing composition learning based on the synthesis of the ideas of Rasyid Ahmad Thu‘aimah and Ali Ahmad Madkūr as the foundation for productive Arabic language skills. The method used is qualitative with literature study and content analysis of the works of these two figures and related literature on maharah kitābah. The findings show that the pillars of meaningful, communicative, integrative, and gradual practice according to Thu‘aimah, when combined with Madkūr's humanistic approach that positions writing as a cognitive-affective and reflective process, result in a communicative, contextual, and learner-oriented composition learning model.

Abstract

Perubahan makna (semantic change atau al-taghayyur al-dilālī) merupakan fenomena linguistik yang tidak terelakkan karena bahasa bersifat dinamis dan terus berkembang mengikuti perubahan sosial, budaya, dan intelektual masyarakat penuturnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep, jenis, faktor penyebab, serta implikasi perubahan makna dalam perspektif ilmu semantik dan linguistik historis dengan fokus pada bahasa Arab dan bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, melalui analisis terhadap buku-buku linguistik, artikel jurnal, serta sumber-sumber klasik dan modern yang relevan. Landasan teori yang digunakan meliputi Teori Semantik Struktural Ferdinand de Saussure, Teori Medan Makna Jost Trier, serta pendekatan relevansi sosial-kultural yang menekankan hubungan antara bahasa dan konteks masyarakat penuturnya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan makna dalam bahasa Arab dapat diklasifikasikan ke dalam tujuh bentuk utama, yaitu penyempitan makna (takhṣīṣ), perluasan makna (taʿmīm), pergeseran makna (naql), peningkatan nilai makna (ameliorasi), penurunan nilai makna (peyorasi), perubahan figuratif (majāz dan istiʿārah), serta ambiguitas semantik (polisemi). Faktor penyebab perubahan makna meliputi perkembangan budaya dan peradaban, kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, pengaruh bahasa asing, serta perbedaan interpretasi dan nilai rasa masyarakat. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa perubahan makna tidak hanya merupakan proses linguistik internal, tetapi juga refleksi perubahan sosial dan budaya. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman terhadap perubahan makna memiliki implikasi penting dalam kajian semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, serta pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan Indonesia secara kontekstual dan historis.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the dominance of conventional tarkib (Arabic grammar) tests that emphasise rule memorisation and iʿrāb analysis, so they do not yet reflect learners’ ability to use sentence structures communicatively. It aims to describe the conceptual development of a CEFR-oriented evaluation instrument for tarkib and to map syntactic ability indicators across proficiency levels. Using qualitative, descriptive library research with content analysis of key works on Arabic language testing and language assessment design, the study formulates hierarchically ordered indicators of tarkib ability from A1 to C2 based on accuracy, structural complexity, and contextual appropriateness. The findings also organise representative item formats multiple choice, completion, sentence transformation, error recognition and correction, iʿrāb analysis, and productive sentence-making into a coherent blueprint for communicative tarkib assessment that can guide teachers and curriculum designers in constructing more diagnostic, level-sensitive tests.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the design of the Arabic language curriculum by examining its components and relevance to 21st-century learning needs. The background of this research is based on the increasing demand for education that is responsive and adaptive to global challenges, particularly in the digital era and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The research focuses on aligning Arabic language learning with essential skills of the 21st century, including critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, digital literacy, and cross-cultural competence. A qualitative descriptive method was employed by reviewing relevant literature, research findings, and policy documents on Arabic language education and curriculum innovation. The results indicate that the Arabic curriculum needs to integrate technology, project-based learning, and culturally contextual materials to enhance communication skills and real-world application among students. Furthermore, periodic teacher training is essential to master modern teaching methods and utilize supportive technologies effectively. Evaluation systems should also be more comprehensive by incorporating both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This study concludes that the design of the Arabic language curriculum should not only serve as a guide for teaching but also as a strategic instrument to equip students with global competencies aligned with the demands of the 21st century.

Abstract

This paper explores the rhetorical concept of al-Iṭnâb (overstatement) in the Qur’an, a significant stylistic feature within the field of Arabic rhetoric (balāghah). Al-Iṭnâb is discussed as a linguistic strategy that involves extending expressions without altering their core meaning, enhancing clarity, emphasis, and aesthetic appeal. Specifically, the study examines four primary forms of al-Iṭnâb found in the Qur’anic text: (1) the specification of a general statement with a particular one, (2) the explanation following a general statement, (3) repetition, and (4) interruption or interjection within sentences. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study analyzes Qur’anic verses that illustrate these forms, employing content analysis based on classical balāghah theories. The findings demonstrate that al-Iṭnâb is not merely an embellishment but serves profound communicative purposes: reinforcing meanings, emphasizing divine messages, and beautifying the language. The research underscores the importance of understanding the Qur’anic rhetorical system for interpreting its deeper spiritual and aesthetic meanings.
